Come to fit a roof vent for a new bathroom fan we had installed and it took no time at all and from asking for it be fitted and then coming to do it was only just over a week. I’ve used Roof Busters for work on a couple of properties we’ve owned. Moving to a new property, we spotted a few roofing issues and called in Matthew for a quote. He turned when promised to complete the assessment, spotted the root cause of the issues which included shoddy work the previous owners had paid another company a significant sum of money for. Matthew’s quote arrived a couple of days later and detailed all the work needed. Matthew and his team turned up on the scheduled day, fitted a dry ridge line system, sorted leaks around the flashing, fitted two new chimney pots and cowls, and resolved the work the other company had botched. They completed the work in the day, and left the site in a clean and tidy state. All the guys were courteous and polite while they were on site. Can’t fault the team, and happy to recommend them to family and neighbours.

Used this firm to replace all facias at front of house which is Victorian so fiddly job. Got fair detailed quote, turned up when they said, pleasure to have on the property. Really impressed with the attention to detail and the finishing off of the job. Looks tremendous

Matt previously carried out some patchwork on my property, following some poor-quality work from another trader I found on Checkatrade (the review I posted on 06/10/2022 for work completed on 12/09/2022). I since contacted Matt again to arrange the full repair/rework of the roof. A full quote was provided up front for all scaffolding and roof repairs, and the work was scheduled and completed very quickly, and to a high standard, while keeping me updated with the progress throughout.

With Matt and the team they are honest, hard working and really polite. The original request, and subsequent quote, was handled promptly and politely. The task itself was completed promptly and typically professionally by Matt's excellent team. The standard of work was excellent too. I was very impressed indeed with Roof Busters, not only with the high quality of their work but also the helpfulness and hard work of the staff themselves. They worked like beavers to complete a whole new roof, including fascia boards, soffits, guttering, drainpipes, and lowering my chimney and pointing the lower half, and did it all in three working days. With two leaks in my flat roof, and it being a couple of days before Christmas, I phoned Roofbusters for help to see if they could take a look and make any recommendations. Despite being finished for the day, Matthew came round within 20 minutes and went onto the roof to see what he could do. He was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Not only did Matt respond almost immediately, arranging to visit my property that same morning, on inspecting the problem, he sorted it there and then. I had work completed by another company prior to this, who did the job to a poor standard, and then stopped responding when tiles fell from the roof, damaging my car in the process. I contacted Matt via Checkatrade to quote getting the original work re done properly, but also to cost out getting some patch work done to replace the fallen tiles. Matt was very helpful through this process, provided a clear, costed quote for both levels of work, and the work was then completed very quickly after I accepted the quote. Would definitely recommend.

We had a pretty big leak during one of the heavy thunderstorms in September 2022. Contacted a couple of places but Roof Busters were able to respond immediately (about an hour!) for a very reasonable fee. They fixed the problem temporarily but returned the following day (during the dry and in daylight) to quote for a proper repair and a bigger refurbishment. We aren't able to go for the full refurb at the moment, so they came back a couple of days later and completed the repair. Matt kept us informed and explained the issues throughout the process, and I would have no hesitation using Roof Busters again, and also if we ever get to the stage where we can afford the full refurb.

Had a leaking roof gulley so, on a neighbour's recommendation, called Roof Busters. Spoke to Matthew and agreed date for a site visit for him to evaluate the problem and prepare an estimate. Matthew arrived as agreed and undertook a thorough evaluation of the problem, including removing tiles to facilitate a full inspection. Tiles were replaced, leaving the roof in the same condition as before Matthew arrived. Matthew provided a full explanation of what was wrong and what was needed to rectify the problem. He also provided a fixed price estimate. As the estimate was acceptable, a time and date was agreed for the work to be undertaken. The crew arrived as agreed and the work was completed. Roof Busters were, in all respects, professional in their dealings with me and in their approach to the work. In addition, they are nice people, which is always an important consideration.

We had a leak coming into our house from old damaged roof felt. Upon calling Matt was very courteous and came out within a couple of hours. He found the problem straight away and explained clearly what needed to be done to rectify it. Although they were very busy, he managed to get his crew out to us within three days. Derek and Steve were amazing, very friendly and went above and beyond for us, installing, insulation in the cavities for us whilst the roof was off. I contacted Roof Busters by email for a quotation for cleaning my roof, which had a heavy growth of moss. Matthew contacted me promptly and arranged to visit within a few days. He sent me a written quotation as promised the same night. His quotation was very competitive. The work was undertaken within two weeks. The team of three men arrived at the designated time, 8am, and they worked diligently throughout the day in temperatures in the low 30 degrees. They stopped only for a short lunch break. They were polite, well-mannered and very tidy. The roof looked almost like new when they had finished. I was very pleased with this company, their work ethos and standards. I had real trepidation about finding a roofer. The ones that bothered to come out to quote did the "well what you really need is..." thing and scribbled a figure down, or promised to email a quote and didn't. Not this company though. Matthew arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, and took time to explain, with passion. A proper quote, and more importantly properly quoted options, in writing. Roof Busters got the job. The scaffolding went up a few days before (done by a different company. ) The team arrived on time, they got on with the job, hardly stopping, and they completed removing all the tiles, lining the roof space and the refurbishment of the chimney, plus did some extra unquoted work just charging for the goods in the 3 days quoted. The Scaffolders broke a lot of tiles removing the scaffolding on the following Saturday, I contacted Roof Buster's at 3pm, they arrived at 10 am Sunday to repair the damage, which took nearly all day. An amazing service, can't recommend them enough. Big thankyou to the team.

We have used Matthew and his team in the past and knew he was the first person to call about roof tiles which had slipped and needed dealing with quickly. We selected Matt and his team (Roofbusters) for our house re-roofing because they came highly recommended and the quotation took into account all of our concerns and requirements. It was clearly prepared by a company with excellent roofing knowledge and experience. The project was the main house re-roofing (tiles, membrane, battens, facia, soffits, gutters, and associated lead work), a large adjoining pitched porch roof and garage roof, and a hipped lower level kitchen roof – all tiled. The main house roof required the scaffolding to clear span 10m over a conservatory roof. The conservatory roof cannot be walked on, or take any load from the scaffolding. This was done without difficulty and without damaging the conservatory roof. The work was done in December, with the team checking local weather forecasts and only stripping and re-roofing roof sections as the weather permitted. On days with a forecast of rain then no work was undertaken. We did not get rain on any section of unprotected roof. We dust sheeted over the contents of the loft and only a small amount of dirt/debris entered the lofts, the team being careful to sweep off the roof before removing the felt. The job was completed quickly and the team cleared all the debris away and left everything neat and tidy. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and the way that it was done, the consideration Matt gave to our requirements, and the way our property was treated. Highly recommended!

Roof busters came to my house to look at and give advice about my roof. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful and his advice was extremely useful.

Following the completion of works, we noticed water ingression dripping inside the garage. We called Roof Busters who subsequently visited, said it was condensation from using the tumble dryer. The leak appears to be getting worse so we called Roof Busters again, they said there is no leak, but will come out again and when they show there is no leak they will charge us £70 for a callout.

Matt and his team changed/ added to the guttering to take water away from a flat roof - great job again! (previously rebuilt pitched roof after bodged job from another roofer). Highly recommend - professional and prompt.

Excellent! Excellent! We had an unexpected leak in out flat roof, Roof Busters were recommended by another builder we had used in the past and they came to take a look for us in less than a day. They had a lot of work but were able to fit us in after making some temporary repairs for which they did not charge. They came back in less than two weeks and it was all done very well within a day, very pleased and the and the boss and two guys that did the work were very helpful, tidy and got on with it all No Problem. I called Roof Busters when a heavy downpour made me think one of our gutters was leaking. Mathew from Roof Busters proved to be very polite and efficient. He quickly discovered that part of the gutter was completely blocked with debris which he dug out free of charge as it was such a small job. I am very impressed with the service Mathew provided.

My parents who are quite elderly were concerned about the condition of a large expanse of flat roof on their property that has been down for at least 15 years. I found some contacts from Which Trusted Traders and my father rang Roof Busters who came out to inspect the roof promptly. Both my parents were impressed with the gentleman that came out as he was knowledgeable, polite, pleasant and professional. He inspected the roof thoroughly and declared that it was in good condition and there was no need for any work to be done which put my parent's minds at rest. It was last year when I had Roof Busters come and do a repair on my roof. I thought I would wait and see how robust the repair was as I have had the same problem for years and years. Many roofers have had a go at the leak I was so fed up. Well since Roof Busters did the repair I have had no trouble with it at all. Mathew is an impressive workman and clearly knows what he is doing. Communication was very good up to the job starting and he and his men arrived with all that was needed to do the job, no disappearing to buy stuff. Mathew worked efficiently and quickly. Derek's clean up was simply amazing. I would recommend them.

I noticed water penetration inside my garage wall which I suspected was coming from the gutter so contacted Roof Busters. This gutter had been re-pointed 18 months previously by another roofer. Matthew Prince came to inspect it and decided that the design of the original gutter was inadequate due to the difference in pitch between the two roofs it was serving. There was also evidence of rainwater being driven under the tiling as this roof is exposed to side winds. He agreed to give me a quote to simply replace the gutter and another to strip the roof, replace the linings and battening, and add additional tiles. I agreed to the latter solution. Matthew has done work for me before replacing fascias, flashings etc. He and his assistant roofer Derek work to a very high standard. Where necessary Matthew also employs a scaffolding company who install before work commences. Personally I wouldn't now have anyone else work on my roof!

I cannot praise Matthew and his team enough. Our house needs reroofing and until we agreed how and when, Matthew attended to our immediate needs of fixing leaks and sagging roof. Have used Roofbusters before for a new garage/utility roof. We were so impressed with that job that they were our 'go to' contractor when some dislodged tiles on the main roof were noticed. It wasn't the biggest of jobs but Roofbuster's prompt response to our call was really appreciated and demonstrates well their willingness to carry out not just the big 'pay day' jobs. The house is over twenty five years old and has quite a lot of external woodwork which had become weathered and cracked and would need remedial treatment. Earlier this year a flashing had come loose and my son recommended contacting Roof Busters. I was very impressed by the way that Matthew Prince dealt with my request for repair and his willingness to carry out additional grouting once more weaknesses were discovered. The work was completed quickly. As a member of Which? for 50+ years I was pleased to see the 'Which Trusted Trader' logo emblazoned on the company vehicle. I was so impressed by this willingness to carry out such a minor repair and asked Matthew if he would give me a quote for replacing all of the woodwork and guttering. We arranged a meeting to discuss, the proposal and price was accepted. No date was finalised. Six weeks later Matthew then contacted me to see if the 27th July would be suitable. Matthew and his assistants Derek and Paul arrived at 8am as they did for the five days they were here and worked non-stop in the heatwave. They cleared away all the rubbish and tidied up before they left each day. We developed a good rapport and I was kept fully informed of what was going on. I was impressed watching as each of them individually went round the building checking to see if anything had been missed. The materials used were high quality and the workmanship is first class. It was a pleasure having them around the house.

Matthew & his team arrived on time, & never stopped working all day. The job was to strip old roof off & replace with a new one. This was done in 1 day, as agreed. the price was as quoted.

Matt kept me informed at all times both before and during the work. He explained clearly what he thought problem was and carried out the work he outlined. However, this did not stop the leak so Matt came back, removed tiles, examined lathes, etc and identified a 5p-sized hole in the felt beneath tiles. He repaired it and did additional sealing on any other possible inlet point, all at no additional cost. One tremendous downpour later and I am happy to say the problem is solved. Matt is a very professional tradesman and an impressive detector of leaks. Would thoroughly recommend.

Everything is efficient with Roof Busters. The initial consultation was sorted soon after I called and Matthew checked everything thoroughly and explained very clearly what my options were. The work was booked in much sooner than I expected and the team arrived promptly on the date. All the guys were polite and efficient and the roof was finished to a very high standard in no time at all (>2 days) - especially impressive considering its size. As the garage has been converted into a room, I opted for a warm-deck roof and the improvement in insulation is massive. Scaffolding erected quickly, solar panels removed safely, all materials delivered and left very tidily. I booked roof busters on a recommendation from both my mum and aunt. A house buying survey had raised risks around our chimney and I needed someone to sort it out. Matt was really easy to contact (despite being on holiday!) and came out at his earliest opportunity. And actually he said the roof and chimney all looked in fine condition and wouldn’t need any work doing. He came out of his way, and took care to explain his reasoning. He probably could have told us at least something small was required but he didn’t and didn’t even charge for the call out. I felt very reassured I’d used the right person.

Roof busters did a great job regarding my gutters. The guy was very timely, friendly and efficient. One of the tiles on our roof broke recently, it slid down the roof with a roar at midnight and woke us up. We called Roofbusters the next day and a new tile was fixed in place in a couple of days at little cost. Excellent and rapid service with a smile.

I have known Matthew for a number of years now. He has completed a number of major jobs for me including two brand new roofs on fairly large properties. I found Matt to be honest, friendly and easy to approach. He keeps to his word and jobs are completed within the promised time frame. The quality is high on all the jobs he has completed for me. I have no hesitation in recommending Matt and his team.

Matt and his team installed two skylights into my flat roof and waterproofed it with the Firestone membrane. The work was carried out promptly and efficiently and to a very high standard. All waste materials were taken away and the work area was left clean and tidy. An excellent job!

Matt came out to view the roof punctually and did an assessment of our concerns only to find that no work was required. Some roofers would have tried to find something to do to justify there attendance but Matt was straightforward and honest and did not benefit at all from his visit or his advice. I have kept this companies details and will make sure that Matt is the first person we call should any problems arise. Highly recommended.

From inception to completion, they were both professional and excellent. Matthew is polite, no hard sale whatsoever, provide a full detailed quotation for the extensive works that were required which comprised [not exhaustive] structurally reinforcing gable, new GRP gutter, retile , new soffit, new fascia [Victorian style that looks amazing], new gutters and fascias etc. Stood by the price without no hidden extras whatsoever, and the team worked their sock offs in both a polite and professional manner to complete the works on time. Would not hesitate to recommend . The other perk using this company is that you get regular updates of the progress [photos], including time of start etc. A company you can trust and rely upon.
