Portland Plumbing LTD

Fast, friendly and efficient. Everything kept simple and sorted. Good communications and no surprises in invoicing. Problem resolved same day.

Jack was recommended by one of my neighbours; I needed a boiler servicing and am also interested in a bathroom renovation. He's been very easy to communicate with, and happy to pop round to discuss the work - and didn't grumble when I had to reschedule at late notice because the water company were digging up the road. Adam came to service the boiler, and was faultlessly tidy, polite, focused and professional. I'd not hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be calling them for the renovation and all my future plumbing.

I met Jack when he attended the flat above as they had a leak coming into my daughter's property. He was polite, tenacious and very helpful. He found the leak, fixed it and kept me informed throughout. I would not hesitate to contact him again or recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much Jack. We can finally complete the kitchen confident that the leak has been fixed.

Firstly and most importantly, Jack has built a great team around him who all played their part in delivering our 2 new bathrooms! From the start Jack worked with us on the design process, took on board our ideas, while bringing in his experience to ensure we got the look we wanted and also delivered a functional use of space. Throughout the project communication was key and whether that came from Jack or the team, we were always informed as to what was going on. Throughout their time with us everyone was extremely professional, respectful and meticulously tidy, ensuring they didn’t finish their day until they had cleaned and cleared tools away, enabling us to continue to live in the space with no issues. Portland Plumbing have delivered 2 stunning luxury bathrooms, meeting all our expectations!

Really professional and high quality work. Jack, Josh and Paul all did a great job at installing an outdoor tap and connecting it to the water supply for us. They also gave great advice regarding leaks in our bathroom - I can trust that they’ll recommend the best fix even if that’s from a different trade (e.g surface repair specialists), rather than charging us for the wrong fix. Great communication, fast responses.

Jack and Josh did a great job fixing a toilet and replacing taps on a sink. The work was undertaken efficiently and tidily. I will definitely be using Portland Plumbing again and would recommend them to other people needing a plumber in St. Albans.

I recently had my bathroom renovated by Portland Plumbing and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s completely transformed the space - I still can’t quite believe it’s the same room! Jack was such a pleasure to deal with and made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free. He really took the time to understand what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions along the way, which made a big difference to the end result. Communication was great throughout, so I always felt in the loop and it was such a relief knowing the project was in safe hands from start to finish. Jack’s team clearly take pride in their work - the finish is beautiful, and they treated my home with real care and respect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Portland Plumbing to anyone thinking about a renovation and looking for a reliable, skilled, professional and friendly team.

Jack came the day I contacted him about a leaking pipe. He replaced the (old) pipework with new and checked that there was no further leakage. Tidied up. Excellent, as always.

Jack, at Portland Plumbing, is efficient and work is carried out to a high standard. Quotes arrive promptly, you do not have to wait weeks or chase. Portland Plumbing started and ended the agreed work on time and on budget. The house was left clean and tidy. In my experience, Jack returns calls promptly and is a reliable and pleasant person to work with. His team are the same, and I would recommend Portland Plumbing without hesitation.

Have used this company MANY times and they are reliable, hard working, punctual and extremely helpful. Jack always goes above and beyond and always with a big smile - Would highly recommend :)

We recently had Portland Plumbing Ltd completely redo our downstairs toilet and shower room, plus replacing a few other items around the house, and doing some repair work. Company boss, Jack, is very pleasant to deal with. He is friendly and polite, listened well to what we requested, and also made helpful suggestions. He has a good, skilled, and experienced team around him, who were also pleasant to have in the house doing the work. The work was completed on time and on budget. Would definitely recommend Portland Plumbing Ltd

Jack and his team completed two bathrooms for us. Jack takes complete ownership of his projects which provides confidence and reassurance. He is very responsive, keeps you duly informed and, has a solutions mindset which proved very helpful on a number of occasions. Jack also has a real eye for detail which we really valued; we are extremely pleased with the outcome of our bathrooms. Even after the job was finished we had an issue; Jack was very quick to respond and with the aid of a specialist (which Jack organised and oversaw) the problem was fixed.

Jack was recommended by a friend and has completed several repairs for us. His work is exemplary, his customer service is excellent and he offers great value for the work. We would thoroughly recommend Portland Plumbing

After reporting to Jack that I had smelt gas occasionally in my house, he immediately detected the leak by testing the meter outside. The gas was turned off and he informed me of two courses of action we could take to rectify the problem. The ground floor of my house has underfloor heating and large ceramic tiles. The leak could have been anywhere between the meter and the boiler involving the width of the entire house. An internal investigation would have been a massive upheaval. Jack reassured me that it would be much easier to take the gas from the meter to the boiler on the outside wall of the house by a new pipe. He knew I was worried about the aesthetics of this but spent time convincing me it would not be an eyesore. He came the next day with two other men and completed the job by 5pm. He even organised a painter to paint the copper pipe so it matched the existing pipes. There was hardly any mess and he and his men did an excellent job. I like his professionalism and his work ethic . You rarely find this today. His work is of the highest standard. He is respectful at all times and in what potentially could have been a stressful time for me gave me confidence in his ability to do the job and that the outcome would be fine.
