I was aware that I had a couple of minor leaks in my roof so I contacted a couple of roofers for quotes. One of the leaks was by the rear chimney stack and one of the roofers suggested this needed to be replaced along with the valley. He estimated £7k. Fortunately I then turned to Which and contacted Russell by email (it was a Saturday so I didn't want to ring if he wasn't working). He rang me within 2 hours and was round 30 minutes after that. After a careful examination he gave me a very full assessment of the leaks and the general state of the roof showing numerous photographs. He suggested there was a couple of hours work with repointing and rewedging. This was done within a fortnight for less than £500 and I can confirm that the leaks are both fixed. I was very impressed by Russell's honesty, hard work and professionalism. He was very easy to deal with and full of good humour. I would recommend him without hesitation and will definitely use him again if the occasion arises.

I wanted to replace some wooden decking with composite. Russell recommended I had it done in 5 mtr lengths rather than having joins, to prevent any potential lifting in the future. I tried & these weren't easy to find but he found the perfect boards. He also fixed them with the clips you can't see. When the boards came off the joists were rotten but he quickly sourced all the wood. He, Dan & Lee worked so hard into the dark to get it done as he was due ro go on hols the next day. Despite that they came back & finished off, & even fixed some guttering & cleared a blockage too. The end result is perfect. I've used Russell & Dan previously for my new roof & cladding, & after encountering some awful tradesmen, I would never use any other builder other than Russell. Truly professional, well priced, do a perfect job & are great guys who go out their way to help.

We needed one flank of a roof replaced on our Grade II listed property. Russell replaced the existing old slates with Welsh slates in compliance with the listing requirements. He did the work swiftly and well, giving us the opportunity to climb the scaffolding to inspect at close hand. He also arranged for the scaffolding to remain in place so that we could use it to have the exterior repainted immediately afterwards. The cost was very reasonable and I would recommend him for the quality of his work and for his good understanding and suggestions in relation to what is needed.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work that Russell and Dan carried out. I had a new slate roof, chimney re-pointed and the exterior of my house done. The price was really good and Russell's workmanship is second to none. He is so precise with everything and if he doesn't think something looks quite right he corrects it, even though to anyone else it looks fine. I love it and can't stop going outside to look at my house. I've had lots of compliments about it too. Russell is clean, tidy, cleared all the rubbish and hosed down everywhere. Nothing was too much trouble. Russell, Dan and the rest of his team were such friendly and professional guys. I usually hate having tradespeople in but they were a pleasure to have around. I shall be booking Russell early next year for another couple of jobs.

Russell and his team replaced the roof of a 3 storeys terraced house (4 beds) located in Belvedere. The roof was over 65 years old. They have done an amazing job by replacing the entire roof in 2 days. They saved me from a water leak and long term issues.

It was a small job for them, did it on the spot, were courteous, their priority was to get this job done for me. Great price. Would recommend

I found Russell via the Brockley traders forum and have been extremely happy with his job. He replaced most of the roof on my Victorian house in pretty much 5 days. Straight after he finished we had snow in London and so his work was tested successfully. Very polite and prompt, He has tons of knowledge and would give you the best possible option should there be a problem. Most importantly he is a no nonsense person who gets on with his work in the most efficient and effective way. He also pointed out a few bits that needed doing even though this wasn't part of the quote. I am very happy with him and can't recommend him high enough.
