I found Russell from Which and am so glad I did. I have now used his services 3 times with each job getting bigger and bigger. 1. I had a leak from a new extension in my house and he immediately new where the issue was( the chimney top cover and lead installed by my builders). We fixed a time/agreed a price and job was very well done. What I liked is that he said he would re-use the existing lead to fix the issue where other roofers wanted to charge me more and said the existing lead was unusable. (2014) 2. My dad has a couple of property and both had leaks- he fixed both very quickly and efficiently. One needed scaffolding which he got installed and taken away on the same day. Great job and glad to say we have no issues (he did this at the beginning of 2015) 3. We have just moved house and needed stacks removed, then we decided that we wil have the roof replaced instead. Russell and his team had my complete stacks removed (3 story house) inside and out, and placed a new roof on in 5 days with a rain day included. He ensured that the place was tidy by putting plastic sheets down and made the place clean before leaving. Scaffolding removed, all rubbish removed- sent me pictures off the progress and called me every evening to let me know the plans and finish date. Great professional service and and honest roofer that you know will honour the agreement in place. Never asked me for money until job was done - sign of a good tradesmen. I also know he does a lot of work in dulwich - search his company in the east dulwich forum for more info like I did- one thing is that he is very very busy so sometimes can be difficult to get hold off but worth the wait!!! I had leak from the recent storms in the roof coming in through the ceiling. Russell assessed the issue and resolved in a timely manner. However it did not completely fix the issue and he offered to fix what he deemed to the the outstanding issue. After several chasers and no-shows, I finally gave up on him. I let him know how disappointed I was as he had left us waiting for appointments where he didn't turn up. He assured me that would on our final meeting, even calling to say that he would be late, but still did not show. I will not be dealing with him in the future.

During the heavy rain of last year, we had a serious leak over our bay window. Russell came promptly and provided a quote the work in question. Several issues were identified when we surveyed the property and I asked Russell to price this in. This included repointing our chimney stack and the front of the property. Russell provided a quote with a full breakdown. His team worked promptly and quickly without mess or noise. I would thoroughly recommend his work.

We called in Russel at very short notice to look at a roof leak we were experiencing. Despite previous attempts to solve the intermittent problem, we were unable to successfully identify what the cause was. Russel was very quick to respond after the situation suddenly became worse. Having gone up onto the roof, he was confident he could resolve the problem by improving the guttering and sealing a crack which had developed elsewhere.He returned the following day and he and his team completed the work within the hour. Whilst he was confident that he had solved the problem, he told us to call him again if it did not. That was in the Summer and we have experienced no recurrence of the problem despite some very heavy rain since then.

I used Russell after reading positive reviews on Which?Local. I had to wait quite a while for him to be available as he had lots of bookings-one of the downsides of a good tradesman-but the work he did was excellent. He explained the problem and solution thoroughly, taking photos on his phone to show before and after shots. He and his men worked considerately and left the site tidy. I would definitely use Russell again and highly recommend him.

I asked Russell (among others) to quote for replacing a flat double garage roof. His price was competitive and his demeanour was warm, friendly and helpful. Due to other work commitments it took a few weeks to get started but once here he and his team who were also a very friendly bunch knuckled down and completed the job in 4 days despite some dodgy weather. Everything was cleared away and tidied and although there were a few extras in skip hire and new ridge tiles his final bill was as previously quoted. A couple of problems encountered were dealt with swiftly and without fuss and all in all it was a job well done. Never at any time did he waver from being the friendly, efficient, caring tradesman I encountered when I first spoke to him and I have no hesitation recommending him.

I have reviewed this business in the past, but only for a small job (which was brilliantly done). I wanted to add to the review as Russell and his team have just completed work on the pitched roof of my extension. This guy really knows what he is doing. He fitted my roof windows, tiles and everything else as well as giving me very useful advise and organising delivery of all the materials. A likeable guy who really takes pride in his work. I am delighted with the job.

Russell replaced our flat roof on a Sunday, price excellent, work excellent, took pride in his work which was faultless. 5 star price 10 star work.

Russell did a great job fitting lead flashing and torch-on felt system to a flat roof on a 'storm porch' over my front door. He is a friendly bloke and very knowledgeable. He explained what he thought was the best way to go about the job and gave me a fair price. He returned as agreed after a few days to do the work. I must admit, roofing isn't an area of the building trade I am very familiar with but based on his which?local reviews and after meeting him, I put my trust in him. His work was of a very high standard, and very neat and tidy. He even called a day or two afterwards to make sure I was a happy customer. I would definitely recommend him, and also use him again in the future.

Russell removed a loose ridge tile and 2 corner tiles; replaced the ridge tile and cut 2 new tiles quickly and efficiently, at a very good price. He was prompt in attendance and very polite, and explained the problem concisely.

Russell himself dealt with my problem, a worn and leaking parapet roof(3mx2m).He was very enthusiastic and explained in detail what he would do and with what materials. He did the job on a saturday with me around to view progress. This was only a small job for his company but left me feeling very confident in his work. Since my roof was fixed he has done an identical job for my close neighbour.

RJP replaced a valley roof's box gutter, re-pointed and rendered brick work, re-covered a flat extension roof and installed loft insulation. Russell takes pride in his work and the product was excellent. He is also positive, resourceful and energetic. He is plainly anxious for his roofing business to succeed, and sees the route to success through providing a high quality service at a fair price.
