Plinth Heater and Thermostatic Valve replacement

We have had a lot of problems attempting to get a plinth heater plumbed into the heating circuit to function adequately. Premier Heating had no concerns about installing but it never worked properly. In the end we had to have it removed and as I wasn't prepared to pay for Premier Heating at their exhorbitant charges to play around with the hot water circuit anymore, we installed an electric version that I obtained on line. This works well but its cost a lot of money to get to that position. Premier Heating should have been more willing to absorb some of the costs involved along the way and I feel should have been more reticent about how useful it would be. We also needed a thermostatic valve changed during the last visit that I supplied and took 10 mins to fit when already at the house. It took a lot of hassle to get an exhorbitant standard quote reduced and even then it was overly expensive. My conclusion is that whilst they provide a good service, their pricing structure needs more flexibility for non standard works and they need to look at how expensive they are.

Good work, friendly and helpful plumber but extremely expensive for a small job

I had a leaky pipe in my airing cupboard, Premier came promptly and gave me a quote of £264. Assuming this was a big job (I unfortunately know little about plumbing), I accepted the quote. They came on the day arranged and fixed the leak promptly and professionally. My only gripe is that the plumber took 35 mins to do this, and I fell that this was extortionate for £264. I contacted Premier to express my dismay at the high cost for such a small job but they refused to reduce the price. Possibly their prices are more reasonable for big jobs, but I would not recommend them for small ones.

Disappointing experience with Premier Club membership

Very disappointing experience with Premier Heating Solutions Premier Club service. I had been paying the monthly membership fee for over a year for emergency support, but when my hot water tank started leaking, their emergency video call system repeatedly failed and customer service did not resolve the issue despite several calls. The engineer I spoke to was helpful, but in the end I had to shut off the water and arrange help elsewhere. Sadly this experience has completely changed my opinion of the company, and I have now cancelled my membership.

The emergency video support system referenced in your review is provided through a third-party software platform that we have successfully used for a number of years without issue. Unfortunately, on this occasion there was an unexpected technical glitch with the system at the exact time assistance was required. As soon as we became aware that the system was not working correctly, we contacted you directly first thing the following morning to discuss the issue and provide further support. We are pleased to hear that the engineer you spoke with was helpful. Customer support and reliability are extremely important to us, and while this issue was caused by an unexpected technical failure outside of our control, we completely appreciate the impact it had on you as a customer. My wife and I engaged Premium Heating Solutions Ltd to install a gas boiler and central heating system in our flat in Henley. We were very dissatisfied with the quality of the work. A later inspection identified pipework installed directly over electrical wiring, and the wiring insulation had melted. We lost confidence in the installation and instructed another company to redo the work. A complaint has been submitted to Gas Safe.

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the installation, as we always aim to provide a professional service and leave our customers satisfied with the work carried out. We take any concerns relating to our workmanship seriously and, where issues are raised, we believe it is important to have the opportunity to return to the property, inspect the work ourselves, and resolve matters wherever possible. In many cases, concerns can be addressed and resolved quickly once we have had the chance to investigate them fully. Unfortunately, in this instance, we were not given the opportunity to revisit the property or assess the issues being alleged before another company was instructed to remove and replace the installation. As a result, we were unable to inspect the original work, discuss potential solutions, or carry out any remedial action ourselves.
