My wife and I have used RGM Decorating, a family firm for all our house’s internal painting and decorating in the past. The firm has just completed the complete outside decoration of our house and we are delighted with the result. Russell and his son completed the job on time and to budget but were keen to fill in and repair any ‘rot’ in our woodwork prior to painting….no corners were cut! We would have no hesitation in recommending RGM to any potential customer…their work is first class!

We decided to give RGM the work of painting the exterior of our grade 2 listed former vicarage because of their excellent reviews. Then Russ’s professional, knowledgeable and thorough approach when quoting for the business gave us the confidence to place the work with him. His small team of three including Rick and Luke all worked to the highest possible standard. There was some quite complex repair work required too as the job progressed which Russ dealt with commendable attention to detail. We are delighted with the quality of the work and the house looks wonderful. They left the house very tidy every evening and we hardly knew they were there. All the work that RGM carry out is made to last. Invoicing was detailed and accurate too. In summary, if you want the best possible job doing then look no further than Russ and RGM Decorating. We will certainly be using them again.

RGM Decorating carried out complete external redecoration works on our Edwardian property: woodwork- including windows/doors, fascias and soffits; masonry and render; rainwater goods. Managed effectively and efficiently by Russ, he and his team (Luke and Rick) did an excellent and very professional job. Russ kept us informed and updated at all times and the team were polite and just got on with the job quietly, diligently and with real attention to detail, keeping the front and back garden clean and tidy, with tools and ladders secure. Though we redecorate every five years, we had not appreciated the deterioration of some of our timber windows which may have lacked the required preparation work in the past. RGM spent the necessary time - prior to redecorating - repairing, in addition to filling and preparing. Though this ultimately added to the costs, we believe in the longer term it is money well spent and will ensure the fabric of the property is maintained. We are carrying out internal building works soon and have asked RGM to quote for internal decorations which will follow. We would have no hesitation recommending Russ and his brilliant team!

RGM did an amazing job re-decorating (Painting, wallpapering) our lounge, dining room, Hall and landing. From the moment I first contacted RGM, Russ was courteous, professional and attentive. Their standard of work is meticulous; after they stripped the old wallpaper they thoroughly prepared and smoothed the walls before putting up the lining paper then the new wallpaper. Russ’s wallpapering skills are second-to-none, every cut is precise. The finished result is beautiful. Russ and his team, Luke and Rick went above and beyond and they tidied up and vacuumed after every day. I wholeheartedly recommend RGM. As an added bonus, Bruno, my Labrador loved Russ to bits!

We recently asked RGM to decorate our living room, master bedroom and en-suite, and we have been so pleased with their work. They were very professional and the quality of their work is outstanding. They worked neatly and efficiently, and the job was completed on time. We would not hesitate to recommend RGM, and we will definitely be using them again. Our only regret is that we didn’t find them sooner!

When we decided to get proper contactor in to re-decorate our home it was with some trepidation as to who to ask. Having used the Which Trustedtrader site before we asked three contractors to quote. RGM Decorating were not the lowest to price up what we wanted done but they said they could keep to a shorter timescale. Having said that, the cost was not as much as we thought it would be. The work started on time with Russ and two assistants. They worked with us so there was minimal disruption to our lives. The preparation to all surfaces was very thorough and great care was taken to give us a really splendid final finish. They turned up on time and worked through the day. We were given updates every date as to progress/timescales and who would be attending to do which areas. Total time was 7 working days. Everything left clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending RGM to anyone who is looking for a first class painter and decorator. Stress free customer.
