Tony and the team at Smarter Homes 4 You have done a great job creating a decking platform we needed. The guys on site were great, even the dog loved them. The decking was suggested as an alternative following a discussion around our original idea and it definitely is the better option. Changes were made and accommodated along the way with no issues. Tony came out to my apartment to measure up for a quote. He turned up on time as promised! I needed an extra stud wall, complete with sound insulation and one for fitted wardrobes to fit between. His guys started when he said they would. They were finished when they said they would be, and what really impressed me was they cleaned the wooden floor properly once they had finished. (when does that ever happen with tradesmen?) There were a team of 3 or 4 to get the job done quickly, and without any fuss. They were cheerful, helpful and polite. I wanted my attached garage converted to a study and selected Smarter Home 4U after careful research and feedback. It was one of the best choices I've ever made. Tony was very friendly and easy to talk to, and set out all the issues and planning milestones clearly and succinctly. The timetable was followed to the letter and the whole project was completed in the planned four weeks. The work carried out was meticulous, thorough and of the highest quality. Dave, Charlie, Ian and all the rest of the team were friendly, hardworking, and highly skilled craftsmen. After the day's work was done, everything was left neat and very tidy. This company have been a pleasure to deal with from the very start. They turned up on time, completed the work ahead of schedule and kept me updated throughout the process. I felt comfortable and confident that they were in my house without me present. The work was tidied away each night and the house was left clean when they had finished. The bathroom and work office they have created are completed to a very high standard and I am delighted with it. They have sent all paperwork through quickly. Having used Smater Homes 4U for a couple of small jobs, I used the positive experiences to get a quote/fit new UPVC windows and a patio door. The quote was very competitive and the fitter offered a couple of valuable suggestions for ease of use (low handles in harder to reach windows). I agreed the order details. Timescale from order to fitting was kept to and despite awful weather during the fitting process, the fitters were respectful of my property. Minor snags were quickly sorted on completion and I would recommend to anyone thinking of having similar work completed.

This is the second time I have used Smarter Home 4U to work on a property in Sale in Greater Manchester. This time around Tony and his team worked on an area of wall on the lower ground floor of the period property including doing some plastering work and fitting skirting boards. I have always found Tony to be reliable and a good communicator. I have also found him able to advise on what he thinks are the causes of issues in the property, which he can then work to address. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

Really pleased with Tony and his gang. Excellent quality of work, all very personable people, always on time, tidied up after themselves, very patient with my questions, exemplary aftercare to ensure I was fully satisfied with their work. Can happily recommend them. The work was a full shower room renovation, taking everything out and putting all back again: * retile three walls and floor * replace small section of floorboard * refit existing loo, basin + vanity unit * install new shower cubicle and refit existing electric shower * replace downlights.

Tony and his team undertook work at our house to convert our garage into 3 separate spaces; a store at the front, an office and a play room. I have nothing but high praise for Tony and his team, they went above and beyond all the way through the job. I contacted Tony about the job and he came to our house to look at what needed to be done and was very open and upfront about how much it would cost and how long it would take. We were very impressed with Tony’s professionalism right from the start, the quote was very competitive and compared to other quotes we received he clearly wasn’t trying to rip us off. We agreed to go ahead with the work and it was all done within 4 weeks which was amazing! We were given an estimate of 6-8 weeks but another job was put on hold so the team then focused all their efforts on completing ours which we appreciated massively. The work was carried out to an extremely high standard, the team were very friendly and always catered for our needs in the house around our three young children. They cleaned and tidied the house each day before leaving which was a nice touch and were very accommodating around us working from home. I used Smarter Homes 4 U as the builders of my single storey rear extension project. From the first meeting to get a quote, Tony was polite, helpful and honest. He gave me a sensible quote and explained the process of hiring his company to me. As someone who has never undertaken any building work before, I was somewhat nervous to start a big project. Tony and David made me feel completely at ease and able to ask any questions I had. Everyone who came to work on my build was polite, respectful of my home and friendly. The build went over schedule due to some extreme bad weather over the summer and then waiting for other contractors to finish. Tony and David were on hand to offer advice and help me make decisions I was unsure of. They also introduced me to other tradespeople such as a kitchen fitter who worked to the same high standards. The building work was done to a very high standard and nothing was left to chance. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the build and the service received from Smarter Homes 4U. I would thoroughly recommend them.

I have never been so impressed with a building firm as with Smarter Home 4U. They were excellent from beginning to end. The job was to improve our lounge by removing a fire place and chimney stack, opening up a wall to fit a French door, and putting in two new windows in the other external brick wall. It was a very messy, dusty business but they covered everywhere with protective sheeting. They were clean and tidy, friendly, and hard working. I was up against a tight deadline and they helped ensure the date was achieved. They kept me informed at every stage, and went the 'extra mile' to do a thoroughly good job. The whole team were great and I enjoyed having them here - although I have never before made so many cups of tea! I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The team at Smarter Homes were fantastic. They completed laying herringbone laminate flooring through out the entire flat, fitting new skirtingboards and fitted a new bathroom suite and accessories. The work was completed to high standard and I love it. I really appreciated the communication throughout and updates about any changes or issues that arose.

I was recently introduced to Smarter Home 4U Limited by a colleague, and it's been one of the best recommendations I have ever received. The quality of the work is outstanding, personnel friendly and accommodating, but what especially stands out is their versatility. Smarter Home 4U Limited have completed jobs both large and small, including electrics, bathroom and plumbing and joinery, achieving solutions with inventiveness where others had previously told us something could not be done. I engaged the above firm to make home improvements to my house so it would work for me. They took down an old lean too and window and made a Patio door opening with a more than standard size door. Took down Kitchen Cabinets and move my washing washing machine and replumbed it in. I had a new Front downstairs window replaced also and then re plastered to an excellent finish. The took down buildings in my garden and sorted the electrics and waste pipes. Cleared all the mess away. On the initial day they started work they came to the house early to introduce themselves which I was told would happen when the owner came to give a quote for the work and discuss what I require. The owner was very knowledgeable and gave some excellent advice and alternatives to what I was thinking, for me to consider. At the end of everyday the house was brushed and mopped so I didn't have to come back to mess. The crew were engaging and happy to assist and answer any questions that I had. I would employ them again in a heartbeat. They were on budget and on time.

Absolutely fantastic work and service from the folks at Smarter Home, from every conversation with the (very patient) Tony, to the quality work from the plasterers, joiners, plumbers, the whole team. We're thrilled with the end result! The kitchen work was organised really well, everyone was competent, any snags were quickly addressed, and we really felt we could trust everyone. Everyone was willing to answer questions and work out solutions to things that came up. At no point did we feel patronised or dismissed. Particular shout-outs to Chris, Kyle, Neil, and David for problem solving and patience. Will absolutely be returning should we need anything else!

I think we were extremely lucky to find Tony and his team. They have done an amazing job installing a downstairs wc and refitting the house bathroom. They turned up punctually every day, undertook the work with great skill, good will, efficiency and courtesy. We are delighted with the end result and cannot recommend the professionalism and quality of the work highly enough.

S4U remodelled my kitchen. This involved moving doors and windows, taking down the ceiling, and eventually fitting a new kitchen. They did a great job and people have been "wow'd" by the result. Tony, Neil, Dan and Chris and the rest of the team turned up when promised and paid attention to detail to ensure the job was done to a high spec. They dealt with the challenges of working in an old Victorian house, and having to coordinate with other companies (kitchen suppliers, etc) who were far less reliable than them and which affected their schedule. They were also patient with a client who did not always know what he wanted and occasionally changed his mind.

We have engaged smarter Home 4U on several occasions over the last two years. In 2021 The team built my business a new office building where six of us now work from on a daily basis. The team a polite, friendly trustworthy and very totally professional. The work was done to high standard, it involved, removing an old shed, clearing the ground building a wooden framework, walls and floor, building a roof, insulating the building, fitting velox roof windows, double doors, fitting double glazing and finishing off the outside with larch cladding on the outside. The inside was clad, decorated and completed to a high standard. My team love our Office and visitors are always impressed. We all agree that Smarter Homes 4U did a fantastic job on that piece of work. Since then, I have engaged the team on two more occasions The first occasion was to solve a leak in my bathroom which involved removing rotten flooring, rebuilding and re-plastering the ceiling below and fitting a full new bathroom suite. The job was done quickly, efficiently and very cleanly. Today the team returned to our house to install a new ensuite bathroom. I can certainly recommend ‘Smarter Home 4U’. Both Tony and Chris his joiner were polite and friendly throughout. They were clear about what they were offering and sent a written quotation for me to assess. Tony’s invoice was for labour (materials would be added when known) to remove floorboards and if possible carry out a simple repair otherwise discuss options to carry out a bigger repair. This is exactly what happened. At every stage throughout the job Chris kept me informed and before he did the repair he put me through to Tony on the phone, to agree to the next stage formally. The job is done. The warped boards, trip hazard and loud creaks all gone and not a spec of sawdust left. Perfect. Thank you Tony and Chris

I can't speak highly enough of the service and work undertaken by Smarter Homes 4U. After an assessment of work to be done to fix 2 toilets (which 3 other plumbers had been out to and said couldn't be repaired) a plumber was arranged. He arrived on time, was and most importantly completed the work required to leave 2 fully functional toilets. Although both units had to be taken out to complete the work, the plumber's 'wet vaccum' left very little to tidy after his visit. No question seemed too 'stupid' of me to ask. It was a 'small' job for Smarter Homes 4U (½ a day) but has made a huge difference to me. The price quoted was the invoice amount despite there being parts quoted for that the exact price was not known at the time of quoting.

We had started on a refurbishment plan for our front room and just before the decorator was due we found some damp at the side of the front window. Having called a damp company out they diagnosed rubble in the cavity which required a builder to sort it out. We found Tony Turner (Smarter Home 4U) on Which Trusted Trader. Tony fitted the job in before we were due to go on holiday. His operative did a great job in less than two days. Some brickwork had to be removed and replaced and then the interior wall had to be re-plastered. The problem was not only rubble but also an ant’s nest. When the bill came it was less than the estimate. Brilliant prompt service from Smarter Home 4U.

I needed a completely new shower room with wash basin and toilet after the previous wet room had a leak into an apartment below. I spoke to Tony from Smarter Homes 4 U. From the start I had confidence in the process. He came over and not only did he give me an accurate price for the work but also gave me good advice based on his experience of other jobs. Neil, Dan and Carl came to do the work with an agreed start date of 22nd March. The space they had to work in was quite confined. However, this was never seen to be a problem. They explained to me what they would be doing each day and the work was carried out efficiently and with the minimum disruption. As this is an apartment, not only did they work very tidily and at the end of each day they brushed and hoovered the communal areas of the building to ensure there were no neighbour complaints. I was working at home for some of the time and they created a pleasant and professional atmosphere. The work was completed in the timescale agreed. I have been delighted with the work that they have done and the shower room is now completed and I have been using it to great satisfaction. It has been completed to a very high standard. I will use the firm for other work and would highly recommend the job done for me.
