The problem was a minor leak from the roof during heavy rain. The cause was identified quickly. The necessary valley overhaul was carried out speedily and to the agreed quotation. I have known and come to appreciate the quality of the work done by R.F. Mummery over several years. Robert Mummery is particularly well acquainted and experienced with properties and their roofs in this area. His staff are well trained and helpful.

This was a relatively minor job but the company was still willing to carry out the work for a reasonable price. The team arrived at the appointed time and completed the task with no problems. They were very polite and left the site very clean and tidy when they departed. I have no hesitation in recmmending this company to other people.

The original quote was for the repair of a leaking flat roof but with the contingency for more work than was obvious from the initial surface inspection. Removal of the roof over the leak revealed rotting timber joists and poor workmanship from earlier roof repairs (it was a fibre glass roof with a later application of desmopol liquid polyurethane membrane, neither of which provided protection from leaks). The repair entailed removing the existing roof, replacing several joists and fitting arris rails before renewing all the roof boards and then fitting a three layer torch on system. Effectively this was a new roof. This work was completed to a very high standard by the team, including working to 7pm on a Friday night to ensure the roof was water proof over a weekend. I was very impressed by the quality of the workmanship and the way the team went about their tasks. I have added Robert Mummery Roofing to my own list of trusted and recommended suppliers.

Robert and crew came to renew a flat roof on our building and also upgraded some previous work which had not been done satisfactorily. They worked 2 long days in order to get the job done and handled all challenges with positivity and humour.
