Silkline Decorating was formed in 1986 in Lowestoft, Suffolk by David Reeve. David served a four year apprenticeship at Brooke Marine shipbuilders and Lowestoft college of Further education achieving craft and advanced craft certificates in painting and decorating.
After spending 14 years in Lowestoft working on various contracts from Luxury yacht interiors to grade two listed buildings David moved to London and continued to carry out a wide variety of contracts. Silkline Decorating mainly specialize in domestic interiors and exteriors but will consider all enquires in the decorating field. The company is now based back in Lowestoft and although still serving long standing customers in the capital it is also aiming to provide a service to new customers in and around the Lowestoft area.

David provides a very reliable and professional service with great attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble and he is able to provide valuable advice and guidance. David Reeve of Silkline redecorated my flat. An estimate and timescale were provided in advance - the work was carried out to budget and on time. We discussed the paint to be used and the colour scheme. David is a true craftsman who always does an excellent job - preparing the surfaces with care before starting with the painting. Good quality paint is used. The finish is perfect. He does a professional job that will last. He is helpful and obliging and can be left to get on with the job, leaving everything tidy each evening. I have no hesitation in recommending Silkline Decorating.

David has recently completed a re-decoration of the inside of my flat and it looks wonderful. To achieve this very high standard, preparation and attention to detail are the key factors. He is very helpful, flexible and an excellent problem solver. He was tidy and cleared up each day and I was impressed that at the end he cleaned my windows so i saw the finished result in the best possible light. I thoroughly recommend him.

David has completed both external and internal decorating jobs for us, all to an exceptionally high standard. He prepares thoroughly and the finish is as near perfect as is possible. Internally, he repaired and re-skimmed old Victorian plaster which had been papered over to achieve a good surface and finish. He has just completed the external decoration of our three-storey house for the second time. He is competent and willing to do small repair jobs, e.g. fixing a guttering problem and re-attaching a radiator to a wall. Everything is left clean and tidy! I have no hesitation in recommending Silkline.
