Stuart was called out to assist with a blocked drain and to install a new bathroom sink / Taps.Great guy, very tidy work and takes the time to explain what he is doing. Highly recommended.

Work completed - leak under shower, toilet flush and drainpipe fix. Stuart was absolutely excellent. Punctual, courteous, tidy, extremely helpful and very good at keeping me up-to-date between work (ie when he had to go and buy parts etc). He fixed all jobs with the minimum of fuss and his prices were excellent. I find it incredibly hard to find a good tradesman these days but Stuart is a totally trustworthy plumber and a breath of fresh air. I will definitely be recommending him to others and I will be keeping his number for any future plumbing problems I have.

Excellent experience. I had broken and leaking pipework in the bathroom with water pouring out which needed an urgent fix. I called Stuart who immediately calmed me down and gave me advice over the phone and said he would come over immediately. He even sent me a google map screenshot of his route which showed how long it would take him to get to my apartment. He came within 20 minutes and solved the problem with great care and efficiency! He explained everything in detail and charged an extremely reasonable price for the job. I am extremely grateful for his quick response, expertise and the outstanding quality of his work. He is now the only plumber I trust and use.

Stuart helped with a number of things. First was fixing an under the kitchen sink leak which also involved helping us select a new tap and installing it. Problem fixed and 6 months later still no issues. Secondly, we have a three story house with radiators and in certain top floor rooms, the heat was not working. It was a fairly elusive problem and not clear what the solution was. Stuart was able to diagnose the cause of the uneven heat flow and fix everything such that all of our rooms receive the desired heating levels, even on the top floor, despite the boiler being on the ground floor. Stuart is a former Royal Engineer and beyond being a consummate professional who really knows his trade, he is a nice person/very courteous and a pleasure to work with. He is reliable, something the trades are often maligned for not being, and efficient, skills which undoubtedly are trademarks of his military background, I would not hesitate to recommend him and already have to several neighbours.

He managed a major leak at my commercial property

There was a water leak in my house due to the poor quality 'new built' house. I have managed to find Stuart from Purdys and he was very accommodating and attended on the same day and fixed the issue. Very happy with his work and he has also been very helpful in explaining what he was working on.

Stuart has completed several jobs for us including boiler service and toilet and sink repairs. He did an effective, thorough and fairly priced job. He manages to be both highly professional and very personable. He is a friendly and honest guy who gets the job done efficiently to a high standard. We think he's amazing!

I first met Stuart when he did an emergency flood repair for my flat last year, after the mains inlet burst. He did a timely fix and got our water restored same day whilst also calming me down from the shock. Since then he has conducted some work getting the full kitchen plumbing safely updated and provided quotes for future bathroom works and finalising the plumbing updates. Most recently he came out for an emergency boiler repair after it stopped working out the blue. He came round first thing the following morning and had everything back to life in an hour and again humouring me being nosey about the entire process. He's an all round amazing guy, highly professional and very respectful of the household to boot. Couldn't possibly recommend him enough, he's that good.
