The Profelt team were professional, worked well as a team and did an excellent job on a garage, kitchen and front porch. Quality materials were used and the team worked hard to get the job done well. Can highly recommend. They have a very good reputation in Stockport and they deserve it.

Richard came to look at flat roofing of the house we had just purchased. He arrived promptly. Out of 3 different roofers Richard was the only one who actually went on the roof to inspect. Richard took time to explain the condition of the roofing , what work may need doing and took pictures to show me. He provided detailed best and worse case quotes which I found reassuring. The work was undertaken over a couple of weeks due to weather and supply delays. The team worked really hard and Richard kept me informed of what they found. As the cost was the best case scenario I asked them to replace the guttering round the main roof. They were so tidy you wouldn't know they had actually been. Richard emailed photographs of the work they had done along with their invoice. All work was guaranteed for 10 years. We recently had our lead flat roof replaced by Pro Felt and we have utilised their services previously too. They came and reviewed the problem and gave us an in-depth review of the issue including photos. They came up with a plan to not only fix the roof but put in place a fail safe so that the same situation won’t occur in the future. Despite being overrun with work (thanks to the recent storms) they were realistic about when the work could be completed and kept in touch so we didn’t feel forgotten. When the work was undertaken the team were punctual and worked incredibly hard without a break. They even replaced a loose tile on the roof which they just happened to notice! They have done a fantastic job and I would certainly use their services again in future.

Frank and his great team of lads have done a couple of flat roof jobs for me now and for this most recent one, which was to install a Velux window and curb kit in my flat roof, I was on a very tight schedule as other building work depending on the window being installed. Despite the rubbish weather and a back of other works Frank went out of his way to fit me in and meet my deadline. Pro Roofing replaced a flat roof for us. They came to have a look at the job and quoted quickly and with comprehensive detail. They came to do the job within the time scale promised. They came with a large team and completed within one day thus causing us minimum disruption. They were all friendly and efficient. One or two unanticipated issues arose which they sorted at no extra cost. We have always had difficulty finding good quality and particularly reliable roofing contractors and I have no hesitation in recommending Pro Roofing as the best we have ever come across.

Richard came to carry out a site survey & took plenty of photos in order to illustrate the condition of the existing bay roof which was leaking into the bedroom. He submitted a detailed quote & called to explain the works. Richard also informed us of expected lead times due to workloads and weather conditions and kept us informed of the progress. The team arrived on time and carried out the works as planned to a very high standard - photos were taken and emailed on the evening of the works being completed. I cannot praise Frank from Profelt roofing enough! An absolute professional from start to finish, he repaired my Mum's bay window flat roof, put up new guttering & has done an absolute fantastic job, all within the agreed time frame and agreed costs. He kept me informed from the day I contacted him through to the day he repaired it and even sent me photos after he had completed the job. Frank and his co-worker on the day were brilliant and even though the weather wasn't the best and the job was more complicated than originally thought they both worked all the way through without stopping and didn't even have a brew! Richard and his team carried out a chimney removal on an elderly relatives house, and due to being a few hundred miles away I was unable to be there in person to arrange anything. Yet despite this its probably the smoothest and easiest job I've ever had done off a tradesman including those at my home address! Right from the start Richard put my mind at ease and went through everything with me by phone, then as requested liaised with a neighbour to gain access to the property and arrived on time exactly as agreed for both the initial quote and to carry out the work which was done to a fantastic level causing no inconvenience to the neighbour. In addition to the chimney removal and the roofing work both front and rear gutters were also cleared (which were badly blocked at the rear especially). After finishing everything was tidied away - so tidy it was if no one had ever been there. Upon completion I was given a phone call detailing everything that had been done and assured if there was any problems no matter how small he would return and resolve them. I was emailed pictures upon completion of various stages of the job throughout the day with then end result looking amazing. All this was done no disruption to my relative, (which was always a big concern for me). The team arrived at the agreed time 07.45 and immediately started work. Five men and each on had responsibility, it was a pleasure to watch, they had already told me they would finish at 10.30 and almost to the minute the job was finished, all debris cleared and everything pack up on the vans, it was brilliant to watch. The guys (Richard, Finn and Dean) are just amazing, they've done our porch roof and more, not long ago my next door neighbour has well as I had our gutters changed, once more two happy customers. They're very tidy and clean. As I said, those guys are just brilliant, I wish I had found them in the first place instead of going through it twice beforehand and be mega disappointed with still a leaky roof. Pro Felt were a pleasure to deal with from the first enquiry for their services all the way through to completing the job. Richard was really clear in what the process would be, in terms of investigation and then fixing of the leak in our roof. He was up front about expected costs and kept to the budget , even allowing for some reduction due to unused materials. He kept us informed of progress at every stage, including informing our neighbours of any disruption with scaffolding, etc. and the team were especially careful in cleaning the site after the job was completed. I noticed a leak in my extension, that has a flat roof. I contacted several companies & Profelt were the business I chose. They took lots of photos & thoroughly explained what the issue was. I felt they would do a good job. Whilst they were doing the work they discovered another issue (they definitely couldn’t have spotted it previously). The team from profelt roofing were brilliant. They have in two days, totally stripped a complicated leaking flat roof, reframed and retreated and sealed. The work was really neat, they also fitted a skylight. Richard was a great communicator sharing photos of the work done and explaining and consulting where needed. They were really timely and turned up exactly when they said. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. I also used them for a roofing survey prior to purchasing a house. Like all the other reviews here I would not hesitate to recommend these guys. They explained in detail what the job would involve, quoting a price for a bay window flat roof. They arrived 8am sharp. I was even invited up the ladder to check out before and after the job. They filled me with confidence and so I asked if they could check the lead flashing around the chimney and again it was fully explained what was wrong and they came back the next day to complete this extra task. They also tidied away any debris afterwards. All the team was very pleasant. Photos of before, during and after the jobs helped. So yes fully recommend.

I would like to recommend Profelt as a reliable efficient and professional organisation to deal with. During a very rainy period early this year my sisters roof manifested a severe leak. She has dementia and was very distraught by the situation. I had contacted other contractors but all said how busy they were in view of the climate. However when I explained the situation to Frank from Profelt he arranged for a member if his team to visit that same day!! What great service! In the end we decided to have the roof replaced and of course we choose Profelt to do the job! They have been fantastic throughout the whole process and we couldn't be happier with their service. Rick and his team were very professional. They had prepared a detailed quote, however, on the day they identified that some of the roof was still sound and that to remove the fibre glass would cause more damage than necessary. So they removed and replaced the damaged area and boarded this and then boarded on top of this before laying the felt. As this worked out marginally less work they reduced the cost, which was a pleasant surprise. They completed the work within the day and it looks really smart now. Who knew that felt roofs had improved so much. I'd definitely recommend ProFelt to anyone looking to repair or put in a new flat roof.

Richard and his 2 colleagues did a great job repairing my elderly mothers bay window that leaked during a storm and replaced roof tiles and fascia boards also storm damaged. They attended sooner than planned which was very much appreciated. They were polite, friendly and very professional, they explained what needed to be done and the price quoted didn’t alter. A great job done and we totally recommend this company.

I lost a significant section of my roof covering in one of the storms in late January twenty twenty two. I got in touch with Pro Felt to see if they could assist and despite a busy schedule they managed to get out to me and repair all damage and fully reinstate the roof covering within thirty six hours. Amazing service and saved me further damage from the rains that followed if the roof had not been repaired so quickly.

Quick response to flat roof leaking into the lounge. Pro Felt Roofing sealed where the water was potentially getting in and advised that the roof is old and really needs replacing, which I was aware of. Richard was great at setting out options and sent me a very reasonable quotation. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Richard called me following an online enquiry via his website. From the start he’s been brilliant at communicating which makes a refreshing change from many other tradesmen. Lots of pictures of the work during and once completed. It looks great from what I can see (we had a flat roof replaced and a bay window roof replaced). All workers were pleasant, polite and friendly. The team worked quickly and were very neat and tidy. Richard identified some additional problem areas which needed to be addressed they and repaired those too. Appears to be a fair price. Really pleased with the work and would recommend to friends.

I can’t fault this company at all, Richard kept his promise from the first time I contacted him, he rang me when he said he would (which is very refreshing) he gave me a number of options & quotes with plenty of advice. He told me he wouldn’t know the full extent of the job on our flat roof until they’d taken the old felt off the roof! It might have needed new boards which of course would have been much more expensive, it was good news we didn’t need the board’s changing, they came at the time & date they said they would & worked solidly didn’t even stop for a brew, very happy with the quality of work, & loads of photos Richard sent us with the job every step of the way.

Wow, what a breath of fresh air these guys are! Right from my first telephone conversation with Richard, I was impressed. A few days later came another call to say they were in the area to come and have a look at my leaking gutter. I’m not used to tradesmen calling me back so that was a big tick, they then arrived at my home in less than ten minutes and were able to clear the gutter, reseal the end piece and reposition the bracket before heading onto other jobs. Richard, Dean and Finn left my garden as they had found it so I cannot fault them. I will definitely keep hold of their details for any future roofing requirements I may have and would recommend them.

When asked to look at a roof repair for a 95-year-old lady neighbour of mine Frank turned up shortly, exactly on time to look at the job. Of 5 roofers contacted he was the only one to respond at the first call. His quote was very reasonable and he offered excellent advice, so we offered him the job a few days later. He and his team arrived the same afternoon. After clearing the roof of detritus and water I found one or two more areas that needed attention. When pointed out to him he was happy to do these at no extra cost! He asked me to watch whilst they did the work to be certain that I was happy with the way it was done. The procedure was completed perfectly and in only one hour. I know this was for an elderly client who he was treating specially, but I got the impression that this was the way all his clients were treated. I cannot recommend this company highly enough, 5 stars are surpassed.

I can't speak highly enough of them really - I had seen the van before at a couple of other houses on the road which is always a good sign too. Richard came to look at a leak that was coming in through the front bay window & showed me some pictures of the mess it was in from work the previous owners had had done. Came back a week later to fit a new lead roof and some replacement guttering and was all done in half a day for a really reasonable price. It was a busy time of year for them but they were able to get to us really quicker - much quicker than I've been in writing this review! We'll definitely use them again if we need anything.

Can not fault these guys at all in any way shape of form. They replied promptly to my initial enquiry, came to view the job and quoted at the same time. Due to winter workload and the bad weather it wasn't possible to guarantee a start date but because we had bad leaks we were prioritised to nearer the front of the queue. The work was completed with no fuss, no mess and to my complete satisfaction. The guys kept me informed of what the process was and what options I had in terms of materials, guttering and facias. Everyone knows that getting tradespeople to reply is hard enough never mind come and quote but Profelt restored the faith. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Arrived 7.30am and 4 man team started working at 7.45. Completely stripped the double garage roof by 11am. Sealed and prepared roof for new felt which was hot bitumen layered. Finished by 5.30 complete with new fascia and guttering. Complete professional job. Kept us informed all through the day. Lots of picture evidence. Left site clean and tidy. I contacted Pro Felt Roofing on the strength of a recommendation from a happy customer. The boss, Frank Walsh, visited my job the same day I contacted him and supplied me with an estimate for repairing my flat roof within a few days, which was fairly itemised and priced. We fixed an approximate date, subject to weather, and Frank confirmed the start date with me the week before. Four of his workers arrived early ready to work through on the repair: removing & disposing of all drip edges & upstands, cleaning & drying the roof & priming with bitumen and building up with bitumen to improve waterfalls on my roof. Once this had set, they laid two layers of quality felting, bonded with more bitumen. Then they renewed all upstands under the skylight and to the curved wall and all drip edges, finishing with a layer of stone. All waste was removed. The team was polite and hard working, they worked quietly and steadily and Frank showed me their progress at every stage, showing me before/after photos and explaining all the processes involved. Luckily the rain held off! The work is also guaranteed for 10 years, which greatly reassures me. A company to recommend and trust with all flat roof works.

The flat roof of my double garage needed to be completely rebuilt due to water ingress and, after having been visited by several contractors and having been particularly impressed by Profelt's suggestions as to an appropriate solution to the problem, I selected them for the job. Because of the size of the task, I anticipated that it would be a lengthy undertaking and, with this in mind, and knowing something of the requirements of the average British tradesman, I laid in adequate supplies of milk and sugar! The Profelt Roofing team arrived a few minutes before they were expected and set to work immediately. The existing roofing material was swiftly removed, the tongue and groove sterling board fixed in its place and the weatherproofing process commenced. I watched the work, not intending to find fault, as it was obvious at once that I was in the hands of experts, but because it was a delight to see such skill and expertise. The key to the success of this enterprise was clearly the fact that the four men involved worked as a team and had obviously gained a great deal of experience of the work in which they were involved. The stock of milk and sugar was surplus to requirements, as they only had one mug of coffee each throughout the day and took only thirty minutes as a lunch break. To my great surprise the whole roof was completely and thoroughly rebuilt in a single day to the highest standard. I wholeheartedly and unhesitatingly recommend Profelt.

I was impressed from the start with Pro-Felt. From assessing my flat roof for repair or replacement to the work carried out in a professional, fast and efficient way by Frank and the team. Everything was explained in detail. Richard phoned to go through the quotation before emailing me. They had their work cut out, having to go back to the joists before they could replace the flat roof, as layer upon layer of boards and felt had been fit by a previous roofer. Frank kept us up to date at every stage of the work being carried out during the re-roof. The old materials were taken away, everything swept up and the yard washed.

I live in a 3 story town house with a felted flat roof which was 35 years old. Having needed repairs a few times over the last 15 years around the perimeter I decided to re-felt the entire roof. Also new soffits, etc... and a replacement roof light. I approached 3 companies, but chose Pro Felt because they had considerable experience working on other properties on my small estate. I was not disappointed! From initial consultation to completion of the works they proved to be very professional, knowledgeable, reliable, polite and friendly: workmanship was superb. They kept me up-to-date with photographs and progress. Scaffolding was required to be able to do the work, which they organised. Some of the timbers to the side and rear of the roof also had to be replaced, and also the porch roofing felt. Highly recommended. And a 10 year guarantee, although one of the properties that they re-roofed near to me is, I believe, nearly 30 years old!

Frank and the team carried out a full replacement of the flat roof over bedrooms Inc new boarding and felt, new fascias and gutters were also fitted. The roof was in such a bad state of repair. Very reasonable price and highly professional. Came back the same day with a quote and arrived early on the day of the job and him and the guys never stopped working. Great communication with the team. Work was to re-felt a garden shed roof that was leaking. The team removed all the old felt, and even cut off and replaced wood that had started to rot because of the leaks. The felt they use is top quality and very thick. Reasonable price and they tidied up really well too! My shed is like new again! I would recommend and re-use Pro-Felt Roofing .

Great job by Frank and his team - initially got a quote for a leaking flat roof but also found an existing lead valley gutter needed replacing. Frank gave pragmatic advice and managed to do the additional work a couple of days later. Good communication and photos as the work progressed. Minor issue after the work was completed but Pro Felt returned and rectified it, no problem. Prompt, polite, hardworking, used quality materials and tidied up well after themselves - would happily use Pro Felt in the future.

Frank and his team did an excellent job of replacing my flat dormer roof and kept me updated with photos of all the work done. After realising that the existing roof was made from asphalt, Frank gave me his honest opinion of what would be the best course of action. My roof (almost 50 years old) sprang a leak - acting on a recommendation of a neighbour called Pro Felt - they came and made a repair but a detailed survey indicated that the roof needed replacing - the work included new facias, soffits and gutters - the work started on a Monday morning and was completed on the Friday lunchtime - the well mannered lads worked hard rain and shine rarely stopping for tea - they finished off by tidying the garden and cleaning my windows nobody wishes for this work to become necessary but if you need it doing please call Pro Felt - they will do a great job for a fair price and will not let you down I would be happy to act as a 'show roof' for this company.

They also replaced an old cast iron gutter & down pipe which had become damaged in a storm.
