I had some electrical issues in March 2024 and got in touch with RCP following the recommendation from my cousin who had some electrical work done in his house. On the day Stevie did all the necessary checks and was very professional, reliable and trustworthy. I needed to get work done quickly to be able to rent my flat out, and after a bad experience with another electrician, RCP were great. Rob was really clear and reassuring on the phone and came round quickly to look at what needed doing. They ended up saving me hundreds of pounds as some of the work recommended by the previous electrician was actually unnecessary. I have used RCP Installations in the past to install some Halogen downlighters in my lounge and bedroom and found them very efficient, so when my main fuse tripped out on a Friday afternoon I emailed RCP and asked if they could help. Fortunately it was only the utility room which was causing the problem and I had electricity in the rest of the house but RCP sent Steve round on the Monday to check out and resolve the problem in the utility room. Whilst he was there I asked for a quotation to renew the light fittings in my car port and shed and replace a security light, which I accepted and Steve was soon back and quickly fitted the new lights. He did a very neat job, to budget, and as before I was very satisfied with his work. RCP are now my go to electricians for any electrical works I need done.

I had a great experience with RCP from start to finish. The quote was accurate, the timeframe for booking in for the works to be completed was reasonable. The engineer that came to complete the works, was efficient, quick and tidied up after himself. Since moving to the area in February 22, we have used RCP on 3 or 4 occasions. In each case the work has been carried out to our full satisfaction, has been punctual and friendly. This was fairly minor in finding and fixing a fault as well as replacing a couple of light connections. Equally important, we consider it to be good value for money. RCP Installations undertook a condition survey of my home's electrics and undertook the required remedial works, which included a fuse board upgrade. The works were undertaken on the agreed dates and were charged in line with the estimates provided, which were very reasonable. Main points: He arrived early, giving time to organise parking and permit for him He came very fully equipped with test devices He worked continuously for more than 4 hours, turning down tea/coffee we offered. I had been unable to contact several other businesses that I had contact details for. I was pleased that they were available within a timeframe that suited me to do the work that I needed done. The electrician turned up on time on the appointed day and set to work. I needed to have an electrical socket moved prior to having fitted furniture installed. The job was slightly more complicated than I had at first imagined, but that wasn't a problem. The electrician came across to me as being competent and professional, so I felt confident that his work would be of good quality. I contacted RCP Installations to get some work done on my bedroom lights. I needed old light fittings and pull cord switch removed and to create a new central light fixture as well as adding a double plug socket. Rob responded promptly and called back when he said he would to arrange initial visit to give quote for works. The quote was professional and I thought very reasonable. The works were scheduled quickly and Steve who came to do the work on the day made everything seem very simple even though it involved going into the loft. I was very impressed with Steve's work and he insisted on cleaning up after the works. We booked RCP to carry out work for us after having successfully used them a few years ago. When booking, Rob was responsive and enthusiastic about doing the work for us. Rob carried out an electrical safety test for us and identified a number of improvements, some required some suggested, with options. Once we had agreed the scope of work which included the replacement of the fuseboard, his colleague Steve came back a few days later to do the work. The work was carried out neatly and efficiently. Both Rob and Steve were very friendly and easy to have around. On completion, the work area was left clean and tidy. Followup in terms of issuing certification, invoicing etc was prompt and effective. RCP provided great service and we would not hesitate to use them again.

I contacted RCP Electrics on 12th January as we wanted some light fittings installed in our dining and living rooms. We also had a problem where some lights were not working in some rooms downstairs. They sent an Electrician called Steve on 13th January and he was able to install the fittings and sort out the lights that were not working, all within an hour, as agreed. Steve did a great job and we have not had any problems since. They came to our house quickly and were very efficient. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

I used RCP installations to add power for an integrated dishwasher. Rob was extremely professional and provided a quote in advance for the works. Rob was commissioned to swap out about 30 halogen to led ceiling lights, replace wall up-lighters, hang pendants replace dimmers and resolve some circuitry that was behaving weirdly and not working. Steve came around early and completed everything in a day. He was polite, easy to talk to about the job (and was really pleasant but focused). I was impressed with how much he achieved in the time. And he was tidy. He was also diligent with fire regulations, pointing out how one existing light was in too small a space and had previously scorched a ceiling beam. This we agreed should be isolated and not installed. It was not cheap but for me, it was good value as I had imagined maybe two people given the number of small tasks. Rob came to check out our wiring and proved to be professional, informative and honest. We’d booked him for a 2 hour visit and he only needed an hour as he told us at the time. He also informed us of paperwork we should have received from previous work done (not by him) which I chased up and now have.

I have used RCP several times and have always been impressed by their efficient and professional work. On this occasion the problem was a faulty two-way switch, but it wasn't clear to start with where the actual fault was. Just over a year ago they were here to check all the electrics, upgrade certain things, put in a new fuse box and so on and provide a new certificate. We just brought a new flat and needed an EICR and remedial electrical works to be carried out. Steve did a fantastic job and did exactly what we asked for. Amazing work at an incredibly decent price. RCP Installations came in and replaced almost every socket our home. We were running extensions and extra plugs all over as most rooms only had two single sockets. Now we have as many as we need in each room, several with USB charging points in each room. In addition we now have an outside socket, two new light fittings. As our house is old and large getting broadband in the only place that works as a home office was difficult. With a minimum of fuss and incredible speed the electrician put in a cable - this included lifting floorboards and drilling through ceilings. In less than two days an amazing amount of work done. Electrician left things incredible tidy and was a pleasure to have in the house. I totally and whole heartedly recommend RCP Installations. Trustworthy, great value for money and knowledgeable.

RCP Electrics were professional and great to deal with from the outset. My Victorian flat needed a lot of work and Rob and Steve took real care to simply and clearly explain what would be required to meet present day standards (partial rewiring, replacing fuse board, replacing old cables, installing new plug points amongst other things) and check if I had any questions. The job was to renew the thermostat in the immersion. Have used this company a number of times and would certainly recommend them. There are so many electricians out there that do EICRs but finding one that is honest, meticulous, hardworking, efficient, polite, no-nonsense, reasonably priced and a very good communicator is rare. RCP Installations is the one. So if you are reading this, having read a number of other reviews for other electricians on Trusted Trader and are unsure whether to choose them - stop, save yourself some time and call them. You won't be disappointed. I contacted Rob back in July as I need to have an EICR for my flat - I was pretty sure there would be remedial works and I only had a small window of opportunity to have the works completed while the tenants were away. The whole process from initial inspection, diagnosis (of works), remedial works taking place to completion was straight forward. This is due to the excellent communication, flexibility and genuine honesty and interest to help/guide and get the job done. Both Rob and Steve just got on with it as you would expect professionals to, explaining everything as they went along (costs, recommendations, advice - for you to choose with no pressure). So if you are looking for an electrician just use them to save yourself some time, money and stress.

As a landlord I only recently became aware of the new mandatory electrical safety inspection needed for rental properties which came into effect on the 1st July 2020. I had tenants ready to move in, in a few weeks and was really up against it to obtain a landlord domestic EICR (Electrical Inspection Condition Report) and certification. I called Rob Prior at RCP Installations Ltd (found via https://trustedtraders.which.co.uk/businesses/rcp-installations/ with amazing reviews) who thoroughly explained to me what the new regulations meant for me as a landlord and also what was involved in an EICR as I was completely new to this. Rob also understood that I was up against it as I had new tenants about to move in and he managed to fit me in at short notice which I really appreciated. After the thorough inspection was carried out Rob provided me with an NICEIC valid EICR which listed the remedial works that need to be done for compliance, Rob also explained to me that I was not obligated to carry out the works with him and I could chose another contractor if I wished it which I thought was really honest of him to do. I decided to carry out all remedial works with RCP because the pricing was really fair and also I had complete confidence in them from the really professional service I had so far. Contact Rob for a quote for running a supply for a meter relocation. The work was done quickly, efficiently and cleaning. The workmen who attendees were polite and very helpful. At short notice we had to bring forward the switch over date for reconnection and Rob very kindly scheduled us in to make sure we were connected up quickly & not without supply. The price was reasonable and would definitely use them again in the future.

I called out RCP Installations when one of my lighting circuits kept tripping and an electrician friend of mine was unable to find the fault. RCP came promptly and found and rectified the fault quickly. Impressed with their service I asked them for a quote to install some LED spots in my lounge and bedroom ceilings. I was happy with the quote and when the lads came back on the agreed date they carried out the installation with a high degree of skill and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the way they left the bedroom, after lifting the carpet and taking up the flooring to install the spots in the lounge ceiling below, when they relaid the carpet they left the room immaculately as though nothing had ever been touched. Although the job took them a bit longer than they had expected, due to my flooring being nailed down rather than screwed and the complexities of my switchboard, they still cheerfully completed the job carefully and conscientiously leaving everything working perfectly and to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend them as extremely competent workmen who don't cut corners but ensure everything is carried out to the highest possible standards.

I'm very glad we found RCP after a bad experience with another electrician (also listed on Which TT). The team conducted a thorough inspection and identified a number of faults that the previous electrician had overlooked. New fuse board and remedial works were completed in a couple of days, and building compliance paperwork received quickly after. The lads were friendly, hardworking and knew their trade inside out. Slightly more expensive than other quotes we received but worth every penny! I'll certainly be going back to Rob and his team for future electrical works.

After having an initial electrical inspection undertaken by RCP Electrics, I asked them to come back in to rectify some minor faults found on the original inspection and to bring our electrics up to the current electrical standard. I was looking for an electrician & Which Trusted Trader site was my first source. Read the reviews for RCP Installations & noted my area was included in their coverage. I am pleased with the work carried out , the time it took & the price. I would use RCP for any electrical work in the future.

Arrived on time and got on with the work straight away of installing a couple of outside lights and fixing a problem with the power supply to the garage. Gave good advice on another job I was considering having done. I would definitely use this company again.

I would wholeheartedly recommend RCP Installations. I have used them four times over the last few years for additional electric points and TV aerials. They are always friendly, reliable, polite and their work is excellent.

Asked RCP to come round to do an EICR survey of our new property. The two guys came round and did a fantastically quick yet thorough job. The report was sent to me super quick and a follow up was booked equally quickly to do the remedial work. And, when I forgot to buy one of the items I was told to - Rob popped round to install it for free after I told them I had it. RCP are the only electricians we've ever hired as first time homeowners and hopefully the only ones we'll ever use!

Having recently moved in to my property I am experiencing a lot of contractors, it is a joy to find one I would happily have back. I needed a couple of small jobs done and some advice regarding other jobs. Rob arrived when he said and did the job quickly and without fuss. Afterwards, I wondered why I'd been putting off this job for months.

I had a list of Electrical works that were required including a mouse that had unwittingly electrocuted itself in the Fuse box in my shed. Rob Prior of RCP Electrical Installations carefully and efficiently removed the mouse and went as far as helping me bury it in my garden. With the remaining list of works to be done, he efficiently got through everything. I was very pleased with the overall completion of the works. We needed someone to install new LED light fittings and dimmer switches as well as fix lighting that was no longer working. We were very pleased to have Robert Prior doing the job. We had a problem with no lighting on the first floor and no power downstairs. We agreed a time for Rob to visit and he arrived on time and explained clearly what he would do and what the charges might be. Rob then began to check all the circuits and, after about an hour, tracked the problem to a junction box in the loft. A few repairs later and all electrics were restored. We have used RCP before and have always had good and reliable service. Rob and his team are very experienced and professional, whilst being personable and hardworking, and we will continue to call them for any electrical work needed in the future. I phoned Rob at RCB as the oven in my newly refurbished flat was not switching on and I felt the quote I had received from another electrician was too much. Rob was completely up front about the cost of a call out and that he couldn't quote without seeing the oven. He then talked me through checking the wiring on the phone free of charge and I managed to fix the problem with his help in under 10 minutes! Amazing service and I am really grateful for your time, personal service and serious money saved.

Rob's team changed our troublesome halogen ceiling lights in the kitchen and bathroom to LED units. Rob was very good to deal with: prompt, straightforward and clear quote, fair price, and the job done on the date he promised. Standard of work was very good - clean and tidy throughout and nice people doing the work. Would definitely use RCP Installations again.

Rob was easy to contact and gave a quick quote and date for the works to be undertaken. Rob's men, Steve and Dan, are a great team; professional and friendly. During the first phase of the project they rewired the main house quickly and efficiently and came back when the extension was built to install the electrics in the new build area. We are very happy with the work they have completed and always felt confident that they had our best interests at heart; all our questions received an intelligent reply and their advice was always sound, based on professional knowledge and experience. The work was Part P certified and registered with the Council in accordance with the procedure; all the documentation provided was carefully and neatly completed and based on thorough and careful testing of the whole new system. We have no hesitation in recommending RCP installations to whom we are most grateful and will always use them in future.

Honest and reliable tradesmen aren't easy for find. Here's one of them. I needed a new plug socket, along with an electric fire installation, and an RDC safety device fitted. Rob and his team provided an excellent service at a fair price. I'd highly recommend.

I had known Rob through work in the past and so called him when a so called friend overcharged me to replace a fuse box and left the job half done. Rob came to the rescue and got his guys Steve and Daniel to do the job properly. They went through all the sockets and fittings and we now have a old house with electrics we know are safe and certified. They could not be more helpful, putting extra sockets in where we wanted. They did their work to a good standard and left the place clean and tidy. They were a pleasure to have working around the house. I would recommend Rob and his team in an instance for any electrical work. You know the job is being done to the highest standard for the best price. use a cowboy and it will just cost you more in the long term.

These guys are great, Rob runs the show, and has clearly cloned Steve and Dan, who carried out most of the work at our property . I needed a re wire after 60 years and had all sorts of hogwash from estimators and finally found the A team a team who I felt i could put my trust in. They came to the property and carried out a condition survey which meant i only had to have the work done which was really required, and to the standards actually required by the regulations..they tested the loadings on the circuits and looked after all the technical details while consulting on where the extra sockets etc needed to go. They were fast and efficient in providing the estimate. I can honestly say that nothing you will present them with is a problem and they take all the struggle out of getting things done, into the bargain they are a courteous crew....value for money ...highly recommended. Thanks lads
