Pat was able to visit the flat shortly after I had contacted him. He advised me on what work would need to be done before he could start the decoration work and connected me with several trades people (who have all done a very good job), which was really helpful for me as a first time buyer. Pat communicates clearly, is very friendly and has done an outstanding job with the decoration of my flat, delivering an excellent finish. Specifically, Pat has repainted the complete apartment, including woodwork and radiators. Many parts in the apartment were not in a good condition before Pat started his work, but Pat invested a lot of time and patience until he received a perfect finish. He even corrected issues that I did not expect him to work on, for example he sanded down the cupboard doors so that they would close properly again. Furthermore, he cleaned the apartment everyday in the evening, which was really appreciated, as I already lived in the apartment. Pat finished the work as quoted. I am very happy with the result of his work and highly recommend Pat. I would hire him again if I need any decoration work done.

I found Pat on the Which! Trusted Traders website. He was quick to respond to my quotation request and came to my flat to see the work need to be done (painting the walls of a few rooms). He gave me a quote right there. My first impression from speaking to him was he seems to be an experienced decorator and knows well what he's doing. I can trust him. What a good find I made! Pat was very organised, tidy and clean. He planned ahead how he was going to prepare the rooms, what he needed to do each day. He made all the preparations so not to damage my new wooden floor. He made sure the walls were prepped for a good paint. He cleaned and tidied up every day and get it organised ready for the next day. I was able to leave him alone to do his job as I find him even more organised and detailed than me! His painting was professional. He also completed the job exactly as he had scheduled. Everything just fell into place exactly as he had told me I'm very glad I finally found a trusted decorator for myself and my friends for any more jobs in the future! What's more, through him I found other very good tradesmen who I can trust as well.

He is a skilled and hardworking painter and decorator who pays careful attention to preparation leading to an excellent finish to the job. Pat is totally reliable, punctual and works steadily on the job. He's very proficient and knows his stuff especially with regard to Victorian housing, and is very cost reasonable. Pat arranged heaters and ventilation across several weeks and then returned the room to its former glory. I'd highly recommend Pat, I had 13 doors frames that had been amateurishly misused. Pat's initial visit to cost up was very thorough and a realistic timescale, he's very friendly and very professional. The work took 2 weeks and Pat was always superb at letting me know any issues, updates etc. It was all done to time, in budget and he was amazingly clean, everything dust covered and cleaned as he went. The place looks so much better and he was very careful about realistic expectations of the work (oil vs water based etc). Very helpful, easy to talk and super at his job. Would definitely use again :)

He is a true professional who loves his work and really cares about doing a first class job. The job he did for us was excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable and gave excellent advice. Pat Roop is a really good experience. He seems slow to start but that is because he puts a lot into preparation and it certainly shows in the end product. He gave really good practical advice but also took in his stride any additions/changes of mind/other problems that cropped up along the way. His terms are very reasonable and he sees everything through to a conclusion including tidying up. I’ll definitely seek him out for our next decorating projects
