I have over 30 years of experience across a wide range of projects. I am based in Loughton, Essex, and much of my work is from regular clients, word of mouth and Which Local recommendations. Over the years, many projects have taken me further afield, including London, Suffolk, and Berkshire.
My key areas of expertise are painting and decorating, including wallpapering.

Steve has recently decorated our hall, stairs and landing. He also did some external painting work for us. Steve consulted us throughout the work, and it was carried out to a high standard. He is a very friendly person, and we were happy to leave him in our home. We would certainly use him again, and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Steve stripped the wallpaper from our master bedroom and study; papered the walls; painted the walls; and painted/varnished the woodwork. He also repainted our downstairs bathroom ceiling to cover some water damage. The work took place over three weekends, which suited both our schedule and his; he was very accommodating to our needs and other commitments. We're very happy with the quality of the work; he was thorough and consultative, and we would be very happy to use him again.

Steve has just repapered our kitchen ceiling after water damage. He was willing to take on just the papering, which was the bit my arthritic shoulders put me off doing myself. I had to delay him a couple of times because of other problems, but he remained willing and amiable. He's now just finished quite an awkward job, in less than five hours start to finish, and to a very high standard. He is proffessional, a clean worker and very much the kind of person I am comfortable to have in my home. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Steve did some interior repair work for me to some water-damaged ceilings - quite awkward jobs but he made a fantastic job of it. Highly professional, friendly and leaves the place very clean at the end of the day. Can't recommend him enough!

Any concerns about using an unknown contractor were soon dispelled by SteveÔøΩs professional and reliable estimating ÔøΩ pointing out areas that I had missed and making sensible suggestions. There was some delay in starting the outside decorating but I was kept fully informed of when the work would start. It was completed in good time and to a high standard. Later he was back to do most of the interior again as scheduled and to a high standard. Everything you want in a contractor: reliable, professional, competent.

Booked Steve for outside decorating in early June and, because he is busy, we had to wait for mid September for him to start. He only needed a week for front and back, which I thought was pretty efficient, and he planned the work such that he could continue working in the dodgy weather. As everybody notes his work is tidy and clean. We have now booked him for a full two story hall decoration. (Note: Steve like's his tea very milky - almost latte! - no sugar, and like radio 4 so there is no tinny popular music from his radio!)

I contacted Steve based on positive feedback on Which? Local, to quote for re-painting the ceiling in our through-lounge. He was on time for the visit to view the proposed work and gave a quote after talking us through the options in terms of materials, finish, etc. He then came when agreed to carry out the work, which was carried out quickly & efficiently. Very professional and conscientious, so we've no hesitation in recommending him as a local trader. We will definitely be using him again for any future painting & decorating.
