Just had our boiler replaced by Scott and his team and the whole process went very smoothly. Scott came out to inspect and give a quote. He was friendly, honest and professional and gave some excellent advice. 3 weeks later the boiler has been replaced. Kenny and Brian did a great job, professional, friendly and on time. The replacement boiler has made an incredible difference to our heat and water. I'm glad I did my homework and picked them. A great company and one I would not hesitate to use again or recommend.

I recently had a new boiler and 3 new radiators installed in an old top floor tenement flat. I got quotes from various companies - but chose Scott Findlay because of the time he took to explain all the things I needed to consider to make an informed choice. The others told me little and I didn't know enough about the process to ask the right questions. The work started and I was immediately impressed - over the course of the job I had 6 or so different workmen in the flat doing various parts of the job and I can honestly say they were all, without exception, some of the best I've encountered. Why? Because they all took care to answer my questions, make suggestions and explain what they were doing. They were tidy and careful - did a splendid job getting under my old and fragile floorboards with the smallest amount of damage, putting everything back with care and attention to minimise the impact. Scott helped me get my radiators powder-coated (they look fantastic!) and choose fancy valves for them so they look beautiful in the room and fit with the decor. It's rare to find tradesmen who have a good eye for what looks good - and understand why it's important. Their communication was great all the way through and that's another thing that can make these sorts of jobs frustrating and is vital for ensuring there are no misunderstandings. All in all, I was very impressed: great quality boiler and radiators, efficient organisation, fantastic work ethic. I would highly recommend them.

I had a new boiler fitted in my top floor tenement flat by Scott Findlay Plumbing & Heating. I had shopped around, read reviews and got 2 other quotes. Replacing a boiler is a big purchase! I wanted to get it right and find a company that would do a great job, with the minimum of fuss and that I could trust! I'm pleased to say I made the right choice. Scott and the team were all very professional and efficient, unexpected issues (it's an old flat!) that cropped up were quickly resolved with minimum stress to me. The great reviews here prompted me to contact Scott Findlay to ask about replacing a cracked external waste pipe (3rd floor flat) and I'm pleased to say the reviews didn't let me down! Such a great company to deal with - can't express that enough - professional, honest and great customer service. From the first visit to the offices of Scott Findlay at Meadowbank to the commissioning of the new boiler, the whole process was carried out in a friendly, courteous & professional manner. All the staff were very helpful and explained fully the requirements for each part of the job. Regular updates were provided, job starting date arranged and text updates of which engineer was coming and when, were a big help. All the friendly engineers respected the requirements of the Covid virus and kept all the work areas clean, tidy and safe. They each provided an excellent standard of work. The new boiler is working perfectly and without hesitation Scott Findlay will be carrying out the annual services and any other additional plumbing & heating work required. We recently found ourselves with no central heating in a cold February and a ten-year-old boiler. Scott Findlay were prompt and helpful in assessing the repair costs for the existing boiler and then discussing the options available to either repair or install a new boiler. We opted for a new boiler as it was not cost-effective to repair the existing one. Scott Findlay are accredited Worcester/Bosch boiler installers and as this is one of the Which best UK reviewed boilers available - with a twelve-year guarantee - we decided to replace our old boiler with a new Worcester Lifestyle. Their engineers are very professional, and we very much appreciated that they took the time to explain boiler systems in ways we could understand. They checked that we had ancillary heating and water available before leaving the property. The installation was complicated by our boiler being attic based, the property being a listed, old building and the need for a gas meter upgrade and additional external gas piping, but all of the work was carried out effectively and, in the timelines, agreed. Our engineer even installed the new external gas piping while it was snowing outside. The office staff are extremely helpful, and the costs are clearly outlined in advance. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Scott Findlay as a first class, customer-friendly professional company who have carried out our plumbing and heating work to the highest standards.

Second annual service following installation of our combi boiler. As usual the process was very smooth from the initial contact in advance of the review right through to the prompt arrival of the engineer and the completion of the work.

The company were so easy to deal with, yet totally professional. In doing a gas inspection of my flat, they had to condemn the boiler. I asked them foe a quote, which I thought was reasonable. Setting up the appointment was quick, and the work was carried out cleanly and professionally. They also found that a new pump was needed, but that's not surpring after 20 years. I'm happy to recommend this company to anyone.

We required an urgent replacement of our boiler as a fault had been identified by the fault codes on the boiler which caused the boiler to shut down; this was further diagnosed as a fault within the printed circuit board and required the heating to be re-established quickly due to being in the middle of a very cold snap of weather. We had two quotes for the work - Scott Findlay's arrived to survey the work on the Monday at the time previously arranged and had the quotation issued to us on the Wednesday Scott Findlays were just over £800 pounds cheaper than the second reputable gas boiler installation Company. From the date of accepting the quote to having the boiler installed was one day( We were fortunate that another job had been cancelled and that we were treated as a priority as we had no heating and have a child under 8 years of age). The team were amazing from the point of doing the survey to arranging the quotation, payment and installing the project. All on-site employees were compliant with Covid 19 working practices and were clean and tidy from start to finish on the Job - my rating is 10 out of 10- Excellent.

This was the first time I had used Scott Findlay and they were very helpful and efficient from first to last. Simon installed my new oil boiler outdoors in an exposed location in challenging weather conditions. His hands must have been frozen, and there was no opportunity for him to come indoors for a warm and a hot drink due to the current restrictions. He was efficient and helpful and took time to explain all the features of the new system. My house is now lovely and warm. I am very pleased with the work and the result

Extremely happy with their service. From the start, they've been honest about the cost we will ensure, they always arrived on time with text and email reminders sent prior to their engineers arriving and always follow up after the job was completed to ensure everything is fine with us. We had our boiler replaced. The two engineers were really professional, punctual, polite and very understanding with our son's special needs who gets upset with strangers in the house. The boiler supplies heating and hot water. It's an old system and was on its last legs. Scott Findlay pulled out all the stops to have the new system installed as soon as possible. The service was excellent and I can't recommend them enough for their work.

New boiler with all the trimmings, and bath taps & silicone sealant replaced over 2 days, all done to high standard and with a high quality service. We'd had a Scott Findlay engineer visit us before - boiler troubles - and it was great when the same engineer, Kevin, walked through the door. The whole process from start to finish was really easy and straightforward, from dealing with Claire Findlay via e-mail/telephone, to John's home visit to make sure we knew what would be taking place to Kevin's great work on the installation itself. All in all, a top quality service from a highly recommended local business.

I was impressed by every stage of the installation of my new boiler, beginning with Scott's expert advice. The quotation included additional work that I wanted - and all for a very competitive price. The standards of the equipment supplied and the workmanship were very high, and the work was done on schedule. I was particularly pleased by the clear and friendly way in which everything was explained to me and the way in which the disturbance caused by the work was minimised. Highly recommended.

Scott and Claire were great with the installation of our new boiler. Always responded to my questions and e-mails very quickly. After 11 quotes Scott was the only one who explained to me the different options that I had and why. Brian, who installed our boiler, was very efficient and careful and he explained to us everything in terms of the boiler and our new thermostat. Great service, reasonable price. We had an intermittent fault with our Worcester Bosch boiler and were also long overdue for a service. We had contacted 2 local firms for help..neither of whom bothered to turn up. Scott Findlay replied to our enquiry promptly and arranged an appointment for an engineer to call. From the initial visit by Scott, I was so impressed by his knowledge, his explanation of the work involved and the fact that he took into consideration that I am partially sighted, suggesting what could be done to help me, that I didn’t feel the need to get a quote from any other company. Although I thought that my elderly radiators would need to be replaced, I was assured this was not necessary at all. (Other companies would no doubt have happily replaced them unnecessarily, adding to the cost!) I was given a very detailed quotation, and kept informed when work would begin. Delivery of equipment was perfectly co-ordinated. The installers Brian and Cammy arrived when expected, were friendly, helpful, very efficient and worked their socks off. The work involved them not only in my kitchen, but also in a bedroom, the loft, under the floorboards, outside and in the garage. Yes, there were a couple of problems, but these were solved in a professional manner. AND they tidied up beautifully afterwards, leaving my home exactly as they had found it. All in all am very happy with the whole process and would definitely recommend this company.
