When my elderly mothers boiler broke down on the 24th April I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to get it fixed during the Covid 19 lockdown. I called Scott Findlay as I had used them myself when I had a problem with my boiler. Thankfully they sent an engineer round within a couple of hours of my call and established that a new boiler was required. Amazingly they were able to source a boiler and managed to install it the same day (all while taking the necessary Covid 19 precautions). They advised me that they would have to come back a few days later to finish some pipe work which they did on the following Thursday. Everyone we dealt with at Scott Findlay couldn’t have been nicer. Thank you for the great service and I would highly recommend them.

When water appeared leaking from the ceiling in my downstairs bathroom my heart sank. The suspect was my upstairs shower which had been the culprit 3 years before. It had taken months to trace the problem (leaking pipe at the back of the shower) and had cost a lot of money to fix. Here we were in lockdown. I checked sites such as this and picked Scott Findlay. They were operating during the crisis and had excellent reviews. Clare could not have been more helpful in organising a prompt visit. Kevin came and within minutes had diagnosed the problem, a sealant leak which could be easily (and cheaply) sorted. He fixed the leaking tap in the downstairs bathroom so that I could use that until he returned to fix the shower. Kevin came in with PPE on including mask, gloved and foot coverings, all the right things to wear (I should know, I work in public health). I cannot recommend them highly enough, friendly, efficient and great value. I won't need to look for a plumber again, I know who to go to.

I used Scott Findlay Plumbing and Heating Ltd to remove a boiler and hot water tank, install a combi boiler in a different location and do various other smaller plumbing jobs. Their engineers did a great job on the timescale and at the cost agreed, they were pleasant to deal with and communicated well. The whole project was well managed and neatly and tidily executed. The customer care and communication is particularly impressive. The phone is answered quickly and by someone who knows what they are talking about. The quoting for work, scheduling visits, communicating with the customer and billing all run like clockwork. It is simply a very well run business.

Scott Findlay have just installed a new combi boiler for us. That involved removing the old boiler, the water tank and decommissioning the cold water tank. We also had several new radiators installed. The job took 4 days; the engineers arrived at the expected time every day and worked without stopping all the time they were here! They were professional, friendly and helpful and communicated well at all stages. The quote for the job was accurate and information from the office was thorough and helpful. The engineers were very conscious of making the disruption (they were working in every room in the house) as minimal as possible and of leaving the system in as workable a way as they could when they left each evening. They also cleaned up after their work, which was much appreciated! The end result is wonderful, the system works perfectly and we are very pleased. I would recommend Scott Findlay without hesitation.

We had an emergency boiler issue in the run up to Christmas as a result of the cold weather. I contacted Claire at Scott Findlay and she was able to arrange someone to come and look at it within 48 hours. Unfortunately we needed a new boiler but thanks to the SF team it was fitted within the week and whilst we were on holiday so we returned to a warm house and a great new boiler. The communication from start to finish has been excellent - with emails and texts to confirm the timing of the work and then completion of the work. The boiler was a like for like replacement which the SF team sourced for me late on a Friday evening. I would definitely recommend SF to anyone looking for prompt, courteous, quality workmanship and outstanding service.

Our boiler was replaced promptly and efficiently by friendly engineer Mark with minimum disruption and no mess. Overall a great job.

Based on reviews, we called Scott Findlay for a quote when our boiler was on the way out and decided to go with the company the next day. We were not disappointed. The company could teach many bigger companies something about customer service. The quote was reasonable and we were kept informed at every step. Disruption was minimised despite the fact that we had to have new pipes laid. Times were kept to and all tradesmen sent by the company were pleasant And knowledgeable. We felt totally at ease with the whole project. We especially appreciated that the company made sure every tradesperson knew not to let our cats out. The attention to detail was fantastic and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

There's something about me and boilers that don't go well together and through the years I have used Scott Findlay and Team for boiler repairs and installations in a few properties. Just had new Worcester Bosch Combi boiler fitted by Scott Findlay Heating. What a fantastic team, arrived promptly at 8am on the prearranged date, the engineers work solidly throughout the day always conscious of your property and keeping you informed of progress. My installation took 3 full days this included replacing the gas main and flushing the whole system. When job completed I received full instruction on operating my new system and my house was left as found, all rubbish removed and debris swept up. My system is also covered by a complete 10 year guarantee. Highly recommend.

Scott Findlay Heating Engineers fitted a new combi bolier in our house, very pleased with the service they provided. From the initial visit to the house from Scott himself, to the various communications with Claire in the office, all first class. The day of the installation went smoothly with minimal disruption, and the team were professional and left the property very tidy at the end of the day. We had confidence in using a local company that specialised in a particular brand of boiler, and were happy with the price quoted. We used the one year interest free option which was very simple to set up and allows us to spread the cost. Would be happy to recommend.

Second time I've used Scott Findlay for a boiler replacement - initially for my own house in Feb 2018 and now for my son's new flat Sept 2019. Scott assessed what was required, quoted and then arranged for his team to complete the works. This time we had an additional requirement as we asked Scott if the existing radiators could be replaced but that when removing the old radiators could he allow us a week before fitting the new ones so we could wallpaper behind where the radiators were to be installed. Scott duly complied and the new combi boiler and radiators are installed and running well. I've no hesitation recommending Scott Findlay Plumbing and Heating Ltd.

My boiler 'died' just as home working/self-isolation was kicking off, which was wonderful timing. After seeing their reviews I decided to contact Scott Findlay for a quote and am so glad I did so. From the very first contact they were professional, friendly, and made it very clear how conscious they were of COVID-19 restrictions. So, as well as checking with me to make sure I had no symptoms, the engineer who provided the quote and installed the boiler took all the necessary precautions (wearing gloves; keeping a distance; etc.), which was very reassuring. Everything was taken care of seamlessly, from sorting out partial finance through to completing all of the registration forms with Worcester, and that allowed me to focus on working from home while the installation took place. I now have a whisper-quiet boiler keeping me cosy, and all with the minimum amount of stress. These guys are highly recommended!!

Scott Findlay replaced the existing boiler and water heating system with a new combiner's boiler. Their work was efficiently carried out with little disruption and no mess, leaving the property as though it had not been touched during a major re-plumbing job. Their engineers were courteous and worked well with the social distancing rules in place in the day, wiping down surface touched with disinfectant wipes at the end of each day. We recently had a brand new combi boiler and nest fitted by Scott Findlay plumbing and heating engineers Ltd after a family recommendation. From start to finish the service that was provided was 1st class, every individual we encountered was punctual and efficient. Simon who came out to give us a quote was extremely knowledgeable and very thorough and provided us we many different options. The two engineers Kenny and Brian who relocated and installed the boiler and lastly Brian who commissioned and provided the finishing touches were very professional and had a wealth of knowledge that allowed a seamless and pleasant process. With the current COVID 19 pandemic around I was a little nervous but everyone that entered our house were fantastic, they kept their distance, face mask were worn and followed government guidelines on keeping themselves and my family safe. We are extremely satisfied with the service and experience provided and we would not hesitate to recommend and use Scott Findlay plumbing and heating engineers again for future needs.

Had a new combi boiler and radiator installed. The work was meant to take 2 days, but due to Covid-19 there was a slight delay with the delivery of the radiator, nevertheless, the work was professional, the technicians were super nice and they made sure the installation was just perfect. The added value of having this work done by nice and professional people is priceless.

When my gas supplier told me my boiler was beyond repair, Scott did a site survey within 4 days and I had a new boiler the next day. The cost was reasonable, all inclusive and clearly explained. Communication about the job from the office by phone, email and text was the best I’ve ever seen from any business. Scott Findlay’s engineer was skilled, courteous and friendly and demonstrated how everything worked. A builder was needed but this was also organised promptly by Scott, and checked up on to make sure their contractor had done a good job. Scott registered the manufacturer’s warranty for me and provided their own guarantee of their work. I recommend Scot Findlay unreservedly for end to end service, reasonably priced, courteous and efficient work, quick response and absolute reliability.

We asked the trader to come and look at our house with a view to replacing the boiler.After the first meeting we then received the written quote and decided to accept this quote one of three.The work was to be carried out at the beginning of November and we were told that it would take 3 days,The trader had their workmen here early on the 31st October and worked hard to have the boiler installed and were complete by the 2nd November. They were very respectful and ensured there was damage to our house and they came across a problem re the pressure and discovered that there was not enough pressure in the house so had SGN here and came back on the 3rd to complete the job. We have used this company a few times - initially for a routine service of our ancient boiler, but more recently to replace the boiler for a more compact, efficient Worcester model. On each occasion when we've had people from this company in our house we've been thoroughly impressed by their care, attention to detail and professional service.
