I emailed Simon last night about getting a slipped tile repaired, he responded within a couple of hours and actually completed the job today (the next morning). Polite, reliable and efficient - highly recommend!

Fixed the end ridge tile of garage roof and mkended down edges of ridge sides. Simon explained the plan, gave a good quote of cost and of when he could do the job, which was within a few days. This was lucky as a previous roofer had made a hole in it. The roof was mended thoroughly, swiftly and looked really good. Simon has respect of other trades locally; and i have recommended his firm to my neighbours.

I had a small issue on my roof and water was suspected to be leaking out of one of my dormers. After a few tries with other roofers which either proposed to redo the whole roof, ghosted me or quoted me way too high, Simon was able to help. An honest price, and went above and beyond by fixing two more issues that I was planning on doing myself but didn't get round to, and to be honest I am not that good at DIY. He showed me pics of his job, described what he was going to do and made sure I understood. He also came a long way to help me on the issue, and it is greatly appreciated. Simon and his team carried out a number of roof repairs for me, and completely replaced the guttering and fascias. All the work was carried out to a very high standard, but at a reasonable price. A hole somehow appeared under the gutter at my daughters house. Simon had done work at our house and I was confident his work was first class. On contacting him he speedily rectified the soffit; although a relatively small job Simon was very helpful and put our minds at ease.

Simon changed the felting on our garage roof and a couple of the boards that were wet from a leak. I got quotes from a couple different companies and Simon was helpful and engaging from the beginning. He was super understanding of my rather unfriendly dog and completely accommodating of that. SD Roofing offered an excellent service. Quoted for the job very promptly and carried out the work on the agreed date and at the agreed time.They also took account of the weather. Good communication throughout. They have done an excellent job with the roof and they left the surrounding area tidy, even washing down the patio/ window of mud. They even cleared out the gutters and they took all the rubbish away. Said if we had any problems, to not hesitate to get in touch although they said we should not have any. Simon renovated my Juliette balcony a few years ago - he did a great job. This time I asked him to install some ventilation and fix some guttering. He did that and also inspected the whole roof - fixing some tiles which had slipped. Simon is reliable and straightforward. Simon replaced two Velux roof windows that had started leaking. I found him to be friendly, knowledgeable and capable. He was extremely helpful in arranging the supply of the correct replacement windows by the supplier and in resolving a technical issue that arose. The work was completed with the minimum of disruption and mess and at the precise cost quoted beforehand. I would certainly use SD Roofing again myself and would not hesitated to recommend them to others.

SD Roofing did an excellent job of removing a decking area, that was beyond repair. He had a deadline to do the work, which was kept to. Would not hesitate to recommend his services. Also very cheerful and reasonably priced.

Despite being in Calne, Wiltshire Simon was very happy to travel for what turned out to be a smallish job replacing and repairing two roof tiles. A leak in the roof was difficult to identify but he was able to find the source of the problem quickly and sort it out. He explained everything and made sure I was happy with his work, which I was. I was particularly impressed by his professional, cheerful approach which instilled complete confidence that he knew what he was doing. I would certainly use him again if required.

Called by Tenant as a small damp patch appearing in one of the bedrooms near the roof. I got two Quotes one being with SD Roofing who had better quality pictures of the issue with flashing and a couple of loose tiles. Quote was back within a couple of days as stated. Was a good quote and work clearly explained. Work was turned around within a week of the quote and done to a high standard with after photos sent to me and work explained to tenants. Invoice was as the quote and followed in a timely manner with well layer out info. Will happily recommend and use again.

I am very pleased with the job to remove the leaking flat roof on a small square 'fill in' extension on my bungalow and to redo the roof deck and cover it with a rubber membrane. Simon and the chap who was working with him (I omitted to ask his name) had a good attitude and pleasant manner. Simon responded promptly to my initial enquiry. When he came to look at the job he explained how he would do it and gave me a quote that evening by text. We eventually managed to agree a date for the work that needed to fit in with Hospital appointments, Operations and access difficulties due to the house gas feed being renewed. He was very understanding and worked around my dates and kept me informed of his availability; he came to start the work as agreed and was happy for me to look at the work as it progressed and he explained what he was doing and why. He and his colleague appeared to work well together and completed the work that day with everything left clean and tidy. I found the price to be reasonable and am satisfied with the Quality of the work. I happily recommend him for this type of work.

Simon and his coworker replaced my leaky kitchen roof over a month ago now. I had to rely on a good roofer and so chose one with many very good reviews. To my knowledge, indeed, a very good job has been done and with good quality materials. Certainly, there are absolutely no problems, and I understand that the rubber surface roof will be more durable than the old felted roof I had. The job was done quickly, to what appears to me to be a high standard. Simon and his co-worker were pleasant and cleared up after the work. Communications with Simon were always polite, informative and professional. I would highly recommend SD roofing, no fuss, no complications and above all an excellent job.

This is the second time I have used SD Roofing (Tewkesbury) and again another brilliant piece of work by Simon - in budget and on time. The task was to remove a redundant chimney stack and re-felt, baton and tile the area. The quality of Simon's work is superb and he is so knowledgeable about what he is doing. To make things harder for Simon he was working on a snowy roof with temperatures below freezing. He completed the work in one day and one would never know there was a chimney there before. When the work was finished Simon made sure all the local guttering was cleaned from debris and they made sure the area below was left clean and tidy. I am full of praise and extremely delighted with Simons work and would strongly recommend SD Roofing for any roofing related work. You will not be disappointed.

This is the second time we have used SD roofing. They have done a whole new roof with guttering and fascia boards.Excellent service so used again. Second job was installation of velux windows and new section of roof created. Simon is 5*. Swift, professional and reasonable quotes. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him!

During the storms earlier this year the weatherboard to one of the roof slopes became dislodged and required replacing. With one roof slope dislodged our concern was that the remaining slope may suffer the same outcome. After contacting S D Roofing they undertook an inspection and advised that weatherboard to the other roof slope was fine and did not require replacing. They then prepared a competitive quotation to replace the damaged weatherboard which we accepted. Being a townhouse with the gable located above the garage access wasn't easy so a full scaffold was required. S D Roofing allowed for the scaffolding within their quotation and co-ordinated both its erection / dismantling with their own works keeping us informed at all stages with no hinderance to our neighbours. A job extremely well done with difficult access, we would not hesitate to recommend S D Roofing to anyone.

In late April, in strong winds, a ridge tile came off my roof. I consulted a surveyor and found that all the main ridge tiles were in need of re-fixing and or replacement. Being a Which member, I consulted the trusted traders list and contacted Simon from SD Roofing in Tewkesbury. He was most helpful from the start and he visited my house, confirming that the main ridges did need attention. I had thought that another ridge over my garage might need attention, but Simon pointed out that it currently did not need any work doing. However the verge at the front of the gable end did indeed need work. The final work, including supplying the scaffold, was completed on 20th July. Overall the timescale was three months start to finish. I do not feel this was too excessive as the company had to cope with high winds and rain and then later the mega heat in early July. The finished job is excellent and was all completed in one day. I can thoroughly recommend this company.

Our roof had been badly damaged during past repairs to a parapet in 2008. Attempts to patch it up over the years had failed. SD Roofing recommended a new roof. They were flexible in their approach. They found the type of slate used along our terrace was different from what we had ordered, so they made sure we had the right material. They also addressed the concerns of a neighbour about the join between the houses, and this was very successful. They liaise closely with the scaffolders so the scaffolding arrives and leaves exactly when needed. They pick good weather - obviously important. They left a smart new weatherproof paintwork finish around the gutters. Working at very high level, 60 feet above ground, is no problem to SD Roofing! I thoroughly recommend them. Very pleasant and efficient.

I had previously employed Simon to replace some roof tiles and at the time mentioned to him that I was looking for someone to replace some rotten woodwork on my black & white house. He said he would be very happy to carry out the work as he enjoyed carpentry as well as his usual roof work. We agreed a fair price and he undertook the work to a high standard. Following a recommendation from a neighbour, I called Simon after having other quotes to repair our bungalow roof. Simons quote was reasonable and once the weather was better he started the job. Excellent work and completed very quickly. The work was required from poor build quality on the roof. We had lumps of cement falling from the roof into the garden. Simon gave me a quote within a couple of days and scheduled the work in. He and his colleague completed the whole job in a day and there wasn't any mess or sign that they had been there except the roof now looking 100%. Also gave me the chance to look at the work from the scaffolding to check I was happy. Great service and the price was the best quote we received. I very much doubt if we had gone with the first quote, the quality of the work would have been as good. Highly recommended and would definitely use them again

I contacted SD Roofing on the morning of the sixth of May regards a blocked gutter which was causing water running off the roof to overspill into my front garden. That afternoon Simon turned up sorted the blockage in his usual efficient manner.

I like to support local businesses when I can, so it was SD Roofing that I contacted (via the Get a Free Quote option on their website) when a ridge tile was blown off of my garage roof during Storm Eunice. Acknowledgement of my enquiry was almost immediate, in the form of an email asking for some additional information so that Simon could give me an accurate quote. I received the quote before the end of the same day and the work was carried out the following morning. On the morning the work was carried out, Simon phoned me to tell me that he and his team would be arriving within the hour - which they did. The work site was left as tidy as they found it. SD roofing came and gave an estimate for a flat roof replacement and a timescale. Bad weather delayed this and he advised me of a revised time for the work. When he arrived to carry out the work, upon further investigation he advised that he felt a repair was sufficient to prevent the water ingress. They were both very helpful and supportive of my issue. The bill arrived and he had reduced the cost accordingly because of the reduction of work that was carried out. I would recommend the company to any other people who might need repairs as I felt they were very honest with the work that was required and the costing.

We contacted Simon and agreed a fully insulated roof with EPDM, rubber membrane surface, new facias and gutters and plasterboard inside, all plastered. Simon kept regularly in touch so that we could aim for dates that coincided with dry weather. He and his team arrived and carried out the work precisely on the agreed days and to the agreed specification and budget. Their work cannot be faulted and we are delighted with the finished article and cannot praise Simon and his team highly enough.

We contacted Simon on the basis of these reviews and can now relate to the experiences of previous customers. Simon is an excellent communicator and it is very reassuring when you have a leaking roof! Simon responds to emails super promptly and then does what he says he is going to do. He gave us a date once he had a good weather window and arrived with Ben as arranged. The main job was to replace aging roof valleys that leaked and a secondary job was to add new lead flashing to a roof that adjoins a flat roof. Simon explained what he was doing fully and tidied up at the end of each day. As we live in an older property with a roof to match, we are likely to need a roofer again sometime and we know who to call when we do!

Simon repaired the tiled edge of our roof above the gable end, the repair looks very tidy and looks like it will last a long time. After finishing the job Simon showed me the work and I could clearly see he had been thorough and done quite a bit more than I had first expected may be needed to make sure the repair integrates well with the existing roof. He even took a look at my chimney lead at the same time which I only mentioned to him on the day he arrived to fix the tiles. Simon kept us up to date from the point we asked him to do the work to when he was actually able to fit us in, which was a few weeks as he already had other work booked in and the weather has been terrible recently. I never needed to chase him up for an update like some tradesmen! His quote was very reasonable and competitive considering we had to have scaffold erected as well. I will definitely ask him to look at any other roof work we need done in the future.

Simon did our lead flashing in August and I got a quote from him for doing flat roofing for our kitchen extension as our existing one was old plastic style roofing and leaking. He came and did a quote for us and due to the nature of the job as it was dependent on the weather, he gave us a date to start the job which had to be delayed slightly because all it did was rain and he needed approx 2 days to ensure that job was done. He kept us informed and checked the weather forecast and then in the middle of October we got a day without rain so he brought in extra helpers to do the roof and got it completed on the day as it was due to rain again. He organised a plasterer and electrician to come in the following week to finish off the work for us. It is so nice to know that when it rains now, there is no leaking going on and as we have a different roof on we don't hear the noise of the rain anymore.

We had an old corrugated asbestos roof on a prefab garage that leaked, crumbled and was generally horrible. SD roofing came along to strip the asbestos off, built a whole new timber and OSB roof structure and laid the EPDM sheet on top, even sealing it onto next door's asbestos roof neatly. All done easily within one day. It's now been a few days and we've had the remnants of a tropical storm drop 4" of rain on it with no trace of any leaks - the inside of the garage already 'smells dry' for the first time in years and I can start using it again!

We had a serious roof leak during the storm on 23 December 2020. It appeared to be coming in from around the chimney. I had no idea who to call and looked on the trusted traders web site. SD Roofing were local for me and they had 5* ratings. I therefore asked Simon for a quote. He came around the following day and I received a quote the next day that I was more than happy with. I called him back and he promised me he would get the job done within 2 weeks. As good as his word he was on site within 10 days. On arrival his van was spotlessly clean and they both looked very professional with the way they acted and set up their stall. Soon on the job and it was obvious they knew exactly what they were doing. On completion a very tidy and neat quality job and it was plain to see that they were very proud of their own work. We are delighted with the quality of the repair and I am asking them to do another job of removing an un-used chimney. Simon was a pleasure to work with. He replaced three flat dormer roofs and a large flat garage roof; and also fixed some lead work and re-bedded ridge tiles. He was responsive to queries; the price was competitive; the work was completed in the timeframe that he gave when he was asked for the quotation; his work was very tidy and all debris was removed; and the standard of his workmanship appears to be excellent. The garage roof was leaking badly - not surprising given that the membrane was lifting and was rotting the boards beneath. Simon was able to give an estimate within days similar to two other companies and a personal recommendation persuaded me to put the work his way. I am glad I did. I found, by sheer chance, what looked like water marks on my stairwell ceiling. Not knowing any roofers I searched on Trusted traders and found Simon. Instantly contacted him and within 24 hours he came to look at problem and thought it wasn't too great a problem. However turned out to be a bigger job than thought. Some of my roof batons were totally rotten, plus some new felting and tile replacements needed as well as chimney leading having attention. Tiles 60+ years old so Simon had to go to reclamation yard to search for replacements. Nothing was too much for him. What was supposedly a small job turned into an awkward job. In spite of all this the original quote held. Simon still completed all this in a day. Him and his mate were totally professional and courteous throughout and I was told about all stages. Simon gave a very competitive quote to install an EPDM rubber membrane on our dormer roof. He was able to do the work quickly. He and his team arrived on time and worked all day. It was finished within the day and was completed to a high standard. His team were very helpful and friendly (cups of tea much appreciated!) When finished they took all the debris with them and cleaned up thoroughly. We highly recommend and would contact him again without hesitation if we needed any roof repairs.

Because Simon completed the first job we asked him to do so well we asked him to do some further roofing work. Once again following a competitive quote he undertook the work, which was the repair of our chimneys, in his usual professional and friendly way. Prompt and efficient work completed and advice given that we didn't need as much doing as had been thought so he even reduced the original quote. He also removed a redundant t. v. aerial and replaced some slipped tiles all at no additional cost. He tidied up everything completely. I have no hesitation in recommending him and should we need any more roofing work we will go to him first.

Simon arranged to come and have a look at the lead flashing on the front of our house which had slowly come away over the years and also requested a photo of what needed to be done. He could see straight away what needed to be done. He messaged me with a quote which I was happy with and kept me informed by text of when he could do the work. I asked if the work could be done before the storms were due and he checked the weather forecast and confirmed when he could do it. We were actually away when he did the work for us but we received photos from my neighbour (as I forgot to ask him for them) and could immediately see he had done a brilliant job. We have since asked him to do another quote for us for our extension roof which is leaking and needs to be replaced with a new one.

Simon got off to a great start by turning up at exactly the time promised to assess the job. A very reasonable quote followed and we agreed to proceed. The flat roof was in a terrible state and had been leaking off and on for 20 years and despite patching it up myself at regular intervals we needed professional help. They stripped the roof of its various different coverings, cut out the appropriate holes for the lanterns and re boarded the whole area before putting down a rubber membrane. The flat roof covered a large L shaped area and the rubber went down on a scorching day but the team stopped until almost 7'o'clock to complete this as heavy rain was forecast the following day. After a delay (nothing to do with the team) the sky lanterns arrived and were fitted and now the roof and the sky lanterns look great. Throughout the job Simon shared progress, ideas and was happy to answer any questions we had. They arrived on time each day, were polite and a pleasure to have around as well as keeping everywhere tidy. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to carry out any work you may need.

Simon started by giving a very competitive quote to remove our asbestos and leaky garage roof and replace it with a roof now guaranteed for 20 years. Once accepted he liaised with other tradesmen working on our house and quickly and efficiently carried out the work to our total satisfaction. Simon and his assistant were friendly, helpful and professional in every way. Because asbestos was involved he arranged for a specialist company to take it away once removed from the garage. Those arrangements went flawlessly and neither that company nor S&D left any mess. This was done at a difficult time with coronavirus issues everywhere but they adhered to all the extra restrictions so we, and they, felt perfectly comfortable while they were carrying out the work. We are now arranging for them to undertake further roofing work on the house which shows the level of confidence we have.

We recently moved in to a new house to find that the garage roof was leaking. As it is also part of the flat roof covering a porch and internal storage cupboard it was important to have it repaired as soon as possible. Being new to the area we knew nothing of the local tradesman so we had a good look at the Which? Trusted Traders website and chose SD Roofing. Following a telephone call Simon came out to have a look at the problem and suggested an EPDM rubber membrane solution. He forwarded a written quote the next day by email, which compared favourably to a quote from another company for a felt solution. Once we decided to go ahead Simon said he would order the materials and hopefully start the job within the next couple of weeks. Simon and Ben turned up promptly on the day and got straight on with the job. They removed the stone chippings and old felt edging, and installed new boards and the membrane. The roof was completed with black aluminium edging, which provides a very neat finish. Simon and Ben were polite throughout the job. We went out at regular intervals with tea and they were happy to tell us what was going on at each stage. They cleared up after the job and took away all the rubbish. The invoice arrived promptly by email and was as per the quote. Overall a reliable and organised company and we would be happy to use them again.

Simon was efficient, friendly and prompt in starting the work of stripping very old and leaking tarred felt and replacing with OSB boards covered with EPDM membrane, complete with fall and trims. All the waste was removed and the flat roof they worked from was left swept and clean. We will use SD Roofing again for further work.

Simon has provided an efficient service to repair a chimney stack. He explained carefully the work needed and liaised at each stage. The ‘before’ and ‘after’ photographs he provided are very helpful. Simon ‘s invoice was less than his quotation as he didn’t need all the materials he thought he would need. This honest approach is reflective of his straightforward approach to his work. We are really pleased with the excellent job Simon & Ben have done on our roof. They removed all the tiles to re-felt the roof and replace the wooden battens, then put the tiles back on replacing any broken ones and then fitted new ridge tiles and trim. The work was very competitively priced. They are reliable, punctual, hard working and tidied up each evening taking away the waste materials. The were very easy to talk to about the job and explained every step of the repair, answering all our questions with great patience giving us total confidence in their work. Simon removed, raised and replaced our garage roof and also erected some partition walls and plasterboarded the walls and ceiling ready for the plasterer within. SD Roofing gave me a sensible quote to rectify a damp patch in my ceiling and, on arrival, recommended the removal of moss from the roof. Simon and his colleague, Ben, worked hard and examined the flashing around the chimney and all the tiles. He also replaced damaged cement under an edge tile. I called SD (Simon) Roofing for a quote and timescale as to when they could repair the roof to my garden summerhouse. This was done very efficiently and very competitively. The old roof was removed and replaced wish OSB boards, which was then covered with EPDM. This is a great material which should out live the building. I would highly recommend Simon and his colleague.
