We have no hesitation in recommending Ryan and his team at RB Plastering & Damp Proofing Ltd. They did an excellent job damp proofing the property, and the work that his plasterers and joiner did were top quality. Once the plaster was stripped off some problems were discovered, these were dealt with without any fuss by Ryan who, after discussion with us, arranged for an excellent electrician to make safe the electrics in the kitchen, and his team did the remedial work that was needed by the lounge window. We were kept informed on progress during the course of the job , and Ryan responded very quickly to any questions that we had.

We honestly cannot recommend Ryan and his team enough. They previously damp-proofed/plastered our living and dining rooms a few years ago, and they recently came back to do the kitchen prior to us having a new kitchen fitted. Ryan and his team turned up on time every day. The work they did is of an exceptionally high standard and we are over the moon with the finished result. They also cleared up after themselves and left the place really tidy - which was pretty impressive given that plastering can be quite a messy job! Ryan was really understanding when we were let down by our builder, which delayed some of the plastering work he and his team were due to do. He was able to rearrange his own work schedule to come back and finish our job once the building work had been completed, so that it didn't cause any problems for our kitchen being fitted. Ryan and his team are friendly, professional and approachable. They are happy to answer questions and explain things really clearly. Ryan also made it clear that we could contact him if we come across any problems further down the line (which we don't expect we will as the work is top-notch, but it's nice to have the peace of mind!). He provided prompt and detailed paperwork (invoices, receipts and guarantee), which is always handy to have. I can't say enough good things about Ryan and his team, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Ryan communicated in a friendly and professional manner prior to being awarded the job. He quoted a fair price and agreed a date to suit me. He gave clear information with regards to the way the work was to be completed, what I should do prior to his team’s arrival, how much dust to expect, what steps he’d take to minimise the creation of dust and how long the plaster may take to dry. I spent time away from the house while the work was completed; Ryan updated me daily with detailed photos. After completion of the work I returned to find an incredibly clean and tidy house (all things considered). The plastering and joinery was of an exceptionally high standard (I base this opinion on previous trader’s work). Post-completion, Ryan sent all receipts, guarantees etc by email. I would not hesitate to recommend Ryan - he exceeded my expectations and was a pleasure to deal with.

Ryan came to my house to quote for a damp patch repair. He assessed the damage and gave me advice and options which included just doing decorative repairs. He is a really genuine guy who I would trust to do a great job, as all the reviews on this site bear testimony to. He is polite and informative and I would thoroughly recommend him.

Ryan was extremely reliable as he turned up as he said he would both for the quote and when he started work. Ryan was able to clearly explain what the work involved and cause of the damp issues. I felt he was trustworthy because he kept me informed of any changes as they arose including the bonus of being able to keep the skirting board. Ryan and his team were well prepared on the day and although the nature of the work means it is very dusty, they did a very good job of cleaning/tidying up after they had finished. Ryan turned up when promised to review the work and offered a fair price. The team were very professional in all aspects of the work keeping me informed throughout with photos of work completed sent each day. Although the job created minor hassles he just got the whole lot sorted with no fuss. Would recommend without doubt.

Ryan and his team completed a damp proof course along the party wall of my house on schedule and within the price quoted. He was recommended by a good friend, who had had work done by Ryan for him and his family. I found Ryan friendly and communicative. He explained what needed to happen in lay terms, which was very helpful. He also advised me about communicating with my neighbour regarding what impact the work might have on them and about how to help the plaster dry out more quickly and how long to leave it before re-decorating. When the team arrived, Ryan showed me the materials they were using for the damp course. He kept me updated with texts and photos of the work at different stages. The handover (of work and keys) between Ryan’s team and the joiner was seamless and I was very happy with his work too. They replaced my skirting boards with good quality skirting boards which match well with the existing ones. After the work was completed Ryan sent more photos, in which I could see that they’d mopped both my living room floor and the kitchen! Furthermore, one of the neighbours mentioned that they’d seen Ryan’s team even sweeping the pavement/ road outside the house. I know people are often concerned when you’re having work done that nails or other debris may be left outside that might puncture their car tyres, so really appreciated them cleaning up outside, as I’ve just bought a house and am new to the street.

Ryan and his team did an excellent job damp-proofing and re-plastering our ground floor due to rising damp. They were incredibly punctual, hard-working and always cleaned up and tidied throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I first contacted Ryan needing further investigation following a survey we had done to a house we were buying. He quickly visited to carry out an inspection, and supplied an in-depth, easy-to-understand evaluation of the state of the house and potential works that might need doing. As someone who hasn't the first clue about these things, I was conscious to use someone trustworthy who would provide an honest evaluation. Ryan did exactly this. He took the time to talk me through what he's found, and made fair recommendations without pressuring us to follow through with the works. On moving into the property, we asked Ryan and the team to carry out some of the more urgent work (clearing sub-floor ventilation). They were very accommodating, fitting us in at short notice, and the team were friendly, efficient and tidy! I wouldn't hesitate to use Ryan again or recommend him to anyone needing any damp proofing works doing on their property.

Having decided to finally a tackle a damp problem affecting the top of an internal chimney breast and adjoining walls, I contacted Ryan to request an inspection/assessment of the problem. Ryan's knowledge of the potential causes of the problem was immediately impressive and assuring, and a date was agreed for Ryan to visit my property and assess the issue. Ryan arrived on the date and time agreed and gave a detailed assessment of the cause of the problem and thorough explanation of what the remedial work would involve. Ryan subsequently sent me over a detailed quote for the work which was excellent. A start date was agreed, and Ryan and his team arrived to begin work on the date and time as expected. Throughout the work, Ryan kept me fully informed of their progress and what the next steps would involve which was really helpful. Ryan and his team worked incredibly hard and the job was completed in the planned timeframe, including the the visit of a joiner to complete the job, which Ryan organised. I'm really pleased with the finish, the standard of the work is first class and I can't thank Ryan and his team enough for helping me resolve a problem that had been affecting my property for some time. I can't recommend highly enough.

My rental property was suffering with significant rising and penetrating damp issues. I didn't know where to start to fix the problem but Ryan provided very detailed advice, took the time to fully explain every course of action and the various routes we could take. Ryan and his team fitted a new damp course, penetrating damp treatment and improved ventilation system, along with new skirting boards and solving of some electrical issues along the way. The work ran on time and I was provided with updates and pictures throughout so I knew exactly what was going on. All contacts and timelines were kept to, any questions were answered promptly and professionally. We have a property that had a dry rot problem which required the whole of the ground floor to be stripped the problem was so bad. We got 3 contractors to give us a quote, but went with Ryan and his team after doing some research and reading reviews from previous customers and we were not disappointed. Once the work was started we were kept up to date with the progress of the works on a daily basis and the works were completed to a very high standard. Ryan gave us a time frame for the works to be completed and he and his team went above and beyond to ensure this was attained, as we had a tight schedule to adhere to. I cannot recommend this Company enough they went that extra mile for us throughout.

Ryan and his team recently carried out damp proofing repairs to my porch using an impermeable membrane to the walls. They finished off by re-plastering the walls and putting on new skirting boards. I recently bought a house and only after stripping off the wallpaper prior to moving in did I discover extensive damp throughout. Despite being on a tight timescale before I had to move in Ryan managed to fit me in and essentially rebuild my house from the inside damp proofing and plastering a lot of the walls. Ryan and his team were all really tidy and did a brilliant job, even when issues cropped up he got it sorted with no stress and for a really reasonable price. The communication during the job was excellent and he sent me pictures of all the work that was completed each day so I could see the progress. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use again in the future.

Ryan carried out a short survey on my parents’ house which had damp issues. Correspondence with him prior to the survey was very helpful and he arrived promptly as promised. He undertook the survey with professionalism and the results were explained clearly as were his suggested solutions. Ryan came round to give a free quote as promised. After 2 other quotes I decided to go with Ryan as he was very professional & did a thorough check of my property & explained everything clearly to me. Ryan & his team turned up early on the due date & the job was completed on the third day as he stated. As well as fixing the damp walls he also fitted air bricks in the external walls. I can honestly say the job has been completed to a very high standard and they left my property inside and outside clear of all rubble and took it away. Ryan and his team completed a full damp course in my living room. The work was initially delayed because of Covid-19, but once rescheduled everything was done well within the timescale and budget. The work was carried out to a high degree of professionalism and to a very high standard. We couldn't be more pleased. Everything was cleared and swept each night, keeping the mess to a minimum., not an easy feat when plaster is involved. Once the job was finished, invoices and guarantee were sent the following day. Ryan made it clear that if we had any problems we should contact him, and while I don't think this assurance would be necessary, it's nice to know. I would definitely recommend this company.
