Smart Heating Edinburgh provides installation and maintenance services for boilers, central heating systems and domestic gas appliances.
As Gold Worcester-Bosch Accredited Installers we will work with you to design a system using the latest and most efficient boilers on the market, we are fully versed in the latest Smart Technologies and heating controls.

This is the third time I have used David and Mark over the past 3 years. They came and fitted a MagnaClean device alongside my old boiler, excellent results from that, they then fitted a new central heating system to my daughter's flat three floors up and finally carried out fitting a new boiler and dealt with renewing pipes and giving my system a service using the MagnaClean device in my own home yesterday. They are efficient, professional, courteous and very tidy and wouldn't hesitate recommending them to friends and family and last but not least, they explained all about the paperwork and safety checks. Money well spent, thanks guys.

David & Mark did an excellent job for us. This involved replacing an unreliable Keston boiler with a Worcester-Bosch 40kw 8000 Life Boiler and upgrading existing pipework. The work was done efficiently & with minimum disruption. Although some additional work was required to ensure the 10 year manufacturer parts & labour guarantee was effective this was done quickly & at minimum cost & inconvenience to ourselves. We would not hesitate to recommend David & Mark.

Smart Heating recently renewed my Central Heating boiler . They also flushed out my radiators and installed a Hive system. Mark and David fitted a new boiler and new column radiators in my tenement flat. They always arrived on time, were friendly, made sure to explain things (e.g., when a new radiator pipe couldn't be fitted exactly where we had discussed due to a hidden hearth, and how to work the Hive app), completed the job on time and left everything clean and tidy when they finished. Really pleased with the work and I would highly recommend them.

Our ancient boiler finally gave up the ghost and needed replacing urgently. David and Mark gave us a fixed quote, arrived exactly when they said they would, and finished the job exactly on time. They were both friendly and courteous at all times, worked unobtrusively and didn't leave any mess at all. David explained our replacement options thoroughly beforehand, making sure we got exactly what we wanted but didn't sign up for anything that was unnecessary, and the new heating controls (via an app on our phones) were thoroughly and clearly explained by Mark. In summary they did an excellent job and I could not fault them in any way. Thoroughly recommended!! PS Please ensure you have teabags in your house - a couple of cups of tea is the very least they deserve :-)

Mark & David recently replaced an existing boiler in our flat. They arrived at the stated time for both the initial survey & the actual installation. They were happy to take the time to answer any queries which we had. Mark and David were recommended to me by a friend at work. I needed all my radiators and old pipework replaced and they quoted a good price and were happy to talk me through the job so I understood everything that would be done. Also put my mind at ease that the rest of my system was fine rather than try to upsell a full boiler swap as others had done. They came across as very honest and knowledgeable. On the day of install, they arrived promptly and I left them to it. Returned from work to a clean and tidy house and you'd hardly know they had been there. Would highly recommend these lads. Professional, but relaxed and good quality of work.

Excellent service from two very knowledgeable and skillful engineers. Within two days of contacting the company David and Mark had visited my property and provided me with a fixed price quote. The replacement of my old boiler and pipework and the installation of a new radiator wasn’t straightforward but David and Mark found the optimum solution saving me time and money. Courteous and friendly they carried the work out over two days and at the end of each day left the rooms clean and tidy. Very pleased with their workmanship and I would highly recommend them.

Mark was very prompt to visit my home, and gave great no nonsense advice on fitting a new combi boiler to replace my broken down vintage unit. The job was to install a new boiler and central heating system to replace the old storage tanks and storage heaters. It was not the easiest of jobs as my floors are concrete, with restricted space underneath, but David and Mark are great problem solvers. They are efficient, knowledgeable and very hard working, and it was a pleasure to deal with them. They gave me a fixed price for the job and stuck to it. They were also flexible when it came to fitting in with other trades working in the house. I will certainly call on their skills again, and highly recommend them.

It is easy peasy to find engineers to install a new boiler or do a big job but almost impossible to find someone to come and fix problems on an existing one. I spent a considerable amount of time researching the Edinburgh contractors before I engaged Smart Heating Edinburgh Ltd which paid dividends on the day. The installation was first class and being a gold accredited installer the boiler has a ten-year Worcester guarantee. Only teething issues concerned fitting the slightly larger boiler into the existing cupboard housing which will require some joinery alterations for access to the filter and controls but this has nothing to do with the quality of the work on the day and can be expected when upgrading old appliances with modern equivalents.

After my existing boiler developed serious loss of pressure I asked Smart Heating to install a Worcester boiler as soon as possible. Although busy with other work, they took note of the urgency and managed to find a way to fit my job into their schedule. All the work was done professionally and thoroughly and the new system is performing well. The engineers arrived on time, were friendly, efficient and hard-working. After completing the job, their instruction on how to use the system was thorough and very helpful. The bill was exactly as per their fixed price quotation. I would recommend this company.

Smart Heating were doing work for us as a subcontractor for RHJ Contracts (i.e. we did not initially engage them ourselves to do the work). This work involved plumbing in an additional bathroom in the basement. Their work was exceptionally neat and they also gave good advice with regard to water pressure on our new shower. We also engaged them ourselves for relocating the boiler to a different floor of the house. Again, the work was very neat and they kept to their reasonable quote. Their advice was also honest - we asked about upgrading our hot water system, which they made clear was not necessary. However, to avoid the need for future work, we decided to go ahead with replacing our hot water system with a pressurised one. Once again, they gave us a fair quote for the work which they kept to. So overall we had some fairly extensive plumbing/heating jobs and in all cases their communication was good, their advice was trustworthy and helpful, the quality of their finish was very neat and they kept to their quotes. My husband is a former member of Which and we have used the trusted trader service in the past - the service offered by Smart Heating is definitely comparable with the quality of service we have received from other Which trusted traders and they are deserving of a place on the list.
