Absolutely fantastic experience with these guys. Communication, reliability, professionalism and workmanship were all second to none. They did a brilliant job on the damp proof, the plastering is excellent and the new skirting is fitted beautifully. What's more, they tidied and cleaned their way out of the house as they left. We had a damp-proof membrane installed. RB Plastering gave a clear diagnosis of what was causing the damp and what needed to be done to rectify it. Ryan and his team were great. I bought a property recently and knew from the survey that there could be some damp around the back door. Ryan came to inspect this, took readings and gave me a comprehensive explanation of why water was penetrating through and what would be needed to rectify this. He also looked at an upstairs wall for me where I have noticed some minimal symptoms of condensation/damp. I went ahead with the downstairs work at this time. The team were punctual, polite and finished the work beautifully and to schedule. Ryan works with a joiner who came the next morning to replace the skirting boards as agreed and achieved a lovely finish. I would definitely recommend RB Damp Proofing to anyone needing damp inspections or work. And would hire Ryan and the team again when I do any further work of this kind.

My rental property was suffering with significant rising and penetrating damp issues. I didn't know where to start to fix the problem but Ryan provided very detailed advice, took the time to fully explain every course of action and the various routes we could take. Ryan and his team fitted a new damp course, penetrating damp treatment and improved ventilation system, along with new skirting boards and solving of some electrical issues along the way. The work ran on time and I was provided with updates and pictures throughout so I knew exactly what was going on. The plastering work is of an excellent standard and the house was left tidy and clean. Happy customer.

All contacts and timelines were kept to, any questions were answered promptly and professionally. The work to my damp wall was carried out in one day, the finish was excellent, all cleaned up before leaving with arrangements made for the joiner to call the day after. We have a property that had a dry rot problem which required the whole of the ground floor to be stripped the problem was so bad. We got 3 contractors to give us a quote, but went with Ryan and his team after doing some research and reading reviews from previous customers and we were not disappointed. Once the work was started we were kept up to date with the progress of the works on a daily basis and the works were completed to a very high standard. Ryan gave us a time frame for the works to be completed and he and his team went above and beyond to ensure this was attained, as we had a tight schedule to adhere to. I cannot recommend this Company enough they went that extra mile for us throughout.

Ryan and his team recently carried out damp proofing repairs to my porch using an impermeable membrane to the walls. They finished off by re-plastering the walls and putting on new skirting boards. I recently bought a house and only after stripping off the wallpaper prior to moving in did I discover extensive damp throughout. Despite being on a tight timescale before I had to move in Ryan managed to fit me in and essentially rebuild my house from the inside damp proofing and plastering a lot of the walls. Ryan and his team were all really tidy and did a brilliant job, even when issues cropped up he got it sorted with no stress and for a really reasonable price. The communication during the job was excellent and he sent me pictures of all the work that was completed each day so I could see the progress. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use again in the future.

Ryan carried out a short survey on my parents’ house which had damp issues. Correspondence with him prior to the survey was very helpful and he arrived promptly as promised. He undertook the survey with professionalism and the results were explained clearly as were his suggested solutions. Ryan came round to give a free quote as promised. After 2 other quotes I decided to go with Ryan as he was very professional & did a thorough check of my property & explained everything clearly to me. Ryan & his team turned up early on the due date & the job was completed on the third day as he stated. As well as fixing the damp walls he also fitted air bricks in the external walls. I can honestly say the job has been completed to a very high standard and they left my property inside and outside clear of all rubble and took it away. Ryan and his team completed a full damp course in my living room. The work was initially delayed because of Covid-19, but once rescheduled everything was done well within the timescale and budget. The work was carried out to a high degree of professionalism and to a very high standard. We couldn't be more pleased. Everything was cleared and swept each night, keeping the mess to a minimum., not an easy feat when plaster is involved. Once the job was finished, invoices and guarantee were sent the following day. Ryan made it clear that if we had any problems we should contact him, and while I don't think this assurance would be necessary, it's nice to know. I would definitely recommend this company.

Project: Replacement of joists, timber floor, damp proofing, plastering work to walls with new external ventilation in a Victorian mid terraced house. From the initial detailed assessment of the work required Ryan was thorough in keeping us accurately and well informed of progress throughout the work programme to completion of the project. Ryan and his team did a fantastic job with damp proofing my dining room and kitchen, replacing the joists and floorboards and replastering the walls. I found Ryan (RB Plastering and Damp-Proofing) via Which? Trusted Traders and asked him to undertake an inspection at my mum's house in Prestwich (Manchester), following a sale falling through due to concerns raised in a buyer's survey. It was a tricky job as I was expecting a lot to need doing, and we couldn't meet in person as the house is currently vacant and I'm helping to sort this out from Sheffield (where I live). At the time of inspection the covid stay at home order was still in effect. His inspection report was clear and his quote for undertaking damp proofing and timber repairs was competitive, hence we were happy to instruct him to undertake the repairs a month later. Ryan completed the work over 5-6 days. Because the house was vacant, Ryan sent numerous photos each day so we could see the progress. He also called to discuss any decisions that might need making around how/whether to move shelving or the fireplace etc. Ryan was professional throughout the inspection and subsequent works. Always calling my mum or me to talk through his findings, what works necessary and what was 'good to have but not urgent'. His customer service was excellent and works completed to a high standard. I would definitely recommend Ryan for similar works in future.

I contacted Ryan at RB Plastering & Damp-Proofing Ltd after I had a problem with a gas fire installation. The surround had detached from the wall and the company that fitted it blamed the issue on damp, I had had 3 wildly differing estimations from local damp proofing businesses ranging up to £3,500 plus £1,250 the fireplace centre wanted to charge to refit. Ryan visited my home to survey the issue and immediately pointed out that damp was not the cause and the surround had come away from the wall due to a poor standard of installation. This helped me to build a case and now the fireplace centre have agreed to refit, properly and safely without charge. I could not have rectified this issue without Ryan's help and his friendly, professional and honest approach has literally saved me thousands of pounds.
