Scott Findlay is certainly a trustworthy & reliable company, serving the local community – I visited their new office and received great help, very good assistance & advise with courteous service form everyone in his business, would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone requiring heating/plumbing.

Scott and Claire were great with the installation of our new boiler. Always responded to my questions and e-mails very quickly. After 11 quotes Scott was the only one who explained to me the different options that I had and why. Brian, who installed our boiler, was very efficient and careful and he explained to us everything in terms of the boiler and our new thermostat. Great service, reasonable price. Definitely recommend!

Scott Findlay Ltd removed our old boiler and replaced it with a new Worcester Bosch boiler last week. We thought we were going to face two highly disruptive days - we are working at home due to the pandemic. This was not the case at all - it went so smoothly. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the engineer (Simon) who fitted the boiler, and other members of the company we dealt with to arrange the boiler replacement. From first contact with the company to the last (they checked to see how it was working after installation) the performance of their entire team was flawless, and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend Scott Findlay Ltd to others.

Old boiler was needing replaced for an elderly couple in their late 80’s. Claire took time to ensure this could be done with the least amount of upheaval to them. Cameron took the time to explain to my deaf mother what he was going to do. Mark worked quickly and left the area very clean. I can’t recommend them highly enough on the entire customer experience as well as the job completion.

Scott Findlay set up a new boiler and radiators within 3 days. The service was very good and professional. They keep customer updated all the time with each step. A very quick (next day) visit from one of their team and I had the full quote the following day (and it was the best price I had from four quotes). I needed to replace our 15 year old boiler and having done some research I obtained quotes from 3 firms (one national and two local). There was roughly £400 difference between lowest and highest but I opted for Scott Findlay (not quite the cheapest quote) for the following reasons: I try to use local trade where possible Overall feedback is very good Appears on which 'Trusted Trader' website Recommended Worcester Bosch Group installer Clarity on the installation process but also (very importantly as it transpired) advised of potential issues - only one of the three that did. From initial quote to final commissioning of the boiler I spoke to / met six people from the business - two office based, Scott Findlay who quoted, the installer and then two follow up visits re testing the gas pressure coming into my house - each person was very professional and helpful / courteous. The boiler was fitted as arranged and the installer tidied up after him. However the gas pressure coming into my house was not sufficient to pass the commissioning test - this was the advice of potential issue Scott advised. To cut a long story short, SGN had to increase the gas flow (at no cost to me) and although a minor inconvenience, I was aware of this so it did not come as a surprise. I understand that if the tests are not carried out correctly and the pressure is too low the guarantee can be invalidated. Sound advice indeed from Scott. Would I recommend or use again - absolutely.

We have nothing but praise for the service we have just received from Scott Findlay and his team. At the initial visit to quote for the installation of a new boiler, Scott gave us the benefit of his professional and technical knowledge to answer any questions we had. He was definitely an engineer first and foremost and not a salesman; in fact, he was just the opposite to the latter, making sure that we did not have more work done than was necessary! He explained everything that he would include and why he would recommend it. His quote arrived promptly and from then on, our contact with Claire and her team in the office was perfect - every question dealt with promptly in a friendly, efficient manner - nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day of the installation, Brian, their engineer, arrived exactly on time and things just got better and better. Firstly, dust sheets everywhere to protect our carpets and furnishings then Brian explained exactly what he would be doing and he worked virtually non-stop all day. When he was finished, he checked over the whole installation and made sure that we knew how all the new equipment worked. He cleared away all the old fixtures and fittings leaving everything as it should be. Brian is probably the friendliest and most helpful guy we have ever had to do any work in the house. We would most definitely recommend Scott and his team, with no hesitation and will certainly use them for any future work. Thank you to the whole team.

When my elderly mothers boiler broke down on the 24th April I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to get it fixed during the Covid 19 lockdown. I called Scott Findlay as I had used them myself when I had a problem with my boiler. Thankfully they sent an engineer round within a couple of hours of my call and established that a new boiler was required. Amazingly they were able to source a boiler and managed to install it the same day (all while taking the necessary Covid 19 precautions). They advised me that they would have to come back a few days later to finish some pipe work which they did on the following Thursday. Everyone we dealt with at Scott Findlay couldn’t have been nicer. Thank you for the great service and I would highly recommend them.

When water appeared leaking from the ceiling in my downstairs bathroom my heart sank. The suspect was my upstairs shower which had been the culprit 3 years before. It had taken months to trace the problem (leaking pipe at the back of the shower) and had cost a lot of money to fix. Here we were in lockdown. I checked sites such as this and picked Scott Findlay. They were operating during the crisis and had excellent reviews. Clare could not have been more helpful in organising a prompt visit. Kevin came and within minutes had diagnosed the problem, a sealant leak which could be easily (and cheaply) sorted. He fixed the leaking tap in the downstairs bathroom so that I could use that until he returned to fix the shower. Kevin came in with PPE on including mask, gloved and foot coverings, all the right things to wear (I should know, I work in public health). I cannot recommend them highly enough, friendly, efficient and great value. I won't need to look for a plumber again, I know who to go to.

Quote delivered promptly, and was thorough and informative. Work carried out - and spotlessly cleared up after - in a timely way, and by a friendly and knowledgeable engineer. Such a pleasure working with these guys compared to the normal hassle and worry of getting work done. Highly recommended.

Having got several quotes, Scott Findlay were by far the most engaged and professional. They delivered a first rate service throughout our boiler upgrade and their whole team were very impressive. I came across Scott Findlay after using another plumber to do what should have been a simple job to replace a kitchen tap. That proved to be too much for that individual and i was left with a leaking tap! Subsequently, the firm has done other small jobs and most recently have replaced my combi boiler. Each time, the engineer has arrived exactly on time and done the work professionally and rapidly. The boiler replacement went very smoothly. Brian worked extremely hard over the two days; I was impressed with the way he protected the flat from dust and dirt and the fact he took very little time out for a break. He explained each step as he progressed and then was very patient with me as he went over the working of the new boiler and thermostat in great detail. I would have no hesitation in recommending the firm to others whether it be for a major job like this recent one or a simple one as in the past.
