We had a problem with damp all down our external wall (of an end terrace) and needed the whole wall damp proofed and replastered. They also fitted a wall vent in our bedroom. RB did a brilliant job to an incredibly high standard. Our house is now in tip-top condition and looking better than ever.

Had issues with damp in my home but found it hard to find a trader I could trust to rectify the issue. After reading previous comments for RB Plastering & Damp-proofing, I decided to give this company a try and I have not been disappointed. From the moment Ryan arrived to review the issue, his honest and clear advice on what needed doing, made me feel confident I had found the right person. When I decided to go ahead with the work, Ryan and his team arrived when they said they would, kept me updated on progress and, just as important to me, respected the house as my home. The work was completed on time (damp proofing along the side of the house and plastering in the small bedroom), on budget, to a high standard and the work areas cleaned up afterwards. Ryan offered a free quote to assess what work needed doing. He advised we had condensation on an internal wall due to no vents on the front and back of the house, and that we also had a small area of rising damp on the chimney breast. The quote was clear and outlined the scope of work and how long it would take. I am very happy with the work that has been completed, all to a very high standard. Vents added to the front and back of the house, damp proofed the internal wall & chimney breast. Then re-plastered both walls. Also included a cost to have a joiner fit new skirting boards. Arrived on time everyday and answered all my questions with detailed answers. Cleaned up after the works were completed. I would highly recommend RB for any plastering/damp proof works.

Really great service on a tricky project. We encountered a few issues along the way due to the age of the house but Ryan always knew what to do and was extremely flexible in changing plans and moving around work. Very happy with the finished outcome. Highly recommend.

We bought a house with some damp issues downstairs. Ryan came and diagnosed the problem immediately. Explained what was required and came back with a quote within a day. Work was completed to an excellent standard, and made for easy decoration afterwards. Provided all the paperwork on receipt of payment and we've had no damp problems since. He came back later in the year to install some ventilation to the upstairs bedrooms. He managed to fit us in to his tight schedule and worked into the night to get it done. They were really knowledgeable and helpful in sorting out some damp issues in my house, he explained exactly what needed to be completed and why. All work was carried out within the stated timeframe, communication was excellent and I am really happy with the completed job. Ryan visited one of my rental properties to give me his opinion on whether damp treatment was required, following me already having had work done on my other rental property just next door. Ryan provided me with a detailed explanation on why my second property didn’t need treatment and also why it was unnecessary that it was done in the first. His advice saved me shelling out a further £3000 which was very much appreciated, as was the detailed explanation. No question was too much trouble. I would definitely call on Ryan again for any future damp queries / work.

From the moment Ryan came to view our bedroom with its damp wall and ceiling with falling salts onto the floor, it became quite clear that Ryan was head and shoulders above the rest. Our plasterwork between the wall and ceiling was complicated by the fact that the house still has the original plaster coving in place. Our Victorian end terrace needed a dpc,and after reading reviews we called Ryan. He came round and did a thorough investigation of the house,then went on to explain to us the work that needed carrying out. At this time,we asked if he could also skim and plaster the other unaffected walls and also the ceiling. A fully detailed quote was e-mailed to us,including a complete breakdown of works to be carried out etc. A commence date was agreed between us. The team arrived exactly on time every morning,were extremely thorough and cleaned everything up each day. We have no hesitation in recommending Ryan and his team at RB Plastering & Damp Proofing Ltd. They did an excellent job damp proofing the property, and the work that his plasterers and joiner did were top quality. Once the plaster was stripped off some problems were discovered, these were dealt with without any fuss by Ryan who, after discussion with us, arranged for an excellent electrician to make safe the electrics in the kitchen, and his team did the remedial work that was needed by the lounge window. We were kept informed on progress during the course of the job , and Ryan responded very quickly to any questions that we had.

We honestly cannot recommend Ryan and his team enough. They previously damp-proofed/plastered our living and dining rooms a few years ago, and they recently came back to do the kitchen prior to us having a new kitchen fitted. Ryan and his team turned up on time every day. The work they did is of an exceptionally high standard and we are over the moon with the finished result. They also cleared up after themselves and left the place really tidy - which was pretty impressive given that plastering can be quite a messy job! Ryan was really understanding when we were let down by our builder, which delayed some of the plastering work he and his team were due to do. He was able to rearrange his own work schedule to come back and finish our job once the building work had been completed, so that it didn't cause any problems for our kitchen being fitted. Ryan and his team are friendly, professional and approachable. They are happy to answer questions and explain things really clearly. Ryan also made it clear that we could contact him if we come across any problems further down the line (which we don't expect we will as the work is top-notch, but it's nice to have the peace of mind!). Ryan communicated in a friendly and professional manner prior to being awarded the job. He quoted a fair price and agreed a date to suit me. He gave clear information with regards to the way the work was to be completed, what I should do prior to his team’s arrival, how much dust to expect, what steps he’d take to minimise the creation of dust and how long the plaster may take to dry. I spent time away from the house while the work was completed; Ryan updated me daily with detailed photos. After completion of the work I returned to find an incredibly clean and tidy house (all things considered). The plastering and joinery was of an exceptionally high standard (I base this opinion on previous trader’s work). Post-completion, Ryan sent all receipts, guarantees etc by email. I would not hesitate to recommend Ryan - he exceeded my expectations and was a pleasure to deal with.

Ryan came to my house to quote for a damp patch repair. He assessed the damage and gave me advice and options which included just doing decorative repairs. Ryan and his team completed a damp proof course along the party wall of my house on schedule and within the price quoted. He was recommended by a good friend, who had had work done by Ryan for him and his family. I found Ryan friendly and communicative. He explained what needed to happen in lay terms, which was very helpful. He also advised me about communicating with my neighbour regarding what impact the work might have on them and about how to help the plaster dry out more quickly and how long to leave it before re-decorating. When the team arrived, Ryan showed me the materials they were using for the damp course. He kept me updated with texts and photos of the work at different stages. The handover (of work and keys) between Ryan’s team and the joiner was seamless and I was very happy with his work too. They replaced my skirting boards with good quality skirting boards which match well with the existing ones. After the work was completed Ryan sent more photos, in which I could see that they’d mopped both my living room floor and the kitchen! Furthermore, one of the neighbours mentioned that they’d seen Ryan’s team even sweeping the pavement/ road outside the house. I know people are often concerned when you’re having work done that nails or other debris may be left outside that might puncture their car tyres, so really appreciated them cleaning up outside, as I’ve just bought a house and am new to the street.

Ryan and his team did an excellent job damp-proofing and re-plastering our ground floor due to rising damp. They were incredibly punctual, hard-working and always cleaned up and tidied throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
