I am so happy to have chosen R J Insulation to carry out our loft work. Alfie was amazing at communicating with me, explaining everything, ensuring I was understanding the product and process. Excellent customer service. The job was completed in 2 days as planned and the team was very pleasant, knowledgeable, polite and left everything clean and tidy. All in all a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

From the first contact with RJ Insulation we have felt in safe and knowledgeable hands. The preliminary consultative stage by phone was very helpful for us to understand our options, and subsequent follow ups addressed our questions clearly. The installation of our wool insulation product has just been completed by Max and colleagues. They were efficient, careful and thorough in fulfilling the brief, and dealt successfully with some very tricky corners of our loft space. Overall we are very pleased with the product and service we have received from RJ Insulation, and have high hopes of being a lot warmer next winter.

Contacted RJ Insulation through the website. Alfie got back to me and walked me through all the options with no pressure to buy (gave me some time to think it over and called back the next day). Decided to arrange a survey for the following week. John carried out the survey. He was on time, very thorough and respectful of my property. Got a callback from Alfie moments after John left and was pleased to hear the price had gone down based on the survey, so decided to go ahead with the installation. Installation was a breeze despite a complex loft space - this was made possible by a great team of installers lead by Ramon. They arrived on time (on both days) and quickly got to work. They kept me informed as to what they were doing at all times (e.g. when installing downlighting covers, shower mixers, etc...) and brought me up to show me their progress after cleaning the space and installing the new layers of insulation. Everyone involved was absolutely brilliant. Can't recommend RJ Insulation highly enough!

Myself and the wife had been looking to get our loft converted. On speaking to a few firms we decided to go with R J insulation. We got a call from Alfie who took time in telling us about what was available . We decided to go with the second option after a day of thinking it over. The guys who arrived came at the stated time all were very polite and called me sir ( i had to tell them to call me raymond) the work that these guys done was excellent. Max explained everything to us and took time to do so . The guys were here from 08:00 until 19:00 . We are well pleased with the work done and have been telling people we know about the company. I have always said you get what you paid for and we certainly got that. Work was finished to a very high standard . We don’t have a small lift and it must have been challenging. Max and his guys did a great job . The guys hoovered on the last day and left the place tidy . We can’t thank the guys enough and we will be using our loft for storage area now .

Following my husband’s cancer treatment, we downsized to make our lives easier. This started three-months of hell after discovering a rat infestation in the loft. After eliminating the blighters, we booked a clearance with an expensive pest control company who recommended a simultaneous re-insulation. Wary of re-insulating with the same fibrous material, we researched alternatives deciding on SuperFoil with RJ Insulation. Alfie was friendly & knowledgeable with information about materials and cost. A surveyor arrived on time and assessed the job. We booked the installation two days after the clearance. RJ Installation arrived promptly and found old insulation left in hard-to-reach areas. They immediately removed the mess, including. three redundant water tanks. Thank goodness we refused the recommendation from the other company who would have re-insulated on top of the mess and not told us! The RJ Insulation crew were, without any doubt – the most efficient, friendly and cheerful crew we have EVER had working in our homes, instilling us with confidence and informing us of every action and inviting regular inspection. The SuperFoil has noticeably improved the temperature in our home. We were surprised to see the frost outside our super toasty house. I don’t hand out money or praise where it is not deserved and RJ Insulation deserve every bit of praise, and every penny paid. They were simply marvellous, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Very clearly explained the materials which would be used on the initial phone call. Told me the price and that it wouldn’t be any higher. Surveyor came round to measure and assess - friendly and efficient (covered his boots to come in) Was given a date for the works - arrived promptly and were friendly, covered the floors with dust sheets, checked the ceilings with me for any existing cracks/issues. They removed all the old insulation and unsuitable previous wood boards which were mostly damaged and took all away. Installed new supersoft insulation, boarded the area and fitted a new insulated hatch. At the end of the job invited me to have a look at the work - all seemed very good, then they vacuumed and left no trace that they had ever been here (except for the new hatch!)

Our house is complicated as it has a normal loft space but also around three sides of the roof there are eaves which lie directly over the rooms on the ground floor. All these areas were poorly insulated but putting new insulation in was a real problem, especially in the eaves with boards running the full length which required effective insulation inserting underneath these boards. We searched hard over many years to find an insulation fitting company who we felt really understood the challenge - until we found RJ. They were helpful in discussing the issues and answering our questions. The only problem was that the initial quote, done remotely, was an overestimate due to the complexity of our loft so we were pleased that we had done some of our own measurements! The fitting team were amazing! They worked extremely hard and came up with very sensible solutions to one or two unexpected issues. The sheep's wool insulation had an immediate beneficial effect. Definitely not the cheapest firm but certainly one that understands the challenges of a "different" house! Thank you RJ.

I was recommended to this company by the manufacturers of the Wool insulation that I wanted to use. My initial enquiry was swiftly dealt with and a surveyor contacted me and visited swiftly as well. A date was organised for the installation which had to be postponed twice - firstly because the suppliers of the insulation failed to deliver on time and secondly due to an overrun on a previous job. Luckily I was available for new dates on both postponements. The team of two men who carried out the work were swift, efficient, pleasant and were quick to consult if there were any issues. They left the rooms clean though, inevitably dust built up all round the house. In the aftermath of the insulation there has been a cold snap and I have definitely noticed a significant increase of temperature throughout the rooms now insulated. I would recommend the company

I'm so grateful that I found this superb company! They explained things patiently and clearly and most certainly did not do a sales pitch! They offered me a cheaper option but I opted for SupaSoft. They have been excellent at all stages and did the work in a day which kept the impact on my tenant to zero. They moved my tenants thing back afterwards and tied up. I can't really recommend them highly enough and will certainly use them again.

From the start of my original enquiry to the end of the installation itself, nothing was too much trouble. Alfie was helpful, explained everything and went out of his way to sort any concerns. The quote was done efficiently and installation time after was almost immediate (week later). The installation team were clean, tidy and efficient as well as understanding. They arrived at 7.45am having left head office at 5am and left 11am. Again, nothing was too much trouble and the work was carried out as detailed on the quote. I will not hesitate to recommend.

I cannot recommend this company enough. From the initial chat with Alfie through John and the fabulous installers this was as smooth as clockwork. Firstly the product is great but we probably knew that already. More importantly the clarity and professionalism of everyone involved made this a really pleasurable experience. We live in an old house, fridge in the winter, oven in the summer and what often feels like pretty poor air throughout. Although we’ve not had any great temperatures to truly test this out the air already feels tangibly cleaner and the temperatures more constant. It will undoubtedly be an improvement through the colder months but is also making a big difference now. Alfie was very open, knowledgeable and engaging throughout and the installers were friendly, punctual to the second and really went the extra mile with the clean up as well as doing a fabulous job with everything else. I’ve never had a better experience with a company than this and can’t speak highly enough of both product and service.

The experience I had with R J Insulation was wonderful. When I initially contacted them for a quote I got a full run down regarding the service they provide as well as the different materials they offer, and they were happy to answer any questions I had and explained all their certifications. I was given time to research everything and I genuinely think they wanted nothing more than to offer the best service. Although when compared to other installers and insulation types it may be more on the expensive side for initial cost, I think it's worth every penny as not only do you get a lifetime guarantee, you get the extra knowledge that your insulation is made of recycled or eco-friendly materials. Having had SupaSoft installed it's also good to know that the insulation will last long after I've moved from the house. I got my loft insulated with the recommended amount of SupaSoft insulation as well as about 8 square metres of lifted boarding added for storage. The installers arrived on time on the day and were clean, courteous, and finished everything well before the expected completion time. They double checked with me where I wanted the boarding put as well as discussing how to deal with my push-up loft hatch. When the job was finished everything was tidied up and hoovered, and I think my carpets are even cleaner than when they arrived. Overall, I had a wonderful experience from start to finish and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering loft insulation.

From the initial contact to the completion of the work all concerned were courteous, informative, professional and thoughtful. Our needs were discussed at length and advice and suggestions to meet our needs explored. The RAMS assessor visit prior to the work was informative and all our questions were answered. The four gentlemen that carried out the work were efficient, hard working and kind and completed the work within the time scale given and left the place spotless. I had a fantastic experience as a customer right from the moment I contacted them regarding enquiries about insulating my loft. Each insulation option was explained clearly to me including the advantages and disadvantages of each potential product. When I made my decision on the best option for me, the whole process was broken down to me in clear, easy to understand steps. They were able to accommodate a date which worked around my work calendar which I really appreciated. The two team members who attended my property to carry out the work were very friendly, professional and polite. The work they completed is of a high standard and they left my property in a great condition. RJ Insulation sent an excellent team who were very hardworking, diligent, polite and respectful. Indeed unusually for a building project it was a pleasure! The outcome is exactly what I wanted but was unsure could be delivered to this highest of standards. The skill standard, quality of work and the use of sustainable materials, though costly, is value for money. I have an amazing beautifully finished space - well decorated and with a really good Novocore flooring that is both beautiful and practical. RJ were happy to use my paint of choice, Little Greene and came up with a brilliant solution to my request for simple easy access fitting a fully remote controlled Loftomatic ladder system. It is awesome and will mean I will be able to access the space easily making it really usable. I am beyond delighted - it was worth the time and money. RJ put a lot of effort into the planning and ensuring they understood my needs so they could deliver exactly what I wanted. They excelled and have gone above and beyond! I will definitely be using them for any future insulation work and highly recommend them to make your loft a usable space.

Very happy with the work done, and the customer service received. The two chaps that came to do the insulation were very pleasant indeed, they were clear on what they were doing, and kept everything clean and tidy. Really pleased that I took the January discount offer. The house feels much warmer already, and the boards are now much better secured. I wasn't pressured by the sales team and was given plenty of information and time to decide. Really pleased I made decision to use RJ Insulation via Top Up Insulation.

The loft insulation in our 1900’s house was poor with the existing loose boarding laid directly on top of it. In researching upgrading the insulation I came across SuperFOIL insulation and contacted R J Insulation to discuss. Alfie talked me through the product, the quotation and installation process and after providing a few details shortly came back to me with a quote with a small range. By installing SuperFOIL it would mean that the existing insulation didn’t need replacing nor the boarding. After agreeing to go to the next stage, a member of the team visited within a few days to conduct a risk assessment and to firm up the quote. Alfie then confirmed the price, which was within the initial range suggested. After agreeing to proceed, a date was fixed for the installation within a couple of weeks. The installation team were punctual, polite and friendly, protecting our carpets with sheets and vacuuming when they had finished. They also removed a couple of redundant water tanks from our loft. The work was completed on time and to budget. We noticed some immediate improvements after the installation - drafts in the loft were eliminated, our first floor rooms felt warmer, noises from outside were reduced and the loft looks great! Hopefully we will also see reduced gas bills in due course. I thoroughly recommend the product and R J Insulation.

R J Insulation carried out phase 1 of my 3 phase loft insulation project back in 05/10/2023. The review I wrote then will be similar as this one. The professionalism is exemplary, from making contact through all processes such as quoting, customer acceptance, agreeing timescales and payment. I sought out the company because I was unable to find a local firm willing to undertake the type of work. I turned to Which? and immediately felt comfortable in knowing they were a Which? Trusted Trader. Phase 2 of my project was all about lifting the boarding, disposal of the existing felt insulation, laying down 'SuperSoft' insulation and reinstalling the boarding. This was undertaken by the original 3 chaps who had previously installed Phase 1. They were punctual, professional, very hard working and were excellent at leaving the property clean. There were no issues whatsoever in all of the processes. I am very happy to recommed the company, and will be returning for the final phase of the project.

We are very pleased with our attic insulation and notice how much warmer our home feels now. The air is also more breathable and better too - it is clean insulation and none of that horrid glass fibre itchy stuff that was in there before. It ticks the green credentials too (we had superfoil and supasoft put in). Yes it isn't a cheap option for upfront costs but if you can afford the initial outlay it's guaranteed for life. You need to look at the whole picture, factoring in the long term savings (never having to replace it) with cheaper bills and efficient heating (and cooling). We would definitely recommend RJ Insulation, they were very professional, prompt in returning calls, on time for visits and carried out the work efficiently. The guys working on site couldn't have been more helpful and thorough. If you can, go for it! And if you are able to choose the sheep wool option you'll be supporting our British farmers - another good tick!

We used this company to install new insulation in the cellar ceiling of our 1910 built home. They also replaced our old insulation in the attic - both with sheepswool. The whole process was excellent from first contact to installation. No pressure just prompt responses to all questions. The site assessor and installers were great. from start to finish the service was excellent. i had my loft insulated with sheeps wool which was recommended for the age of my home. john delt with my order and was extremly imformative and helpful. fitting was arranged quickly and the two fitters were brilliant. left clean and even hoovered my stairs for me. would highly recommend this company

I found all the people I had contact with in the company extremely helpful and competent. Originally the job was going to be done in one go but I needed to get the loft sprayed for woodworm so they came one day to remove the old boarding and insulation and came back a week later to install the new insulation and boarding. I had a slight issue with the loft ladder that they were going to provide so they came back the next day to install a more suitable ladder. As the company is based in Ipswich and I am in Cumbria I was very impressed by how adaptable they were to my requests as it meant more travelling for the installers. The finished job is perfect and the cottage is lovely and cosy now.
