Silkflow Water Softeners was established in 1987.
We are Independent Water Treatment Specialists and carry out all installations and maintenance of water softeners and drinking water filteration systems.
We can supply a wide range of water softeners including non electric block salt softeners and electric timed and metered water softeners so we can advise you on the right softener for your specific requirements.
We supply and deliver block salt, tablet salt, and granular salt.
We can supply and fit a wide range of filter cartridges and taps for drinking water systems.
When you contact Silkflow Water Softeners you will speak to either Sharon or Richard.
Richard carries out all the installations,repairs and servicing and he will also deliver your salt.
We cover all areas of Bucks,Berks,Herts and Oxon.

This family-run company was recommended by a friend and was happy to provide an obligation-freee quotation. The plumber turned up on time for both the assessment visit and the subsequent fitting. I was confident throughout that he knew what he was doing and he proved communicative. The job took about two hours, there was minimal mess and full instructions were provided afterwards. The price was competitive and we were perfectly happy with the work done. Very happy with our modern new softener, which should be cheaper to run and much easier to load than our previous tablet salt electricity-powered machine. He also serviced our water filter while he was here and we will in future take advantage of his keenly priced salt blocks.

Breakdown of Water Softener - 8+ years old - handled quickly and efficiently. Problem identified. Appliance needed replacement. Fully explained, options are given - new or repair -and acceptable quote on price for a new appliance provided. Work done quickly, the area around the "site" protected and all left clean and tidy. A job well done.

Richard quoted to install water softener and gave installation date on this visit. He arrived promptly, used protected sheets and followed Covid guidelines. He encountered an unforeseen problem with the water feed to the fridge but overcame this and there was no additional cost for the extra work. Once finished, he tidied up and explained the operation of the softener well. All in all, a great job.

Richard came and quoted to install a new water softener. He came to visit us to look at our current plumbing and advised us on options. We received a reasonable quote. Excellent communication with Sharon at their office. The work was carried out meticulously and according to the quote. We are very happy with our softener and the entire installation process. I had a water softener fitted because I knew the benefits from my previous home. We have just moved here and the water is hard. The work was carried out efficiently, everything was explained and I was consulted when something different had to be done. We also had a drinking water tap with filter fitted. Everything is working perfectly. Richard had previously fitted a softener at my sons house, so I know the work was good. I would definitely recommend Silkflow. Good work, very tidy, very polite arrived on time! 10/10

I was very impressed with the service Richard/Silkflow gave when having a new water softener installed. I initially called to ask some questions about the softeners they sell/install, and Richard answered all my questions and was quick to give me a price. I received a text message the day before the installation date, with a time window that Richard would come which I appreciated and he arrived on time. The install looks clean, is working fully and Richard also explained how to fill the unit, when and how the machine may behave differently to my previous softener (first time using a non-electric softener that takes blocks rather than tablet). Silkflow - Thanks for the personable service! It's too common now to have to fill in a webform where someone may or may not get back to you!

Silkflow was recommended to me by another highly rated provider / installer who didn't cover my area. A consultation visit was arranged promptly and Richard talked me through the pros and cons of all options clearly - which were previously a mystery to me. The quote was lower than expected, and install was arranged promptly. On the day of install Richard was prompt, and he's a super friendly lovely guy to have in your home. There was some tricky pipework to manage but he handled it effortlessly and the install / cleanup was immaculate. Really thrilled with how the whole process was handled, and my new lovely soft water.

Richard was incredibly helpful and professional when taking out my old water softener and replacing it with a new one. He was also swift and skilled at fixing a blockage and replacing valves and pipework. He has also replaced the filters in my water filter. He explained everything clearly and was honest in his assessment of the valves which didn’t need replacing as he first suspected, so adjusted the invoice accordingly to reflect a slight reduction.
