Ryan has just completed a full damp proof course to our kitchen and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result and impressed with the overall service. From the outset, he turned up to quote when he said he would, the quote was detailed and gave clear instruction as to what we could expect from him and what he needed us to do to prepare the space for them to start work. He was easy to get hold of and happy to answer any questions I had prior to the job starting and turned up exactly when he said he would to start the job. He quoted for 3 days but managed to get it done in 2 and at the end of the first day, gave me a full update as to where they were at and what they planned to do next. The actual finish was brilliant, the plaster work including the edging around the window frames was spot on. Even the electrical sockets were put back on without a mark on them. The kitchen was swept and mopped and all rubbish was taken away. Such a relief to walk back into the house expecting carnage given the nature of the job, only to see it neat and tidy apart from a little dust. On payment he sent a receipt and contractors guarantee immediately - no having to chase for the paperwork. I’m at the end of pretty much a full house renovation (roof, windows, electrics etc ) and out of all the contractors we’ve had, Ryan is the only one I could say was excellent. Thanks so much! We had a damp-proof membrane installed. RB Plastering gave a clear diagnosis of what was causing the damp and what needed to be done to rectify it. Their communication throughout was exceptional, written quotes, receipts, invoices and guarantee. Also good communication in terms of when they would arrive and how long the work would take.

Ryan and his team completed a damp proof course along the party wall of my house on schedule and within the price quoted. He was recommended by a good friend, who had had work done by Ryan for him and his family. I found Ryan friendly and communicative. He explained what needed to happen in lay terms, which was very helpful. He also advised me about communicating with my neighbour regarding what impact the work might have on them and about how to help the plaster dry out more quickly and how long to leave it before re-decorating. When the team arrived, Ryan showed me the materials they were using for the damp course. He kept me updated with texts and photos of the work at different stages. The handover (of work and keys) between Ryan’s team and the joiner was seamless and I was very happy with his work too. They replaced my skirting boards with good quality skirting boards which match well with the existing ones. After the work was completed Ryan sent more photos, in which I could see that they’d mopped both my living room floor and the kitchen! Furthermore, one of the neighbours mentioned that they’d seen Ryan’s team even sweeping the pavement/ road outside the house. I know people are often concerned when you’re having work done that nails or other debris may be left outside that might puncture their car tyres, so really appreciated them cleaning up outside, as I’ve just bought a house and am new to the street.

Ryan and his team were great. I bought a property recently and knew from the survey that there could be some damp around the back door. Ryan came to inspect this, took readings and gave me a comprehensive explanation of why water was penetrating through and what would be needed to rectify this. He also looked at an upstairs wall for me where I have noticed some minimal symptoms of condensation/damp. I went ahead with the downstairs work at this time. The team were punctual, polite and finished the work beautifully and to schedule. Ryan works with a joiner who came the next morning to replace the skirting boards as agreed and achieved a lovely finish. I would definitely recommend RB Damp Proofing to anyone needing damp inspections or work. And would hire Ryan and the team again when I do any further work of this kind.

Ryan carried out a short survey on my parents’ house which had damp issues. Correspondence with him prior to the survey was very helpful and he arrived promptly as promised. He undertook the survey with professionalism and the results were explained clearly as were his suggested solutions. Ryan was polite , knowledgable and friendly and I am extremely grateful to him for his advice. I would not hesitate to seek his help and advice again.

Had issues with damp in my home but found it hard to find a trader I could trust to rectify the issue. After reading previous comments for RB Plastering & Damp-proofing, I decided to give this company a try and I have not been disappointed. From the moment Ryan arrived to review the issue, his honest and clear advice on what needed doing, made me feel confident I had found the right person. When I decided to go ahead with the work, Ryan and his team arrived when they said they would, kept me updated on progress and, just as important to me, respected the house as my home. The work was completed on time (damp proofing along the side of the house and plastering in the small bedroom), on budget, to a high standard and the work areas cleaned up afterwards. We honestly cannot recommend Ryan and his team enough. They previously damp-proofed/plastered our living and dining rooms a few years ago, and they recently came back to do the kitchen prior to us having a new kitchen fitted. Ryan and his team turned up on time every day. The work they did is of an exceptionally high standard and we are over the moon with the finished result. They also cleared up after themselves and left the place really tidy - which was pretty impressive given that plastering can be quite a messy job! Ryan was really understanding when we were let down by our builder, which delayed some of the plastering work he and his team were due to do. He was able to rearrange his own work schedule to come back and finish our job once the building work had been completed, so that it didn't cause any problems for our kitchen being fitted. Ryan and his team are friendly, professional and approachable. They are happy to answer questions and explain things really clearly. Ryan also made it clear that we could contact him if we come across any problems further down the line (which we don't expect we will as the work is top-notch, but it's nice to have the peace of mind!). He provided prompt and detailed paperwork (invoices, receipts and guarantee), which is always handy to have. I can't say enough good things about Ryan and his team, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Ryan came round to give a free quote as promised. After 2 other quotes I decided to go with Ryan as he was very professional & did a thorough check of my property & explained everything clearly to me. Ryan & his team turned up early on the due date & the job was completed on the third day as he stated. As well as fixing the damp walls he also fitted air bricks in the external walls. I can honestly say the job has been completed to a very high standard and they left my property inside and outside clear of all rubble and took it away. I am very happy to recommend RB Plastering and would not hesitate to contact Ryan if I ever have such problems in the future.

We had a problem with damp all down our external wall (of an end terrace) and needed the whole wall damp proofed and replastered. They also fitted a wall vent in our bedroom. RB did a brilliant job to an incredibly high standard. Our house is now in tip-top condition and looking better than ever.
