I am a local business man who has taken my love and passion for the flooring world and grown it over 20 years with a fleet of highly accredited fully employed ‘Super Squad’ of expert fitters. Opening a family run shop managed by my fiancé and close family friend 5 years ago has established us as a widely respected company around Bath, Bristol and London with an impressive client base of both domestic and commercial work. We offer a rare in this day and age old fashioned customer service, where attention to detail and genuine educated advice is our signature work ethic recognised in our impressive review platforms. Great service, my toddler is potty training and full of energy but the fitters were so lovely to him and did a perfect job. Very accommodating, friendly and terrific workmanship. Highly recommend.

Simon Davis laid carpets in all the bedrooms, stairs and landing, and LVT in our hall, cloakroom and living/dinning area. From the first phone call to the final invoice they were professional, friendly and helpful. We couldn’t move in to our house until the flooring was laid, and after some poor service from another flooring company, Simon Davis swooped in to save the day, squeezing us in when they had a last minute change in their schedule. All the staff we dealt with were lovely and I’m so pleased we went with them. Our floors also look great and it’s really made the house look fantastic. If you’d like professional high levels of customer care I’d recommend Simon Davis Flooring.

An old carpet was removed and laminate flooring installed. The apartment was left very clean and all done in a timely manner. The installation was of a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My first experience was why I go back to them. There was an accident and they fixed it quickly and with no fuss/dispute. I have used them again since and am going to be one more room done. Ann Marie is so helpful and got me measured and found a remnant for a room ruined flooring due to leak in one week. The fact that I don't have to pay a fitter cash on the day is a bonus. Prices are good and they go out of their way to find you what you want without pressure

We used Simon Davis flooring for two major jobs in our house, and were so impressed I also used them for a new floor at my workplace too. The showroom offered loads of options and the staff were so helpful in offering advice and suggestions. Two out of three of the jobs were anything but straight forward but the team were brilliant and worked so hard to find solutions, even coming back to tweak something we weren't totally happy with. The new floors have been fitted brilliantly and the quality of the flooring is amazing. It has utterly transformed both spaces in our home! We're now planning and saving for our next new floor and we will definitely use Simon Davis Flooring again. We were not only impressed with the flooring and fitting, but the ethics of the business - they look after their team and are a local, independent family-run business that we are pleased to support. I would highly recommend them and have done so many times to friends and neighbours already!

I had a total house fitting after a refurbishment. The property has no skirting boards which could have presented a problem but the finish to the carpet and vinyl is fantastic. In addition customer service was excellent with real care being shown towards me. I would not hesitate to recommend Simon Davis to other people.

We had a very negative experience with Simon Davis Flooring. Floor laying was fine but the floor layers got glue and some other substance up the wall and on a brand new oak door. None of this was rectified despite 100% promises to come and assess the damage over a period of about two weeks. Simon even said that other tradespeople must have caused the damage despite the fact that we saw the spoilt door on the day that the men damaged it. This is calling us liars. We paid these people all of the money straight away and like so many traders they don’t want to know once you have paid them. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s how you rectify them that counts.

We would just like to take a moment to rectify the comments in this review. It is correct that some adhesive was left on the floor, a clear substance. We had a member of staff return on a Sunday to clean this after in your words ‘the floor is beautiful we love it’ but there was some glue left because they worked so hard and late into the night where it was dark. We agreed this was us and had someone back within a fortnight on very limited staff with the majority on furlough. We explained several times from the director of the company to the fitter who came on a Sunday for you that the door with stains was NOT from us. We explained this to you, came and looked at it and explained to you the products we used were green primer and grey latex. The stains on your door were neither of these and given the amount of trades you had in we explained this substance couldn’t be us. We communicated throughout on reduced staff, we had someone back as soon as was humanly possible and your beautiful floor was cleaned thoroughly with the adhesive removed. If the door was the same substance the same practise would of been used here, but it wasn’t. We are currently in the middle of a pandemic and rose above and beyond to accommodate you and your family leaving you with a stunning floor and the job we promised. You told us without us paying for a new door you would leave a bad review and we hope our customers can see from the other over a hundred 5 star only reviews that not only do the other 99% of our customers disagree with this but we simply cannot bow down to threats because we refuse to pay for another trades damages. We wish you well but must stick up for ourselves morally as the comments above do not reflect the hard work carried out, the way we accommodated you due to your need for the flooring to be done faster than we could even manage during a pandemic and then moved heaven and earth to achieve for you. We hope anyone reading this also takes the time to read the over 100 five star only reviews left by our customers over the past several years on Which? and other platforms.
