Double plug socket problem. I thought that the appliance plugged in was the problem since it gave a flash and bang as it tripped the fuses. Phoned and since this socket wasn't in use booked for a few days later. Patrick phoned day before to double check symptoms and asked some questions which led him to believe it was the socket that needed changing. He had done some work for me 2 or 3 years ago and he remembered the style (Georgian brass). When he came next day the problem was indeed the socket and he had brought a replacement with him in the van. So fitted and all sorted with one trip. He also thought that the appliance would still be fine so we checked and it was (I was going to buy replacement).

We have used Richmond Services for many years and have always been impressed by the quality, workmanship, professionalism and fair cost. We have no hesitation in recommending them. Brilliant.

Finding someone to do some electrical work in our living room recently has been a very frustrating experience now that our normal electrician has retired. Most are very busy and can't be bothered or are very poor communicators. My hearing is poor and I have difficulty with phones so it is important to me that I deal with someone who doesn't totally depend on the phone. Enter Richmond Services who did an estimate on the day I contacted them and finished the work yesterday (at a good price) less than a month later. I was impressed by Patrick when he did the estimate and the work he did yesterday was good. I am very pleased and will definitely use him again. Communication by email and their customer service has been excellent throughout. So from my perspective no downsides and I would heartily recommend them to anyone who wants a professional job done.

The services were excellent throughout. Initial contact was informative, Patrick came to visit on time, was professional and knowledgeable, and followed up shortly with quote. On the day the same again - it was a pleasure to have Patrick completing the work and he explained clearly what had been done and helped explain how to resolve some smaller issues which we found on the way. The works all have been carried out to a high standard. We are waiting for completion of one item on the guttering where the supplied parts to Richmond Services were not a correct fit for the brand of guttering we have. Overall very happy and will certainly be using Richmond Services again.

I called Patrick to attend to a problem my ninety three year old mother had with her cooker electrics. Despite having a packed personal and work diary, he arrived the next day and solved the problem in a few minutes. My mother was unable to cook anything hot without her cooker. When I queried where the invoice was, Patrick told me that it was such a tiny adjustment, there would be no charge. I have used Richmond on several occasions for different electrical problems at my mother's house and could not recommend anyone more highly.

Have used Patrick in the past and found him excellent. Wanted an EV charger installed for new car. Car manufacturer offered one for a discounted price as part of the new car package. However reviews of their chosen supplier and the third party installation process pretty average. So sought quote from Patrick. Not as cheap but he recommended a different charger and made some suggestions about location, fuses, etc. The quality and reliability of his suggestions far outweighed the cheaper option. Being local I know that if anything does go wrong he will be round like a shot as he really cares about his reputation.

Have used this company twice and have found them to be very helpful and efficient.. In both instances they were prompt to respond and the work completed to a high standard. They gave sensible quotations for each job. I shall certainly be using them again!

Took out our old fridge and replaced with built in cupboard. As always prompt and efficient service. Have also had gutter work and toilet repairs. Can thoroughly recommend.

Our initial contact was with Tracy who promptly organised an appointment for a quote. Patrick arrived as per appointment and was very friendly and helpful. The quote was competitive and we accepted. On the scheduled date, Patrick arrived and quickly set to work installing a double socket and concealed cabling. The job was done efficiently and neatly. Patrick has been my family’s trusted electrician since before I was born and always completes work with the highest quality and attention. He recently replaced my fuse box which was antiquated and attached to a board that had been completely rotten, and his knowledge of these old systems of wiring are invaluable when carrying out this sort of work - my house is around 200 years old so there is a good deal of redundant wiring that is difficult to identify the source of. However Patrick was able to solve many of these mysteries due to his understanding of these older practices and made the necessary changes to ensure the circuits are now safe, secure, and up to the high modern standard. Patrick came at short notice to move a socket for us ahead of new wardrobes being fitted. While on-site he also straightened up another socket which had been annoying us and swapped over a light switch to a flush-mounted one. This was the second time Patrick had carried out work for us and we were not disappointed as the same high standards prevailed as on the much larger first job. Thank you Richmond Services.

We had some issues wiring in our new electric hob. After numerous calls to different Electricians, Patrick agreed to visit within a week but last minute availability left him able to attend the same day. He identified the problem very quickly and rectified the issue in one visit. Patrick was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. His speedy response and quality of work was very much appreciated.

We asked Patrick to move a couple of light fittings in our dining room and also replace them with some we brought with us from our old house. This was done exactly as requested and the old holes filled and left for us to paint over with no mess. We are really please with the lights and with the service we received. It was exactly what you want, professional but friendly, not a rip off and done exactly when he said it would be. Will be using this electrician again as and when needed.

I have used Richmond Services several times before. Patrick is my go-to electrician and I have every confidence in his work. On this occasion he was installing additional lights in 3 rooms of the house. It was a full days work and he did it entirely to my satisfaction. I was pleased with the quality of the work and the price I had to pay. Nothing more to add really and I would unreservedly recommend him to anyone.

We recently had an EV charger installed and some other smaller jobs completed by Patrick. From quote, to booking in the works, to completion was all very organised and smooth and the works completed in a really tidy and efficient manner. Richmond services carried out a full electrical installation inspection and subsequently fitted a new consumer unit (fuse box). All work was done efficiently and professionally and, unlike with some traders, no attempt was made to sell me services that were not necessary. I have found Richmond services to be extremely trustworthy and excellent value for money. As such I would highly recommend.
