Scott Findlay Plumbing & Heating were excellent from start to finish. My 14 year old boiler needed to be replaced in September 2018. Scott arrived on time to view the job, submitted a quote early, scheduled the work within 2 weeks, Simon did a great job on the install and Claire followed up directly afterwards to make sure all had gone well. First class service throughout.

I came across Scott Findlay after using another plumber to do what should have been a simple job to replace a kitchen tap. That proved to be too much for that individual and i was left with a leaking tap! Subsequently, the firm has done other small jobs and most recently have replaced my combi boiler. Each time, the engineer has arrived exactly on time and done the work professionally and rapidly. The boiler replacement went very smoothly. Brian worked extremely hard over the two days; I was impressed with the way he protected the flat from dust and dirt and the fact he took very little time out for a break. He explained each step as he progressed and then was very patient with me as he went over the working of the new boiler and thermostat in great detail. I would have no hesitation in recommending the firm to others whether it be for a major job like this recent one or a simple one as in the past.

Having got several quotes, Scott Findlay were by far the most engaged and professional. They delivered a first rate service throughout our boiler upgrade and their whole team were very impressive. We got updates at the end of each day and they tidied up well. I would certainly recommend Scott Findlay and the excellent service they provide.

Nope! They truly deserve a 5-star rating. Efficient and exactly on time. Initial quote visit for boiler replacement was very helpful and unpressured. Quote delivered promptly, and was thorough and informative. Work carried out - and spotlessly cleared up after - in a timely way, and by a friendly and knowledgeable engineer. Just had our boiler replaced by Scott and his team and the whole process went very smoothly. Scott came out to inspect and give a quote. He was friendly, honest and professional and gave some excellent advice. 3 weeks later the boiler has been replaced. Kenny and Brian did a great job, professional, friendly and on time. The replacement boiler has made an incredible difference to our heat and water. I'm glad I did my homework and picked them. A great company and one I would not hesitate to use again or recommend.

I needed to replace our 15 year old boiler and having done some research I obtained quotes from 3 firms (one national and two local). There was roughly £400 difference between lowest and highest but I opted for Scott Findlay (not quite the cheapest quote) for the following reasons: I try to use local trade where possible Overall feedback is very good Appears on which 'Trusted Trader' website Recommended Worcester Bosch Group installer Clarity on the installation process but also (very importantly as it transpired) advised of potential issues - only one of the three that did. From initial quote to final commissioning of the boiler I spoke to / met six people from the business - two office based, Scott Findlay who quoted, the installer and then two follow up visits re testing the gas pressure coming into my house - each person was very professional and helpful / courteous. The boiler was fitted as arranged and the installer tidied up after him. However the gas pressure coming into my house was not sufficient to pass the commissioning test - this was the advice of potential issue Scott advised. To cut a long story short, SGN had to increase the gas flow (at no cost to me) and although a minor inconvenience, I was aware of this so it did not come as a surprise. I understand that if the tests are not carried out correctly and the pressure is too low the guarantee can be invalidated. Sound advice indeed from Scott. Would I recommend or use again - absolutely.

We can't praise the Scott Findlay team highly enough. From the 2 inspections to quote for the job, making sure our boiler replacement met all our requirements (16 radiators). And to the new gas pipe required to facilitate this. The team carrying out this project were professionals and very conscientious. All work completed in time and on budget. We are happy to recommend them.

Scott came and gave a very fair quote and even talked me out of unnecessarily upgrading to a bigger, more expensive boiler. David installed over 3 days and replaced 3 radiators. All done very tidily, efficiently and with the minimum of hassle - even made sure we had heating when the temperature dropped to -5 overnight, Have since been back to fix 2 other plumbing issues, Would not hesitate to recommend.

I employed Scott Findlay Plumbing & Heating to service my heating system, and to give an appraisal of the system as it had been fitted by a plumber who I now has botched the job. The engineer, Simon, worked very professionally and efficiently keeping the work area clean and tidy. He has given me an honest and full appraisal of my system and I will definitely be asking for the system to be brought up to Scott Findlay's high standard.

Prompt professional service. I highly recommend them for their competent workforce unlike another the other firm of plumbers who scratched their head and came up with the genius solution that our leak was “a mystery”. This prompted me to look up Which Trusted Traders and find Scott Findlay plumbing & Heating Ltd. Their bill was reasonable too. Claire took charge of co ordinating the plumber works and joinery works as I live some 150 miles away and that’s what I call going the extra mile! I’ve got this firm on speed dial should I require their services in the future.

Simon and Kenny installed a new lpg boiler, radiators and two showers in a stone cottage, to upgrade us from electric storage heaters and showers. We’ve been putting the job off for a while, not wanting the disturbance, but the job was done quickly, Scott and Claire kept us up to date beforehand and during the works, and the guys did a great job, with very little mess and disturbance, given the size of the job (and the number of thick walls to get through!). The final installation is great;neat and tidy (and much much warmer!). Would definitely recommend.

Our boiler was due for replacement anyway, but it packed in totally during the waiting period so Claire pulled out all the stops to get a swap of dates with another customer - and succeeded. The installation itself was very thorough and professional - done by the book and we had the heating/hot water back on the first day. The engineers not only know their stuff and operate and clean up to a high standard but are very pleasant guys to have around. The communication is also very good and Scott answered all our queries about the new boiler over the phone. We would unhesitatingly recommend.

Scott and Claire were great with the installation of our new boiler. Always responded to my questions and e-mails very quickly. After 11 quotes Scott was the only one who explained to me the different options that I had and why. Brian, who installed our boiler, was very efficient and careful and he explained to us everything in terms of the boiler and our new thermostat. Great service, reasonable price.
