RJ Insulation sent an excellent team who were very hardworking, diligent, polite and respectful. Indeed unusually for a building project it was a pleasure! The outcome is exactly what I wanted but was unsure could be delivered to this highest of standards. The skill standard, quality of work and the use of sustainable materials, though costly, is value for money. I have an amazing beautifully finished space - well decorated and with a really good Novocore flooring that is both beautiful and practical. RJ were happy to use my paint of choice, Little Greene and came up with a brilliant solution to my request for simple easy access fitting a fully remote controlled Loftomatic ladder system. It is awesome and will mean I will be able to access the space easily making it really usable. I am beyond delighted - it was worth the time and money. RJ put a lot of effort into the planning and ensuring they understood my needs so they could deliver exactly what I wanted. They excelled and have gone above and beyond! I will definitely be using them for any future insulation work and highly recommend them to make your loft a usable space.

Very happy with the work done, and the customer service received. The two chaps that came to do the insulation were very pleasant indeed, they were clear on what they were doing, and kept everything clean and tidy. Really pleased that I took the January discount offer. The house feels much warmer already, and the boards are now much better secured. The loft insulation in our 1900’s house was poor with the existing loose boarding laid directly on top of it. In researching upgrading the insulation I came across SuperFOIL insulation and contacted R J Insulation to discuss. Alfie talked me through the product, the quotation and installation process and after providing a few details shortly came back to me with a quote with a small range. By installing SuperFOIL it would mean that the existing insulation didn’t need replacing nor the boarding. After agreeing to go to the next stage, a member of the team visited within a few days to conduct a risk assessment and to firm up the quote. Alfie then confirmed the price, which was within the initial range suggested. After agreeing to proceed, a date was fixed for the installation within a couple of weeks. The installation team were punctual, polite and friendly, protecting our carpets with sheets and vacuuming when they had finished. They also removed a couple of redundant water tanks from our loft. The work was completed on time and to budget. We noticed some immediate improvements after the installation - drafts in the loft were eliminated, our first floor rooms felt warmer, noises from outside were reduced and the loft looks great! Hopefully we will also see reduced gas bills in due course. I thoroughly recommend the product and R J Insulation.

R J Insulation carried out phase 1 of my 3 phase loft insulation project back in 05/10/2023. The review I wrote then will be similar as this one. The professionalism is exemplary, from making contact through all processes such as quoting, customer acceptance, agreeing timescales and payment. I sought out the company because I was unable to find a local firm willing to undertake the type of work. I turned to Which? and immediately felt comfortable in knowing they were a Which? Trusted Trader. Phase 2 of my project was all about lifting the boarding, disposal of the existing felt insulation, laying down 'SuperSoft' insulation and reinstalling the boarding. This was undertaken by the original 3 chaps who had previously installed Phase 1. They were punctual, professional, very hard working and were excellent at leaving the property clean. There were no issues whatsoever in all of the processes. I am very happy to recommed the company, and will be returning for the final phase of the project.

We are very pleased with our attic insulation and notice how much warmer our home feels now. The air is also more breathable and better too - it is clean insulation and none of that horrid glass fibre itchy stuff that was in there before. It ticks the green credentials too (we had superfoil and supasoft put in). Yes it isn't a cheap option for upfront costs but if you can afford the initial outlay it's guaranteed for life. You need to look at the whole picture, factoring in the long term savings (never having to replace it) with cheaper bills and efficient heating (and cooling). We would definitely recommend RJ Insulation, they were very professional, prompt in returning calls, on time for visits and carried out the work efficiently. The guys working on site couldn't have been more helpful and thorough. If you can, go for it! And if you are able to choose the sheep wool option you'll be supporting our British farmers - another good tick!

We used this company to install new insulation in the cellar ceiling of our 1910 built home. They also replaced our old insulation in the attic - both with sheepswool. The whole process was excellent from first contact to installation. No pressure just prompt responses to all questions. The site assessor and installers were great. from start to finish the service was excellent. i had my loft insulated with sheeps wool which was recommended for the age of my home. john delt with my order and was extremly imformative and helpful. fitting was arranged quickly and the two fitters were brilliant. left clean and even hoovered my stairs for me. would highly recommend this company

I found all the people I had contact with in the company extremely helpful and competent. Originally the job was going to be done in one go but I needed to get the loft sprayed for woodworm so they came one day to remove the old boarding and insulation and came back a week later to install the new insulation and boarding. I had a slight issue with the loft ladder that they were going to provide so they came back the next day to install a more suitable ladder. As the company is based in Ipswich and I am in Cumbria I was very impressed by how adaptable they were to my requests as it meant more travelling for the installers. The finished job is perfect and the cottage is lovely and cosy now.

From first contact to finishing the job this company were the epitome of professionalism. They were prompt to answer my query and the ensuing visit to assess the job took place within days. I have a 5 bedroom house built 25 years ago and had the minimum of fibre glass loft insulation which had deteriorated. I was given a comprehensive look at alternative solutions and in the end plumped for Supersoft insulation because of its green credentials and insulating properties. I have no hesitation in recommending RJ Insulation. I had old fibre-glass insulation replaced by Supasoft insulation. This was a professional job from start to finish. The installation itself was carried out by a team of three who arrived on time, were very hard-working and polite and kept everything clean. I'm very pleased with the end result. My loft was cleaned out after the old (very horrible) fibre-glass was removed and then the new insulation and venting put down. It now feels a clean and habitable environment! It is early days in terms of assessing the impact, but it does feel as though the house temperature is more evenly distributed as well as being warmer. The sales and administration service was efficient and personable and communications were clear and speedy. The job was assessed via a pre-installation visit and the work was completed to the agreed schedule and budget.

Max called me called me an hour and a half before his arrival to say when he would be there. He cut a very neat access to the loft space, removed some old insulation and laid Supasoft insulation. Everything was done very neatly and on completion the place was tidied up as though no one had been there. Max was very diligent and hard working. I would have no hesitation in using R J Insulation again and in recommending them to others.

I waited a year to post a review as I wanted to see how the supersoft insulation performed. We used less energy last winter. Was this the insulation or was it because energy prices were so high that I used the central heating less? This summer we have not had the high temperatures of 35C plus so again although the upstairs was much cooler at night than last year was this the insulation or was it just lower temperatures? So I think the house is a more even temperature and am pleased that we had it done. The team were punctual, polite and cleared everything away.

We have used RJ Insulation twice now, firstly on a 1950's semi, now on a 1930's semi. Both installations involved removing old fibreglass insulation, adding Supasoft, raised boarding of the floor, and lining the roof interior with foil. The first job also sealed an old square loft hatch, replacing it with a rectangular hatch and ladder combo. RJ Insulation have turned our unpleasant, dirty, and awkward-to-use lofts into clean, easily accessible storage areas. It's made such a difference to how effectively we can use the space: it feels like we have gained a lot. The team of installers have been very efficient and friendly throughout both 2-day jobs. They arrived promptly and left things clean and tidy at the end of each day. They may not be the cheapest you can find but, in our experience, the service offered by RJ Insulation is professional, thorough and ultimately worth paying for. The cost was clearly outlined upfront and they were able to accommodate us changing the installation date. We would recommend them to friends and family.

We had our loft insulated with sheep's wool. We had enquired late last year but didn't get around to scheduling the work until this week. Someone came out to quote on Thursday and we agreed to a couple of weeks time, but someone had to postpone a similar installation and we were amazed to be able to swap dates and complete yesterday! Everyone we came into contact with was pleasant, thorough and knowledgeable. The work was completed with a minimum of disruption and in a straightforward fashion. The tidy-up afterwards was great! The process is not cheap, but worth the money for the peace of mind of a job well done. Would thoroughly recommend this company.

Our loft spaces have been transformed from draughty and dusty to warm, clean and eminently useful. A thoroughly efficient and professional operation from start to finish. A dedicated trio of industrious, polite and personable installers completed the work on time and to a very high standard. A thorough clean-up was carried out at the end of each day. A large loft in our Listed house had a layer of Fibreglass and centuries of dust. The inspection was thorough and the work was completed in two days the following week. The Team who cleared the old fibreglass and installed the new Sheepswool were very helpful and efficient, leaving everything spotlessly clean. Very impressed but you have to pay for quality.

This was a very good experience for us. In the initial phone call, the firm were very honest about the price compared to glass fibre insulation. The survey was very thorough. In the day of installation, there were three people. They arrived on time, worked non-stop and were very tidy. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

The property had a layer of old fibreglass insulation installed in the loft, which was not very efficient and unpleasant to handle so I decided to have it all removed and replaced with a more efficient alternative. Based on the advice of the surveyor, I decided to have a 250mm layer of Supersoft insulation installed and to have the small loft hatch replaced with a larger one with a new ladder. The quote from RJ Insulation was not the cheapest by any means but the company appeared to be knowledgeable and professional so I agreed a date for the work to take place. On the appointed day, three lads arrived and got stuck in. They cheerfully emptied the loft, cleared it of nasty fibreglass, hoovered it and increased the opening for the larger hatch to be fitted. At regular intervals, I was asked to check that I was happy with the quality of their work and at the end, they returned all the contents of the loft and hoovered the floor. Throughout the process, the team were hard working, cheerful and courteous and I could not have been happier with the end result. Thanks lads.

I had loft insulation installed last week and was really impressed with the service. I had to move the date at short notice and they accommodated that. The guys who did the work were polite, professional and engaged. Very pleased.

I had this company insulate my loft which is in a listed building. First of all they surveyed it and gave impartial advice on the best insulation to use and then when they did the job it’s been done to a high standard. The lads that did the job were professional and neat despite the work being awkward and arduous, they made sure everything was tidied up after they had finished, in fact my house was tidier after they left than before they got here.

Cannot praise this company enough. When I read some of the reviews before contacting them I thought "they cant all be true" but they were!!! I had superfoil fitted in my chalet bungalow and am hoping it will improve the temperature upstairs in both winter and summer As soon as the team arrived Max found that there were extra areas which needed to be done. It was all carefully explained to me and involved additional cost and materials but there was no pressure to pay extra. The work involved having to crawl along difficult areas but it was all done very professionally. All of the team were polite and helpful and despite the extra work involved was still completed in two days

RJ Insulation cleared out my loft of all its contents, hoovered it clean, and installed new wool insulation, eaves ventilators and boarding. The team also helped return my items for storage to the loft afterwards. The company was pleasant and straightforward to deal with throughout the process, thorough and trustworthy. The work was carried out tidily, and the house left clean and neat. The work took less time than I had previously been advised. There was slight damage to a bedroom ceiling, and an appropriate resolution swiftly agreed. Now I need to find out if it will keep the house warmer - I hope so.

We employed this company to re-do and modernise the loft insulation in our property. There were two areas, one involved topping up the traditional fibre insulation in a modern single storey extension, the other a classic inter-war style loft with inadequate old-fashioned insulation, hot and cold water tanks and about fifty years worth of items we should have taken to the tip, but didn’t. This loft required emptying, vacuuming and generally sorting out, before installation of new eaves ventilation and downlighter covers, followed by a lovely snug lamb’s wool blanket which was ingeniously extended around the plumbing. We also had some raised loft boarding installed to facilitate access to the water tanks in future. The job was done efficiently, neatly and cleanly by the pleasant team and we are very pleased with the result I have no hesitation recommending this company for high-quality loft insulation work

From the initial call to the completion of the job, it's been a pleasure to deal with RJ Insulation. After the survey, we were given a quote almost straight away but no hard sell or pressure attached to it. The date for installation was agreed. Two lovely guys turned up to fit the foil in the loft, both were very polite and courteous at all times. Dust sheets were put down and they hoovered up at the end of the job both days. Having a difficult loft to insulate due to there being very little head room and beams making access to some areas very difficult ,I was very please to find a company willing to do the work. The workers arrived on time and carried out the work efficiently. They removed the old decayed insulation, vacuumed the loft before installing the new insulation and eave ventilation. The whole process was carried out carefully,cleanly, and to a high standard. The workers were very polite. Very please with the entire process.

Such an easy company to deal with. From start to finish the communication was excellent. No lengthy waiting, a thorough survey, such that suitable materials and approach was taken. The two lads turned up on time and from start to finish were very polite and helpful. Dust sheets were put down where needed and the ceiling was inspected for cracks prior to work beginning. I was kept informed and a viewing was offered as work went on. The final inspection was done and the loft looks so tidy and I'm very happy and would certainly recommend this company.

We recently moved to a new property with a walk in loft plus a shallow loft at the apex of the house. The walk in loft was very draughty especially in windy weather. We could also hear every word spoken in the loft clearly in the kitchen/rooms below. We thought the SuperFOIL product would be perfect, as we’d read that many mortgage companies will not give a mortgage on foam products fitted between the joists making the property hard to sell. We contacted R J Insulations and were impressed with their Surveyors (initial quote and follow up prior to installation) and with the communication from the sales office. The installation team (3 guys) were brilliant. So organised. They prepared our house with sheeting to cover walkways, were informative about every stage of the installation and were so polite. The installation took 2 days. We had SuperFOIL on the joists in the walk in loft and SupaSoft between the rafters and also SupaSoft between the rafters in the apex loft space. The first thing we noticed was the reduction in noise - the SupaSoft really has made a difference to the downstairs rooms below the walk in loft and to the bedrooms below the apex. Our walk in loft does look like something space age, but the SuperFOIL has cut out the draught. As we’ve not been in the house long, we won’t be able to compare heating bills pre and post installation, but the difference installation has made in the few days we’ve had it is noticeable.

This company has been fantastic through the entire loft insulation process. Always on time, pleasant and courteous - from their initial telephone calls and surveyor visit to the installation team leaving the house. Firstly, the team cleared twenty seven years of junk from two loft spaces. Old fibre glass insulation was removed and lambs wool insulation laid in the smaller loft space, plus Superfoil in the larger loft space. And they cleaned up everything before they left on each of the two days in the house. Perfect.

From the initial contact with the company to the complete job done went very smoothly. The quotation, survey and the installation of the insulation was done by very courteous , friendly people. They arrived on time on the day the storm Eunice was causing travelling very difficult and we were not expecting them to show up at all. They removed and bagged all the old insulation and installed the new insulation. I am also very pleased with loft boarding but there was some misunderstanding about the fitting and I was not happy about it. I contacted the office about this and I was assured that the fitters will return and finish the job to my satisfaction. From the initial enquiry through to the end of the job was just fantastic. I had an immediate quote from the surveyor and everything was explained thoroughly. The job was to empty a rubbish tip that was the loft, including mattresses and water tanks and forty year old cladding, hoover the whole area, install the Super foil to the rafters, and lay new earth wool and new boarding, a two day job. I was quickly given a date and had several calls from the office to ensure me that everything was going to plan. I did not have to chase up at all which was great. A skip was delivered, and the team arrived with smiles and courtesy. They were all super - so polite and helpful and kept me informed all along the way. At the end of day one I came home to find an immaculate house with no trace of the mess that had been moved to the skip - a totally clean hallway, as if they hadn't been there. Day two and the same cheerful, professional and organised crew finished the job and again, cleaned up amazingly. From start to finish I was always kept up to date, it was completely stress free for me. This is once in a lifetime customer service and professionalism. The quality of the work is stunning. It's incredible. I cannot say enough about this company, they really do deserve all the recognition and appreciation they get. Of all the work I have had done in many years in many countries, this was the best experience. Super job, super team, super quality. I wish them all the best.

The work was done very well and the guys fitting the insulation were very professional and courteous. All the way through the process, from quote through delivering the materials to fitting the insulation we were kept well informed. The best thing is the house now gets warmer quicker and stays warmer longer.
