That's the Which? mediation service's estimate to repair the damage and shoddy/substandard work this company did to my property. No QA process, due diligence, reasonable care or competence throughout. No concept of the terms "straight", "level" and "right angle" Seals full of dirt. Worktops with pencil marks, sealed in! Kitchen units damaged. Mirrors hanging from screw heads, more holes behind than required! Walls so bad they're effectively un-paintable! Floors damaged, cannot be carpeted! Staircases destroyed! Every possible bodge and corner cut, tried to rip me off to fix damage they did to areas they weren't contracted to touch at all. Invoiced for work that wasn't done. Some hidden behind walls. Added £4000 to the bath quote after it was supposed to be completed, with numerous errors and shoddy work still outstanding. “Oh I under quoted!” Tried to blackmail me with a threat of walking away unless I paid "in full", despite the incomplete and shoddy work throughout. I made a formal complaint! Received no response whatsoever, and no letter of deadlock after 28 days. This company did a runner! Leaving the property with serious health, safety, and structural defects! Then the boiler broke down. Installation error! Had to get a competent plumber to fix it. My property is now effectively uninhabitable and unsafe. I have had to move into rented accommodation as a result. This company, is dishonest, shameless, incompetent, and rotten to the core. Avoid at all costs!

We have had a bathroom refurbishment and a wet room fitted. A number of excellent tradesmen were involved. Roger kept in touch throughout the refurbishment and ensured there were no delays. A professional service from start to finish.

Absolutely delighted with the fitting of a new Worcester boiler and column radiators. Being an old Victorian property our house can present significant challenges, not the least of which is the owner! All were met skilfully and with a positive ‘can do’ approach. We received excellent guidance and support from Roger at the beginning of the project which allowed us to make informed choices. Lee and Joe valiantly installed the boiler in the smallest cupboard known to man on one of the hottest days, Joe’s piecing together and pointing of the outside stonework around the flue is amazing.Scott provided the finishing touches with a master class in joinery. What a team! Quality workmanship and materials, dependable, trustworthy and super clean and tidy. Perfect!

Our 17 year old boiler expired on Monday evening. I rang Roger on Tuesday morning and by the evening he had visited and provided a competitive quote. By Thursday evening we had a new boiler working perfectly. Roger and the fitting team were extremely professional throughout. RSHB has provided similar high quality work previously at my workplace and for friends and colleagues and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Contacted R S Heating and Building for a service for my central heating boiler. In no time at all the engineer found a major problem and condemned the unit as unsafe to use. He reported this to his Boss Roger. Two days later Roger came out to see me with all information on new boilers and various options. I decided to replace like for like, a floor standing unit with bags of power. The next task was to locate this particular model as Covid affecting supply of many things however this was achieved and a date was arranged for installation. The work was carried out over two days with the minimum amount of disruption. The engineers were prompt knowledgeable and respectful of my property. R S Heating is a Family Business and worthy of praise and recommendation.

I had a wall demolished, new windows installed, new central heating boiler and a new kitchen fitted. I was told by Roger that the work would take 3 weeks and he was spot on. The over-run on the budget was due to my changing specs on the worktop. The team that carried out the work (Scott, Lee, Bryan, Jim, Darren, Joe) went above and beyond and I trusted them implicitly due to their professionalism. Over the 3 weeks, they cleared up after themselves each day and were always polite and helpful, supported by cups of tea. Peter dropped by daily to check on progress and he too enjoyed cups of tea. Second time we have had work done by Roger and his team, the last occasion was 4 years ago. Had a new shower installed and refurbished WC on this occasion. He still has the same team of really nice guys who are very good at their job. Roger is really good at keeping in touch throughout the project and was the first to get back with a comprehensive quote. I know he is usually very busy but he is worth waiting for.

Our boiler died on Sunday, the team assessed it on Monday and replaced it on Thursday and Friday. They never left us overnight without heat or warm water and managed to do their stuff with 4 of us working from home and minimal disruption. As a bonus they detected and resolved a 4 year old installation mistake in the fitting of our old underfloor heating which had rendered it virtually ineffective...fantastic result. I can't comment on cost comparisons as the urgency of the work was more important to me than shopping around, but the charges seemed reasonable for the quality of the equipment and the time spent on installing it.

My first contact with R.S & Heating was in 1974 when they took out an oil boiler and replaced it with a gas one. Since then they have done several jobs for us, some large and some small, all completed on time by excellent technicians. The organisation is helpful with good aftercare, we would not have used them so many times if it was otherwise.

In early January our central heating boiler packed up and we needed a new one fast. Within 24 hours Roger had visited us, given us a written quote and a date for the work. Within 5 days the new boiler was installed and we were cosy-warm once again. We loved the way Roger and his team just got on with the job. They did what they promised when they said they would. Everyone was professional and friendly, and we especially appreciated that Roger checked in with us at regular intervals to make sure we were happy. We have no hesitation in recommending Roger and his team.

Our boiler died during the recent spell of extremely cold weather. An engineer came out immediately to try and fix it, but when it was clear it was beyond hope it was replaced within 2 days, for which we were very grateful. We cannot praise the service highly enough. The workmen turned up bang on time, were polite and friendly, and respectful of us and our home, not only in terms of Covid compliance, but also ensuring they kept our living space as warm as possible while they worked. There was no mess left at all. Roger arrived in the afternoon to ensure the work was going to plan. This company goes the extra mile in terms of its customer service and reliability. I have recommended them to friends and family on many occasions and my latest experience with them is typical of their exemplary service.

We had a complete bathroom refit, bath, shower, sink, toilet, tiles. The team were very good and especially Lee and Scott who did the majority of the work. They were as tidy as is possible in such a major job and we thank them for that. Roger came every day to check on progress and keep us updated which was much appreciated.

Roger and his team helped me out by replastering, skirting and fitting a WC. I also asked them to repair some woodwork to the landing. They did a very good job and the communication was great. The team of tradesmen worked like clockwork and given they were very busy took the time to fit me into their schedule. I would certainly recommend them and contact them for future work. Very, very happy with our new bathroom. Completely remodeled - bath out, walk-in shower installed, fully tiled, new loo, sink, doors and fittings. From start to finish we felt we were in very safe hands. Roger was very receptive to our ideas and his highly professional team turned them into reality, on time, on budget and to a very high standard. Highly recommended.

Professional and efficient. Initial site visit Monday afternoon and verbal quote provided. Detailed written quote emailed later the same day. As it was only a one day job to replace our old boiler with a new Vaillant boiler, they managed to fit us in on the Friday of the same week. Lee and Joe arrived promptly at 9:00 and had finished by 18:00. They were friendly, courteous and tidy.

Finally our old Vaillant succumbed. Husband rang RS Heating and Roger the owner appeared that afternoon to advise us. Excellent professional up to date information and quotes were provided. On Monday due to a cancellation our new Vaillant was fitted efficiently as if no one had been in. I was really impressed that Roger came to check up that afternoon on the work and to answer our queries. We would definitely recommend RS Heating.

RS Heating & Building just completed an update of our downstairs toilet (tiling, fitting heated towel rail and new tap). Not only have they done a great job but they were always very responsive to any enquiries, showed up when they said they would and did the job on time and for the price quoted. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend them.

20 year old combi boiler required replacing. Roger provided options on the type of boiler to install and pros and cons of each. After deciding, the job was completed within a couple of weeks, on time and exactly as per quote. No surprises, everything "boringly professional" as promised. Exactly what we wanted. The work involved taking out an existing bath and replacing it with a shower cubicle and also involved diverting pipework and tiling where the bath was. Roger was brilliant in taking on board what we wanted and making the necessary adjustments to our plans and told us which plumbers merchant to pick our shower from. Grahams Plumbers Merchants were very helpful in directing us to what we wanted. Lee and Scott were excellent workmen, very efficient and extremely tidy. Everything ran like clockwork and all completed within three working days. We would certainly use this company again and would highly recommend them to others.

After recently moving into our new property we needed to replace and move the failing combi-boiler that was struggling to keep us warm. RS Heating & Building completed the job and fitted 4 new radiators professionally and to a high standard and always cleaning up after themselves. Roger and his team were very friendly and helpful throughout, always able to answer our questions. There were a couple of minor issues along the way due to building access meaning the job took slightly longer than originally planned, but they kept us up to date with progress. I would definitely recommend them. Great service.

RS Heating & Building regrouted our bathroom - a laborious job (and thus not cheap) but worth it. Roger and Jim were punctual & efficient, and the work was done to a high standard: the bathroom looks like new. I would use them again, and recommend them.
