We offer convenient one hour arrival slots to make things easy for you and all works are fully insured & guaranteed for 12 months.

We chose Scott Findlay because he gave us a much more thorough assessment of the work to be done than the other firms - with a price that was still in line with them. Good communication and planning really set this firm apart. There weren't any of the missing parts, delays, or undeclared changes that we'd come to dread when getting a big job done. Everyone was pleasant throughout, keen to make sure we knew what was going on, and very tidy.

Scott Findlay Plumbing & Heating Engineers - recently fitted and installed a new boiler & thermostat & CO2 detector for us. I highly recommend them. They were prompt, friendly and competitive in price. Everything (cherry picker, old boiler pickup etc) turned up on time and the process was seamless. I have no hesitation in recommending this plumbing and heating firm. When my old boiler broke down and could not be repaired Scott personally came to the house and quickly put our mind at ease. I had been putting off replacing the old floor standing boiler for years because I thought it would be very tricky and expensive to do. Scott explained exactly what would be required to fit a new high efficiency wall hung boiler in the same kitchen cupboard as the old one. He quickly sent us a detailed quotation setting out how this would be done. His was by far the most reassuring of the 3 quotations I received. Where others said that they doubted that they could fit us in at short notice, he rose to the challenge and gave us an exact date and time the work would begin and how the various trades would be organised. And this is how it turned out to our complete satisfaction. Well done the Findlay team for the high quality of work they produced for us.

Scott Findlay met with us twice before submitting his quote and these sessions were highly informative and provided real assurance that the design and installation had been thought through fully. Subsequently we were very pleased with the quality of the implementation of the works which were completed within the planned timeline. Both Kenneth and David were very responsive and accommodating in regard to the complexity of the pipe runs and the other aspects of the installation. Their quote was competitive across the three tenderers involved. Claire kept us informed throughout.

What I like most is the fact I can pay my bill over the phone since I don't trust Internet banking and it saves me a trek into the town centre bank branch where I have to stand around in a long slow-moving queue. I have mobility problems and this is so quick and easy. The staff members are always friendly and polite. The tradesmen are quite chatty and give you good advice. They also have a nice sense of humour! Annual service of my boiler and a small repair carried out. I think there should be a discount for elderly and/or disabled clients and for quick payment. I don't think they are offered at present. A bit pricey.

Scott Findlay installed a new boiler, smart thermostat, and cleaned the radiators for me. From providing the quote, responding to my follow up questions, and the installation everything was dealt with very efficiently and professionally. The price was competitive, but what really did it for me was the prompt and excellent customer service that was provided by all staff I was in touch with. It was really refreshing and really sets a high bar. I would happily recommend Scott Findlay.

Great service from initial face to face consultation on all options to final delivery. Combo boiler replaced, water tank removed, header tank disconnected, 6 rads resized and fitted, toilet replaced, WiFi thermostat fitted plus new controller fitted. Team were on time, polite, very tidy and considerate. Job was explained at every stage, we were consulted as needed. Budget was as discussed and submitted promptly. I can only recommend Scott and the team, they are without exception friendly, helpful and professional. Any very small issues were dealt with quickly and effectively.

I am a bit late with entering this review but Scott Findlay have just completed another job for us (repair of a burst pipe) which reminded me of how good their service is. Our boiler was declared "dead" last August after some incompetent repair attempts by the contractor (employed by a big name power company) to carry out a service on their behalf. Although Scott Findlay could not do the job immediately they were courteous and professional arranging an appointment as soon as they had space in the diary. Their quote was also £400 less than the other quote we received. We were very satisfied with the work done & the professionalism of the team who installed the boiler as well as the office staff we dealt with. I would recommend giving them a chance to quote for any heating/plumbing jobs.

Cannot fault this company. New boiler installed without any problems. Staff punctual, neat and tidy in their work and very hard working as well. Considering we had shabby installation of our previous boiler when those plumbers didn't do a very good job and left all sorts of rubbish under the floorboards thinking nobody would ever find it, Scott Findlay and team were exemplary in every way and I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.

Scott Findlay and his team have installed a new boiler in our flat as our old one had broken out. Scott offered us the most attractive deal taking into account the quality of the boiler, the speed and the quality of the installation and the interest free payment plan. The communication led by Claire Findlay all way through the process was impressive and the boiler installation as well as the radiators replacement took just one day and was arranged within 48 hours from the moment we decided to accept the deal. The quality of the work was very good and we are happy with our upgraded boiler and radiators.

Our boiler was due for replacement anyway, but it packed in totally during the waiting period so Claire pulled out all the stops to get a swap of dates with another customer - and succeeded. The installation itself was very thorough and professional - done by the book and we had the heating/hot water back on the first day. The engineers not only know their stuff and operate and clean up to a high standard but are very pleasant guys to have around. The communication is also very good and Scott answered all our queries about the new boiler over the phone. We would unhesitatingly recommend.

Simon and Kenny installed a new lpg boiler, radiators and two showers in a stone cottage, to upgrade us from electric storage heaters and showers. We’ve been putting the job off for a while, not wanting the disturbance, but the job was done quickly, Scott and Claire kept us up to date beforehand and during the works, and the guys did a great job, with very little mess and disturbance, given the size of the job (and the number of thick walls to get through!). The final installation is great;neat and tidy (and much much warmer!). Would definitely recommend.

We can't praise the Scott Findlay team highly enough. From the 2 inspections to quote for the job, making sure our boiler replacement met all our requirements (16 radiators). And to the new gas pipe required to facilitate this. The team carrying out this project were professionals and very conscientious. All work completed in time and on budget. We are happy to recommend them.
