Thankfully I got in touch with Smart Energi to check my solar panel setup. Garth spent hours checking the system, sadly the work done by other companies was not done correctly and shoddy and to make matters worse had told me untruths. After a very stressful time, I can now relax knowing that I am dealing with a completely trustworthy company. I would also like to thank Brenda for her help and patience.

Here is an honest review of my recent solar install by Smart Energi. I absolutely 100% recommend Smart Energi and Gareth for anyone considering a solar install. I wanted solar panels for several reasons: 1) energy prices are only going to continue rising, 2) I want to be able to power my house during the frequent power cuts in my village, and 3) I want to use cleaner energy for the environment. I did my research and decided to contact Smart Energi because they are MCS accredited, as per Which? Trusted Trader and was local to me. It took a few weeks to get an appointment with Gareth for an initial home visit, and immediately from speaking with him, it was obvious he knew solar and general electrical work inside and out. As we discussed my needs, he suggested several things I’d not considered and made it clear that installing to suit the customer is more important to him than an install that is easier for his team to achieve. Gareth is incredibly detailed, and as a result, it took a while to get proposals back, but they were thorough, clear, and provided 3 options. I chose an 8.1kWp SolarEdge system with 10kWh battery storage, a 6kW inverter, 18 Trina Vertex S+ 450W panels, and a home backup system. Once I chose the system, there was a bit of a gap before installation could start, primarily due to a DNO application needing approval (to connect to the grid). The installation experience was exceptional. Gareth and his team worked incredibly hard.

From initial enquiry to completion and commissioning, the service, expertise, installation, customer support and aftercare was excellent.

Absolutely best customer service I've ever had. My original supplier ceased trading and Smart Energi took over the completion of my installation helping me secure all the relevant paperwork and connections. From the original enquiry to the office to completion kept me informed all the way. On top of that the workmanship is excellent. Would highly recommend this company.

Smart energy fitted solar panels and batteries under difficult circumstances on a slate roof. Gareth is very knowledgably and an expert in his field suppling very comprehensive details involving costs and return. Exceptionally clean and tidy work done with an incredibly positive attitude considering weather was sometimes against them. The system is working as forecast, and we are very pleased with the outcome.

Smart Energi installed solar panels and inverter. I am very impressed by the neatness and efficiency of the work, even providing framed explanatory graphs alongside the system for future reference. The workmen were also very pleasant and helpful.

I asked Solar Edge to recommend an engineer to repair my solar fault and chose the nearest to my location they arranged a time to sort everything this was an intermittent fault so would be difficult to rectify NO problem they sorted the problem with a couple of cable connections that had water ingress they checked every panel (20) very efficient and very tidy knew exactly what they were doing highly recommended (just like to add I'm very sceptical with traders but I can honestly say they were excellent)

Tim supplied excellent detailed quotations for various scenarios. The advantages and disadvantages of each carefully explained. Gareth and his colleagues installed the equipment in a tidy and professional manner, always remaining flexible to any concerns of ours. The App shows we are already using solar power efficiently. When our inverter wasn’t working correctly I contacted SmartEnergi to ask them if they would be able to replace this. Tim accepted the job arranged for a replacement inverter from SolarEdge. Within a few days of the receipt of the new inverter Gareth came to fit this. He was very punctual and rang me to let me know when to expect him. On arrival he explained all he was doing and how the system worked and fitted the new inverter very speedily. I would have no hesitation to recommend SmartEnergi.

Smartenergi installed a Givenergy All-In-One battery system including an associated protected power supply, plus 3 additional PV cells to the roof. They listened to what I was seeking to achieve e.g. integration with our existing PV array and electric vehicle charger. They subsequently helped design a best fit solution not only to meet our needs now, but also importantly for the future, and at a fair cost. The quotes were produced promptly. They were happy to help me assess the designs refining them as appropriate to get the best solution. The installation was carried out in a very professional manner with excellent attention to detail, despite difficulties due to how my roof had been constructed. All the staff we met were reliable, considerate, and friendly The post installation support has also been good. I am confident to recommend them (which I have already done), based on their technical knowhow, prompt delivery, quality of work, support and price.
