Pinnacle replaced the whole roof on our detached house. They scheduled the work to avoid some bad weather and once they started they were really efficient and ensured that any parts of the roof being worked on were waterproofed before they left. They worked their way round the roof in a really efficient way and replaced sections of it at a time. They arranged scaffolding, skips & specialist equipment at specific times during the 8 day job and even resourced up when they needed an extra person on busy days. They even added some insulation in our loft while it was exposed and hoovered the loft to remove tile debris. Overall we were really pleased with how efficient, tidy, respectful and friendly they were. Great job.

Ian has done a great job replacing the roof to our front bay and the vertical tiling below it. He's a highly personable chap - as are the rest of his team - and will see his way round to sorting any challenge. In our case this involved working with the team pointing our property and arranging changes to the scaffolding to be able to do the work. As well as the tiling, the project involved quite a lot of lead work and this too was first class. Ian will be our first port of call for any future roofing work and I have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Once again Ian has come to my rescue with his timely, friendly and entirely trustworthy service. After roofing problems were uncovered on a survey commissioned by prospective buyers Ian organised scaffolders and was up on the roof of my five storey building within a week or so. Fixing tiles, lead capping the firewalls and sorting out the ridge tiles. Brilliant! I highly recommend his services - do not hestate to call him.

I called Ian to advise on a problem in the front slope of my slated roof which was letting water in above the first-floor windows. He identified and explained the problem and the proposed solution to me in clear and understandabe terms, recommending less radical, and thus considerably less expensive, work than had previously been recommended by another contractor, providing what I considered to be a fair and competitive quote. When the initial timing of the work was necessarily delayed because of storm Eunice, Ian kept me fully up to date with his plans and the delay was kept to a minimum. Ian and his team started work the day after the scaffolding was erected, stripping the front section of the roof slope, replacing felt, battens and lead valleys and replacing the tiles. The work was completed to the expected timetable, unintrusively and with the minimum of disruption, with the site left scrupulously tidy at the end of each day. Throughout the job Ian was courteous, friendly and communicative, explaining clearly what he was doing as he went along, and taking trouble to source matching replacement tiles so that the final repair is barely noticeable externally. His experience and knowledge of his subject is very obvious and it is clear that he takes great pride and pleasure in doing a good job. Ian, his some Luke and their colleague were a pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't have a moment's hesitation in engaging this firm again nor in recommending them to others.

The roof of my attic dormer was damaged during storm Eunice. I was on the phone to Ian whilst the tiles were falling! He inspected the damage the next day and gave me an estimate. The work was completed within a few days of my acceptance. Ian was professional and courteous throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

The pitched roof to our house lost several tiles due to storm Eunice. I called Ian on the day of the storm and he assessed the damage the following day. A quote was promptly provided and agreed and the scaffold went up the next day with the work completed the day after that. The work was also completed within the agreed price. Ian and team were able to schedule the work soon after agreeing on cost, with the scaffolding erected the very next day. On the main day, they arrived promptly and all work was completed within the one day with all of the removed materials taken away. I was shown photos of the completed work and the scaffolding was cleared a few days later. A friend had recommended Ian to me after having a much larger job done in the last few months. Ian and his team arrived on time every single day and worked hard throughout the day. At the end of each day they would clean up thoroughly outside of the property thus reducing dirt coming into the house. They took into consideration that we were working from home and kept the noise to a minimum. We are very happy with the end result and costs. They were also great to deal with on a personal level. Ian offered great advice before the project began which helped us refine our design and achieve what we wanted. Ian came round to view and quote repairs on my roof, gutters and chimney giving advice and proposed works. His team were very clean, diligent and polite throughout and left no trace or mess working at the front and rear of the house.

Ian had initialling done some repairs on a small roof in the Summer, and once we had decided that we needed a new roof on the main house, he was our first point of call. It is a large, complicated roof, nearly 100 years old, and although we are positioned away from the main road with restricted access, Ian and his team made light of all the problems. The work was done efficiently, in a short space of time (considering it was Winter), and the finished job is, in my opinion, exceptional. It was also completed within the budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pinnacle Roofing.

We recently commissioned Pinnacle Roofing to carry out some investigations into leaks from our roof/guttering which have been problematic for quite a while. Ian visited a number of times to review and investigate the problem. He proposed a few options for us highlighting the benefits of each and we went forward with his proposed option involving laying lead works to our guttering. He was very helpful to us by providing clear explanations of the work and was very obliging when we asked for a delay to the start of the works. On arrival, he and his colleagues worked swiftly and from the pictures we received of the work, it was quite evident that it had all been done to high specification – we were very pleased with Ian’s efficiency, his technical knowledge, his excellent customer service, the swiftness of the work, with no mess, and most of all the finished repair works. Since the recent repair, it has rained a lot and we now have no more leaks! We would definitely use Pinnacle Roofing again, and highly recommend Ian in respect of his knowledge, expertise and high specification work.

What a joy to have two exceptionally skilled and professional men work on our roof. Ian and his son Luke retiled our whole roof and the result was outstanding. We have a listed 1852 villa in Hove which is fun to live in but is often difficult and/or expensive to repair. In this case the problem was a long roof gulley between two high pitched roofs that had been leaking on and off over the last 3 years into the bedroom below. SW gales do not help in this neighbourhood and building standards have evolved considerably over the last 160+ years! A previous attempted repair by another contractor had failed, probably under the stress of the hot summer of 2018. Access was difficult and scaffolding was essential for safe working conditions. Another trustworthy and highly recommended trader, Mark Gunn of MRG Ltd, now based in Steyning, recommended Ian Johnson at Pinnacle Roofing. Ian met or exceeded all our expectations - which is the best definition of a quality performance! He came on time, discussed the job and the various options available and the likely costs involved. We agreed that a full replacement with asphalt would be the best solution and we were happy to go ahead with him. His scaffolders and asphalters arrived on time and were equally courteous and careful. The job was completed on time and inside budget, with photographs to show progress. Given my personal fear of heights, this was essential! It was a pleasure to have Ian and his son in and around our home and handling this quite complicated repair for us and we would be pleased to recommend them to anyone else needing roof repairs in or around Hove.

Ian came to look at our flat roof which was leaking. He did a thorough examination, took photos and explained the problem to me. He then came back (on the only dry day in a very rainy two week period) to do the repairs and sent photos to show us what he'd done. He followed up with a phone call to make sure the leak had stopped. He was friendly, courteous and did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. Ian has carried out several tiling jobs for us and has exceeded our expectations on every occasion, we have had some tricky jobs to get around and Ian has completed them with a great level of attention and detail. we wont go to anyone else now as we know exactly how ians works will turn out every time we use him in the future.

We had work done our dormer roof in early May 2018. The roof and lead flashing was replaced, to a very high standard. Ian and his son obviously take a real pride in their work and were very happy to invite me up the scaffolding to inspect the quality of the job! He was also happy to repair some loose tiles and cracks in the chimney, and even cleaned out the gutters for us. At all times he kept us informed about what was going in and he was thoroughly professional at all times.

We decided to replace the original and very intricate clay tile roof on our Edwardian semi-detached Brighton home. Dating back to 1907, our priority was for the new roof to look exactly the same as when first built. Ian and the Pinnacle team surpassed our expectations, the roof looks incredible. All original decorative features maintained and the quality of the craftmanship is truly impressive, by far the best roof in Surrenden Rd and beyond. Always a good sign, but other tradesmen who have since worked on our home have commented on the quality as have passers by. A great job and we are so glad we went with Pinnacle. Roof now good for another 100 years!
