New shower tray fitted to give lower entry and new doors of superior quality fitted; all carried out to agreed schedule; budget fine one surplus item to be taken into account; early stages of inspection and assessment of work needed, were very well done and explained; engineers involved were very pleasant, understanding and helpful, with all communications clear and concise; aftercare was explained and understood; all went smoothly; engineers were clean and their work complete and went a little further than others would have done to protect the property and they left the en suite sparkling; the work done was excellent and we are delighted; we would use this Group again with confidence

I had several reminders of my upcoming appointment followed on the day by a reminder that the engineer was on his way. He arrived on time, serviced the boiler and left everything neat and tidy. He also advised me on replacing a radiator which will take place this week. All very satisfactory.

Very professional and great at communicating; right from the initial enquiry through to the work carried out on site everyone was very friendly and polite. There were some issues, not the fault of Smart Gas, but we always felt that they were being proactive in looking for solutions and communicating to us throughout. Would highly recommend and we will be using Smart Gas to carry out future servicing following our new boiler installation.

I contacted them for my business to fix one wobbly tap and replace tap. The plumber came and stayed on site for 15 minutes and he fixed the wobbly and said he has to get the new tap for basin. He sent invoice for £108 as call out charge and quote £267 for the new tap replacement . So in total they this company wants to charge : £374 for fixing a wobbly tap and put a new tap. in Total for 1 hr job they want to charge : £374 . Never heard of call out charge for normal jobs only applicable for emergency only . when contested with the company they said callout is their business model so confirmed I am not interested with their service as these charges are a complete rip off

Engineer Cameron arrived before 9am on Tues 2nd Sept;carefully assessed the problem - the whirring had stopped by then, loo working properly as it had done, even when whirring started. Basin and shower also working well and as normal. Cameron was reluctant to break apart a tiled boxed unit housing the back of the toilet and was working out if the problem could be fixed without breaking into the box unit. He asked careful questions. I explained I had cleaned this guest bathroom on the 23rd August following a week of visitors. When cleaning the shower mopped out water in the trap - whirring started immediately. I thought it was the extractor fan & called an electrician out on Monday 24th. He established extractor fan was working properly; the whirring deceptively came from behind the loo. Figured out it was a Saniflo issue. Called Saniflo who wouldn't come out til I'd had a tiler break open the box wall (even though there is an access panel). A trusted plumber friend, Ryan, came to assess the situation - said it might not require such drastic damage to the bathroom. I happened to water back in the shower trap then. Ryan recommended Smartgas whom he works with all the time on his housing projects. Smartgas's lady on phone listened well, sent email saying engineer would probably fix in under 2 hours. He ran water in basin/ loo/ shower and identified I'd created an airlock in the system by drying the shower trap. All resolved! Small bill for 1 hour. Outstanding service.

Problem with hot water was resolved efficiently and quickly. The service was prioritised as disabled person resident at property and lack of hot water was a real issue. Staff polite, friendly and happy to give information. Job carried out well. No mess left after job. Laura who answered the phone to me also seemed to go the extra mile in ensuring we got the help and support we needed. Thanks to all staff involved.

I called up Smart Gas Solutions as I had used them before and was really pleased with their previous work. This time we had a leak and I called them up in quite a distressed state. The office team was so lovely, they calmed me down on the phone, advised me what to do in the emergency and sent their plumbers to investigate the issue really quickly. After a very careful diagnosis and work to stop the leak they felt that the boiler had reached the end of its life. It was an old system with a tank. The director of the company came to see us and discussed the various options with us and we opted for a new Combi boiler system to be fitted which was done in a very timely manner. All the plumbers that came to the house were really amazing, friendly, calm, reassuring and professional. The communication from the office staff and also the plumbers was excellent. When the actual boiler was fitted, it was done really brilliantly. The guys that were here arrived punctually and really respected our property. They worked incredibly hard throughout the entire job and explained everything to us very clearly regarding the boiler. They cleaned up meticulously too. I would highly recommend Smart Gas Solutions for any of your plumbing and boiler issues. They are a really great company to deal with and good value for money too. Our flat is now cosy and warm and we have lots of lovely hot running water again! Big thank you Smart Gas Solutions!

Using the Which? Trusted Traders website, we contacted Smart Gas Solutions about a leak that had occurred while the shower was running in our Edinburgh flat, sending water through our neighbour's ceiling below. We were able to book a non-emergency appointment for two days after the incident occurred. The engineer quickly ascertained that the problem was spillage from the shower tray, rather than any leak from the drain. He recommended adding a strip of plastic beading along the tray to prevent water escaping and returned after a week to carry out the work and re-seal the shower tray. The engineer and his office colleagues were friendly and clear about the work and what it would cost. We received helpful e-mail and text confirmation / reminders about the appointments made (two-hour slots). A good experience.

I had a new combi boiler installed and old boiler and water tank removed. Smart Gas were great all the way through - quick to respond to questions etc. when getting the quote and arranging the installation, then during the installation itself. They two engineers arrived punctually in the morning; everything got done in one day in the end. They were also lovely - really did their best to make things as easy as possible, to minimise disruption, and to deal with any issues that arose. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Smart Gas to anyone in Edinburgh.

Had a new boiler installed by Smart Gas Solutions it went like clockwork. Hard working and polite workmen. So helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.
