I’ve been using Rory’s services for over 12 years. He’s very knowledgeable, dependable and competitively priced and has a reliable team for supporting him. The last major job in Feb 2024 was a complete bathroom and cloakroom toilet strip out and refit. I was really impressed with the finish and it’s all proved to have been bulletproof. He can arrange all aspects of larger jobs including electricians and plasterers. I also use his company for boiler servicing and repairs including central heating updates. For rentals he’s supported me as a landlord with gas safety checks and certificates liaising directly with tenants to arrange visits. He’s very approachable provide good communication and will endeavour to make sure you’re completely happy with his work. If there’s an emergency he’ll do his best to get the problem resolved quickly.

I have been using Rory's services for a dozen years, during which time I have used him for all our plumbing requirements, for example: Installation of a new boiler and annual servicing; fitting new radiators and the design and installation of a large walk-in shower (including advice on lighting, etc.) Rory is totally reliable and has provided exceptional service in the occasional emergency. Also provided an emergency plumbing repair to replace faulty pipe work installed during the build by national builder, and fitted a new boiler. I first met Rory back in 2021 whist refurbishing a property in Cardiff, I live in Gloucester and was fortunate to have Rory recommended by a friend who lives in Cardiff. He met me at the property and you quickly realise he's knowledgable and genuine (he was also giving me advice about other no heating or plumbing related jobs). He completed the work I needed, basically sorting heating system out and then the water supply for kitchen. This led to more work and plumbing in a new W.C we had installed. Gas hob and sink kit was next, this involved moving the gas supply the previous heating engineer fitted after me telling him it was the wrong place. Anyway cut a long story short, he services the heating every year as I have total faith in him and his work. I can happily ask him to sort any heating and plumbing issues for the tenants in the knowledge he will do a great job. I recommended Rory to someone who lives near me but was also refurbishing a house in the Cardiff area. My feedback from him was that Rory was superb and was really grateful for finding him. I have refurbished a number of properties and usually use my trusted trades mates from Gloucester (they will travel for me). I've always found a good reliable heating engineer is hard to find, suffice to say I will keep using R.Thomas Heating and Plumbing Ltd (Rory).

Rory reviewed my not very good central heating system, made suggestions as to how it could be improved and once agreed, carried out all the work to a very high standard. He worked hard to do the work to my schedule and the end result is a house that is warm and has a controllable system. I have no hesitation in recommending him and will continue to use him.
