We needed two flat roofs re-sealed as it was 20 years sice they were last felted. Richie responded immediately and came to survey. He did not try to sell us anything we did not need! His estimate was prompt and much more reasonable than others we had contacted. We accepted his estimate and he rang to arrange a date to start, arriving when promised. He and his men were here for two days, worked tidily and efficiently, and cleared up well, taking all the old felt etc. away. Job done. And it looks good. We thoroughly recommend this company.

Had new dry roof valley put in, roof hips and ridges re mortared and gutters repaired. Richie and his team were efficient, friendly and professional. Communicated well with regards to the job and best long term options were provided for doing a job that would last.

Excellent communication, helpful recommendations. Work was undertaken at date & time agreed. Work finished to a high standard & waterproof. I was concerned in regard to potential problems with the neighbour's adjacent garage roofs either side of the work being undertaken. Great care was taken to ensure adjacent roofs remained watertight at the overlap joints. Site left clean & clear of all debris, old roof felt remnants & clout-nails. Invoiced at the cost of the original quotation, not the cheapest nor the most expensive. I regard the high standard of the work undertaken, and the overall professionalism as excellent value.

I called R W Roofing about a slipped roof tile after a previous botched roofing job. They fitted us into their schedule the same day, kept us informed on timings and (amazingly) waived the fee as the job was so small. A friendly service and great experience!

I called the company to investigate a leak coming through my bathroom extractor fan and to repair a longstanding issue with a gutter join. Richie came to do an assessment of the work required which included replacing broken tiles, de-mossing the roof and treating it, fixing the gutter join and cleaning out the gutters. I was given a price and that is what I paid. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Richie was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend his services.

R W Roofing Services worked though the extreme weather of Storm Darcy and even when the weather halted work and the roof needed to be protected with felt and baton, Richie visited the site on a Sunday to make sure the roof had adequate protection as heavy snow and winds were forecast. The team were reliable, professional, polite, on budget and tidy as well as carrying out an excellent job. We're delighted.

We used RW to renovate a roof using reclaimed tiling since our house is in a conservation area. They quoted promptly and clearly. When doing the work they were fast and efficient. When they found out the job was not going to take as long as they had priced for, they voluntarily reduced our bill. Richie and his team carried out a refurbishment of our roof on time, within the budget of his competitive quotation and to a very high quality. He kept us informed on progress and ensured that the roof was always left in a watertight condition throughout the build. He ensured that the site was tidied on completion and cleared of scaffold and skip within 24 hours. I would have no hesitation in using Richie for any other roofing work and would highly recommend his services.

With so many businesses not quite achieving the customer expectations R.W are a refreshing example of what is possible. Mutual respect and understanding is key as both the people carrying out the work and the customer can have challenges. I have no problem in highly recommending R.W. Roofing as it was clear from the first conversation Richie has the customers best interests at heart and as others have noted he is keen to ensure a solid and long lasting result for the client.

This firm came highly recommended by other clients. Rainwater Leak on landing caused by capillary action due to the build up of moss between two dormer windows. Richie, the boss, immediately could identify the problem and quote followed very shortly. Date fixed for removal of all moss from house roof , followed by chemical treatment to provide long term protection. Text sent day before due date enquiring whether date was still convenient and arrival time agreed. Team arrived spot on time. All members of team incredibly polite. Clear up afterwards perfect - there was a lot of moss! Richie, who I believe has a direct link to the Met Office chose perfect weather conditions for this work and more importantly the chemical treatment afterwards which requires a few days to work satisfactorily. These people are to be recommended.

We received 3 quotes for a lift, re-line and re-establishment of a single-storey extension roof. Richie’s quote was highest but he was communicative and provided a breakdown of the work for the best solution for the long-term. The other quotes were somewhat lower but (a) the first came from a simple viewing from ground level and, although providing a written estimate, seemed to have little expertise whereas (b) the second quote was based on replacing like-for-like (they failed to provide a schedule for when work could be done or return phone calls etc.). R, importantly, cares about what he is doing. Instead of just ‘putting right’, R wanted to ensure everything would last. Existing gullies of fibre, bedded in mortar, were replaced by more efficient ‘dry’ gullies, Despite his best efforts to keep everything weather-proof during the work some terrible weather meant that rain penetrated between existing lead-work and a temporary covering. This, we believe, could not have been avoided without serious delay and is no reflection on the quality of R’s work: additional cost was agreed for lead-work to match the quality of the ‘new’ roof. R made the roof weather-proof as soon as he was aware. If you want a ‘cheap fix’ then R is probably not for you: if you want quality then he probably is. No job of this nature will be ‘perfect’ : our tiny criticisms would be aimed at R’s labourers and the ‘lead-work’ team who failed to match R’s standards of care when it came to tidying up.

Richie and his team came to deal with a leaking flat roof over a double garage. This was accomplished quickly and neatly in one day, removing the old felting and replacing with a modern 3-ply felt. The team were all good to have around and were all very polite and we were kept properly informed at all stages. The subsequent clear up was excellent. We had only one slight problem namely the coping stones round the roof edge could not be re-used (marked beyond repair by previous works). These were replaced without any trouble but it is worth mentioning that the coping replacement was not quite to the same high standard as all the other work. In summary, a first class job carried out by a very pleasant team. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Richie quoted for the repair of an area of damage to my roof felt lining. I accepted and he was able to carry out the repair straight away and was done in about an hour. Richie is a friendly and helpful man doing good work so I have asked him to quote for another job.

RW Roofing Services have carried out a fantastic job on painting my fascias, soffits, Victorian bay window area and garage door and all completed in two days and one being the hottest day of the year. They supplied all the materials and cleaned and cleared up each day. Richie and his team are very friendly and sociable and I would recommend this company to carry out work.

Richie provided a quote for a us on a leaking roof. Identified the leak as being part of the chimney join and gave us options for resolution. His recommendation was removing the chimney, replacing the membrane and retiling, which we went with. He scheduled the work within a week, and completed in a single morning. I'm very happy with the work completed (evidenced by pictures from the roof), and the friendly service both from Richie and his team. Would highly recommend.

Just as the first lockdown started we suffered a minor leak in the main roof of our house. I engaged a roofer I'd used previously to fix it but after he had made several failed attempts to fix it, and with only days before we were due to complete on the sale of the house, I decided to find another roofer. After searching Which I found RWRoofing Services. I texted Richie (owner of RW Roofing Service) on a Saturday afternoon and he came round at 8:30 am the next day (Sunday) to examine the roof. Shortly after 9:30 he submitted very reasonably priced quote which I accepted. RIchie started work at 8:30 am the following day. He replaced the valley gutter and fitted a new water proof membrane under it plus redoing all the mortar and replacing tiles where necessary. He encouraged me to climb the ladder to view and photograph the work as it progressed. The job was completed by about 3 pm that day. Richie then suggested I leave it an hour before climbing a ladder again and playing a hosepipe on the roof to make sure it didn't leak again. I am pleased to say it that didn't Based on that experience and Richie's open and positive approach I thoroughly recommend him . The only downside is that having moved to Scotland I won't be able to use his services again.

Replacement small roof: All the work was completed quickly and to budget, the guys were friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about :)
