Over the weekend (2-3 July) we were having problems with the house electrics and on Sunday we texted Andy (conscious that this was a Sunday) and even though just having returned from holiday Andy came round the next day - after testing every circuit it came down to the boiler. During the week our plumber came round to check the boiler together with Andy's colleague, Teo to check on the electrical side - Turned out it was the boiler that was the problem and as a btw, wasn't economical to fix so we now have a new one arriving next week. Meantime we decided to upgrade our fuse box (the old one - and was only 3 yrs old but was of an old style) - Anyhow the new box arrived a week later and Andy was back to install. While he was here Andy replaced some strip lighting under our kitchen units and also tracked down a faulty extension lead and fitted a timer to the immersion heater (as a backup - as leaving it 'on' can cost lots... as we discovered....) Everything electrical now working as it should. All work was on time - in fact quicker than we anticipated and as per estimate. Always very neat, tidy and on time. Redwood Electrical are first class and thoroughly recommendable. From our experience as a customer you are always looked after. Can highly recommend, service 2nd to none.

I found Redwood Electrical Services on the NICEIC website, so I knew from the outset that Andy was well qualified and competent. He fitted a new metal consumer unit to conform to the best practice and relocated it to a more convenient position where we could reach it easily. He subsequently tested the whole electrical system thoroughly to ensure it was all working properly and was safe. He was extremely diligent. His quote included a detailed explanation of the work to be carried out, and I thought his rates were extremely good too.

I have used Redwood Electrical Services numerous times. Andy (and Teo) are a pleasure to work with. Their expertise and advice has been second to none in getting projects completed on time, with a standard of work that is always excellent. They are reliable, punctual (and very tidy) workers and will always go the extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied. We now have the kitchen we wanted and a consumer unit that is future-proofed for further projects at the house. I was recommended Redwood to get a quote for rewiring the whole house including new fuse board, moving lights and trebling the amount of sockets. When Andy and Teo came round to quote I was confident that they were more than capable of doing the job, they spent time working out the best way to complete the work. They gave a competitive quote and after acceptting we arranged a date.They carried out the work on the agreed dates in a very professional manner and cleaned up after themselves. Very pleased with the completed job and the price on the original quote didn't change. Would definitely recommend.

We suffered an electrical fire in the outside power supply room on a Saturday morning, knocking out our power and burning out the supply cabling and meter. These were reinstated by SSE and EON on emergency call out but it was also necessary to call an electrician to reconnect everything. I was recommended by a friend to call Redwood who responded immediately despite it being a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately he established that the isolator switch box had also been terminally compromised so it was not possible to reconnect us immediately. However, he was able to source an alternative unit and return early the following week to reconnect us. This was not straightforward as new mountings had to be constructed and the weather conditions were atrocious. However, everything was done in a cheerful and confident manner. We are extremely grateful to him for all of this, not least for dropping everything on a Saturday afternoon to come round. Top marks!

Andy very kindly installed the required electrics into my garden workshop, which included a fuse box, wiring, installation of lights and sockets and a receiver for remote lighting from the house along with a light change and fitting of external socket on the house. Our house electrics were also modified to allow the provision for the additional garden electrics. Andy gave us a sound estimate for the work and this was agreed and adhered to with no extras. The work was methodical, not rushed and very neat. I would have no hesitation about recommending Andy for any electrical work, and will definitely use him as my first port of call if any electrical work should be required again. Fantastic service.

We were very fortunate to find Andy via Trusted Traders. He removed an outdated consumer unit and installed an upgraded version in a new location along with downlights in two bathrooms and changed a number of our light fittings to Class2 and installed three smoke alarms. All of this work was carried out to the highest standards and nothing was too much trouble for him. Andy was a pleasure to deal with, extremely helpful throughout and a very good communicator. He spent a week doing our electrical work and I cannot speak too highly of his work ethic and his professional standards. Andy was recommended by the fitter who installed our new kitchen. The electrical work involved replacing the lighting, installing two ovens and a new hob and replacing our old consumer unit with an upgraded version. All of the work was carried out to a very high standard and it was a pleasure to deal with Andy throughout. There were a couple of occasions on which it was necessary for him to work long hours to get the job done on time and he did that without any problem. There were issues with final testing which arose from our existing wiring and Andy and his colleague did a great job of detective work in running those issues down with minimal disruption. I have to give a seriously good review regarding Andy of Redwood Electricals. After contacting other electricians on Trusted Traders it was disappointing to find that at least 3 did not respond or turn up. Andy turned up at the promised time and returned the next day to finish the work to an excellent standard. I needed my bt socket moved to another location and a double socket added to another room and a light fitting installed. If anyone is contemplating installing electrics for charging electric/hybrid cars I would recommend you contact Andy. He is extremely knowledgeable in this area as he is with all other aspects regarding electrical installations. Andy has yet to send me his invoice but I feel confident it will be as per his original quotation.

We undertook a full Kitchen re-fit and everything including the ceiling revealed a wiring shambles. Andy from Redwood Electrical came in (on a very good recommendation) and assessed the situation, provided lighting options to complement the new Kitchen and was very open and honest about the cost. It was a sizable electrical job, estimated at 5 to 6 days covering a great deal of work. A lot of new appliances, all new lighting, some garage work (I moved the boiler, washing machine and Spin Driver to the garage) some outdoor stuff and not to forget a new RCBO. This was a large project, as it was not just a new kitchen but also a new kitchen bi-fold install, and incorporated a utility room into the kitchen. Fortunately, Andy was very flexible in being able to spread his time as the electrical work needed to be spread over a few weeks. Communication, timing and his professional approach were excellent. The cost came in on budget, even though we added some extra small bits during the project. I would have no hesitation in recommending Andy, and will certainly use his service again in future.
