I contacted Simon when I found a significant leak in our sitting room. He responded quickly by coming to assess the situation that afternoon. He returned the next day to replace the gutter, which was the cause of the problem. He is friendly and reliable, and the standard of his work is excellent. He had no problems identifying what was wrong and correcting it. He can be trusted to keep to arrangements he has made. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Friendly and approachable from the first time of asking for their advice for a small flat roof holding water and not draining away properly and beginning to impact on the indoor ceiling. Quote received within 2 days and which wasn’t altered when work was completed. Work carried out within a week of receiving the accepted quote and in just one day to an excellent standard. Everything was tidied up and left as it was before the work started and any rubbish was taken away. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

We’re very pleased with the work Simon did to remove our chimney stack. He was easy to deal with both electronically and in person and delivered what had been agreed. He responded promptly and came round when he said he would. He gave us practical advice as to our options when quoting and didn’t recommend more complicated work than was necessary. He took the time to reassure our neighbours when they had concerns about the work leaving dust on their property and even helped them put dust sheets on their conservatory. The scaffolder, skip hire and aerial technician that he worked with/recommended were all good too.

Simon replaced the soffit boards, facias and guttering to our property. The quotation provided was clear and the costs very reasonable for the quality of workmanship and materials. The work started when agreed and was completed quickly without any issues. Scaffolding and skip delivery and pickup were very well arranged. Everything was cleared out of the way by Monday morning after the work completed on Friday. Finally, the invoice came quickly and matched the estimate. Simon is a friendly, and professional local craftsman who I’d be happy to recommend.

Simon promptly gave me a detailed quote in June 2024. He was not able to carry out the work immediately because of a build up of work and a knee injury. He was able to carry out the work by early November. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently in a morning. All the old roofing material was tidied up into a skip which was removed shortly afterwards. We are very happy with the new roof. The original quoted price, from June, was maintained.

I noticed water damage to wall in upstairs bedroom. I got Simon’s details from Which. Simon arrived as arranged, on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem as cracks in the lead box gutter. He carried out the repair there and then, and said he would post his invoice to me. His charges were very reasonable for the work carried out. I particularly liked the fact that Simon took photos of the roof to show me the problem.

Simon came to assess the work required promptly, and I received his estimate within 4 days. The four required jobs were scheduled efficiently, from the erection of the scaffolding on two sides of the house to its removal 7 working days later. The two roofers carried out three of the jobs as quoted very effectively within three days but, after cleaning around the Velux window, advised me to monitor the problem there as it could have been caused simply by the build-up of debris. If need be, they would return to install any new flashing at a later date. I was impressed by this suggestion as it was honest and also saved me some money. I would have no hesitation in recommending Simon Meadwell for roofing work.

After slippage, I needed some ridge tiles re-positioning and re-pointed, a handful of roof tiles replacing and a new cowl fitting on the chimney. Simon was very prompt with the initial viewing, quotation and work undertaken. He arrived at the times stated and the work was done quickly and efficiently with no mess. I would definitely recommend Simon.

I had vegetation growing on my chimney and contacted Simon Meadwell Roofing to undertake its removal and any repairs necessary. I am well aware there are some cowboys in the roofing industry and was attracted to use Simon because of the Which Trusted Trader status which gave me reassurance that whatever work was done was necessary and done correctly. He attended promptly to tell me what work would be necessary and provide a quotation which I accepted. I was also advised at the time of the approximate time when the work could be done. There was a wait for the work to start and this was slightly longer than first thought but I fully appreciate the roofing industry subject to weather etc. As the start date neared I was of the date the scaffolding would be erected and of the date the work would start. Simon arrived very promptly on the start date and with his colleague started work immediately. I was advised as the work progressed of any additional work which closer examination of the chimney revealed. The work was done very efficiently and my property left clean at all times. Very happy with the outcome.

My roof, which is 64 years old, required replacement of a small area of underfelt and re-pointing of one of the valleys. This was carried out promptly and efficiently after a helpful inspection and explanation.

Simon was recommended and has a good reputation locally . I made contact with Simon and requested if he could provide me with a quote to completely replace my double garage flat roof. Simon is a pleasant chap, He informed at the time it would be a couple of months before he could start the job if I accepted the quote. He viewed the job and provided me with a quote which was comparable with another quote I had been given, I accepted his quote and Simon informed me he would be in touch nearer the time. Simon made contact with me when he was ready and date agreed which was suitable to us both. The job took two days from start to finish, very clean work man, no mess, Very good quality workmanship, exceeded my expectation on the total package, very pleased.

Gable end of semi - upgraded and replaced various bits and bobs as required - bargeboard, fascia, guttering. Also advised me on work that was not needed which saved time and worry. Competitive quote and sound professional work. All of Simon's colleagues were great as well

Simon had recently done some roof work for me, which completely resolved a persistent problem so I asked him to help re-grout and site the coping stones on my garage roof. It was a fiddly job as he and his mate had to approach via the neighbouring park but they did a great job and carried it out completely according to plan. They are genuine and friendly guys who really just want to do a good job. I would recommend them without hesitation.
