Alister arrived promptly to quote, offered a fair price for the work, and communicated promptly. He installed 11 replacement doors and also replaced some hinges on other doors that weren't being replaced. The doors are fitted well, and he cleared up afterwards. Alister was prompt and kept to his proposed times, and was a very pleasant person to have working in the house. We are very happy with our choice of craftsman and would highly recommend him.

Alister came out on time and date requested , very prompt service, This is not the first time we have used Shakespeare Carpentry, so we knew the work was going to be excellent, and it certainly was. Fitted the doors and fitting with no fuss, then completed the two custom covers, we need to cover awkward pipe work,and they looked absolutely amazing when completed. He was very clean and tidy, and cleaned up afterwards on both days he done the work, which was very good of him. I needed new pipework to be boxed in the match existing boxing. Alister responded promptly for my request for a quote and turned up at the agreed date and time. It was only a small job but he did a great job and was very pleasant, efficient and tidy and invoiced me as per quote. He will be my first port of call if I need a carpenter again.

Alister installed 11 internal doors and dividing doors plus reconstructed an external doorway into the garden. His quote was provided promptly and the final invoice was exactly as quoted. The latest job completed by Alister at our home has been the boarding of the central area of our loft. This required the use of adaptive materials to suspend the boarding above the deep loft insulation. The finished result is very pleasing. It has transformed the area into very useful space and we are arranging for him to return to board another loft area soon. Previously, in December, Alister fitted a new loft hatch and loft ladder for us - also very well done.

Alister is a pleasure to deal with. From the time I requested a quotation to completion of the work I was kept fully informed about times, what work was being done and if there were any adjustments to be made they would be discussed before the work was carried out. Alister was in my house over 4 days and I felt completely happy leaving him there while I went to work. The work I had done included hanging an internal door and fitting a lock, re-configuring 2 built-in wardrobes (removing the old sliding door structure and replacing with bespoke opening cupboard doors) and building a superb under stairs cupboard and shelving unit as per a picture provided. He is very clean and tidy and his work is to a very high standard. All old materials were removed each day and I came home to a spotless home. I have already booked in the next job with Alister and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Alister spent a considerable time reviewing the job and explaining his recommended solution to me. As an older woman on her own, I appreciated this. I felt at all times that Alister knew exactly what he was about. The fence was OK but some of the posts had given way. The answer was to support each post with a well dug and concreted in short post which was then attached to the original post with 2 metal plates and 2 coach. A photo. would have been helpful here. He also solved a problem to do with indoor shutters, one of which scraped the wooden floor. A lack of knowledge on the part of the installer which Alister recognised immediately and then put right. A simple solution but one for which I was very grateful. I would thoroughly recommend Alister to anyone.

Alister attended my property promptly and issued a quote for the work, in a very quick time, the quote was also an excellent price. The seven doors were of metric size, and difficult to obtain, but through his perseverance and diligence, he obtained the required doors and established a time and date to suit for the work to be done. His time keeping is absolutely impeccable, and all the work done to the highest order, area was left clean and tidy afterwards, and answered all questions professionally. Work was carried out to a high standard, very tidy, and cleaned up thoroughly after works were completed. They ensured we were happy with all aspects of the job before leaving. Loft hatch and ladder - bespoke Great customer service. Turned up as promised, quote provided in good time. Discussed different option so we were able to choose what was best for us, type v's cost. Very clean and tidy took away all waste. One draw back is we have more work planned for him.

The work was completed in 1 day, to an exceptional standard and agreed price. The old doors were taken away too. Could not fault the workmanship in any way. The doors look absolutely brilliant. Alister, arrived on time - He repaired the fencing, fitted 2 new posts and installed a pair of Bartley gates which he had ordered alone with the door furniture. The gates are lovely far better quality than I thought they would be. Great work, quality service I would definitely recommend him.

Almost two years after his last job fitting interior doors for us, Alister returned to fit three more doors. This time they were half glazed interior doors and the door stops had to be removed and replaced. All in all a very neat job, undertaken in the prescribed time (just half a day) and billed according to the estimate.
