Rupert replied to my enquiry quickly, providing am affordable quote. David fitted three new light fittings in our porch and living room, with care and precision. He popped out to get suitable light bulbs as well, which was appreciated! Both Rupert and David were friendly, helpful and provided great customer service. We will definitely use them again in the future.

I was doing a major refurbishment of a property in disrepair and David carried out a full rewire at my property. He did an excellent job and I was very happy with his work. The quality of the work was excellent. I also found his prices reasonable and he is very honest. David is a trustworthy tradesman and he is not the kind of person who will try to overcharge or recommend additional work which isn't necessary. He spread the rewire out over time so my builders could carry out other work in between and he finished the rewire in good time and by the time I needed it done. If would certainly hire David again.

We couldn’t be more positive about our experience with David and would strongly recommend him. David undertook a full house rewire for us and from start to finish the work and service has been excellent. We got several quotes for the work, and David’s was easily the clearest with the cost broken down into every switch and socket. David was meticulous in planning a large and complicated project and the whole process was very smooth. He always had good ideas and made numerous suggestions for improving the design. David has an extremely calm manner and was not phased by any of the various challenges he faced on a difficult project. He was always flexible and helpful and very responsive to our many queries. Perhaps most importantly, David is a really decent guy, and it was a pleasure to have him around. We will definitely use him for any future electrical work.

I echo the positive reviews that have been left before. Some tradespeople leave you in the dark about whether they will make the appointment - this was not my experience with David. He was on time, very polite, friendly and also very professional doing a neat job. He was very communicative before and after the appointment. Highly recommended.

Rupert installed a new power switch to the bathroom shower. The switch had become stuck and not allowing power to the shower. We had quite an enjoyable chat while he carried out the work.

What a great experience. David came to see my husband and me to quote for several bits of electrical work. He was right on time, very polite, friendly and obviously knowledgeable about his trade, guiding us through options and outcomes. I am very nervous about having any trades in the house, but David is so calm and so easy to deal with. I had a couple of ‘false starts’ when I felt I couldn’t go ahead with the work but again, David was wonderful and assured me that the work could go ahead when I was ready. The job started yesterday and David worked so hard all day, not leaving until the exterior lights he was fitting were weatherproof and safe. The lights we had chosen needed small channels making in the mortar joints and although a lot of extra work, David just got on with the job without complaint and with a ‘can do’ attitude. The works were finished this morning and I cannot thank David enough. We have agreed for additional works to be carried out when I am ready. So happy we chose Rand D Goulbourne and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

I called R and D Goulbourne having seen their reviews on Which Trusted Traders in a panic on Monday evening as we had several unexplained, major electrical failures. Rupert agreed to come round first thing the next morning in spite of the fact that he was due to go on holiday to Bournemouth first thing that morning. He arrived as promised and was able to diagnose the problem quickly after some careful investigation and testing. He then fixed the problem which was a massive relief. Rupert is extremely pleasant and friendly, patient, knowledgeable and experienced and I had the utmost confidence in him. So much so that he is going to undertake a complete review of our electrics and change the fuse board at my request- not his suggestion. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this company (his son David also works with him) and I am so pleased to have found them.

Rupert and David came to change/move and remove a number of light fittings, switches and sockets. They also ran data cables from the ground floor to the upper floors, and connected a video doorbell. We were really happy with the standard of work, and both Rupert and David were easy to talk to, and gave us good suggestions on what to do, as we started off pretty clueless. They even worked around our decorating, and came back to fit some sockets once other trades had been in, with no issues and no extra charge. All round great experience and hoping to work with them again in future!

Rupert fitted a new shower for me. He turned up on time, worked efficiently, was courteous and polite and the job was as quoted. I would definitely use this company again.

The potential scope of work could have been significant, but he found a quick and efficient solution by leveraging an existing ventilation system instead. He took less than an hour to fix our ventilation issues which meant the cost was also extremely reasonable. Rupert is very experienced professional and also very pleasant. Rupert has carried out a range of electrical work on my property since 2011, from replacing a doorbell to wiring new lighting. I booked in Rupert to check out why my bathroom light wasn't working. I emailed on the Friday evening and he was able to come round on Saturday morning, which was really helpful. The fix was super simple (and a bit embarrassing on my part), so Rupert was really fair and knocked off some money from the call out charge. He's also very friendly!

Rupert did what he promised, when he promised, quickly, efficiently and at a great price. He turned up at the right time to spec the job. He gave me a quote in double quick time. He made sure I didn't have to wait long to have the job done. He turned up on time and did the work. And the final price was less than the quote! What more can you ask for. That he is helpful, courteous and trustworthy. Well you get that as part of the service. If you can find a tradesman as good as Rupert you should give them a 6 star rating! We needed 2 extractor fans installed in our kitchen and bathroom. David and Rupert worked hard to do this tricky job which involved drilling large holes into outside walls. Fans look and work well, work was completed quickly and efficiently, for a reasonable price and they tidied up at the end of the day. Would recommend.

I asked for the exterior lighting to be installed and the guys worked tirelessly to fix them up, as well as putting me in touch with a plumber for my shower unit. Very reasonable quote and polite and good humored throughout.

I needed a full house re-wire and Rupert was recommended to me. From the moment he came around (at the time he said he would), i was extremely hopeful. Rupert and his team didn't disappoint. We have used R&D Goulbourne on a few different house projects since 2012 and can highly recommend them. They are reliable and arrive when they say they will, offer great advice and tips re the electrical work being done in your house and even tidy up after themselves! It is always an obvious choice for us to use them and have also recommended them to others. Needless to say, I decided that I would find someone instead who was more professional in their approach. What a wonderful firm. My boiler broke down- the coldest day of the year- on a Saturday late. Rupert was the only electrician who agreed to help out of 5 people I phoned who were all advertising '24 hours service' on the Which Trusted Traders site . I explained to all of them that we have a small baby in the house and I was so worried. He fixed the boiler. Again, he came back another time and fixed my oven in time for a party when i was cooking. So efficient and so reasonable and extremely skilful and charming service. Cannot recommend this firm highly enough.

These guys are professionals at what they do. Personable, prompt and friendly; they rescued us from a faulty electrical situation and a freezing house just after Christmas.
