We were forced to retrofit a water softener into our newly fitted kitchen after falling for the sales hype of Halcyan Water Conditioners. Huge mistake on our part because unlike a water softener, the water conditioner did not prevent the build-up of limescale on difficult to access areas such the underside of popup sink plugs. We also found the Halcyan water conditioner shortened the service interval of our Quooker boiling water tap significantly (from circa 2 years to just 6 months!) because the build up of limescale that accumulated at the bottom of the tank blocked the filter and delivery pipe! Also, it appeared to do nothing in terms of reducing water hardness. Richard was able to schedule the installation within a week or so of visiting us. The unit is easy to is easy to access, making the replacement of the salt blocks an easy task. The pipework is neatly laid out, minimising the loss of cupboard space. Good choice - unlike the Halcyan which has been removed!

A welcome, straightforward transaction to replace a 20 year old water softener that was no longer working. An initial call identified the issue and a couple of suitable replacement softeners were recommended. We made our choice and a couple of weeks later the new one was fitted. A week on from that, we are now noticing much better water in both of our bathrooms. We appreciated the 'no drama' and straightforward approach to the problem we had in an area of very hard water.
