We first met Stuart in 2012 and he has done various jobs for us since, from wall0-mounting new TV, installing new broadband, and installing Starlink. He is always punctual, efficient and a pleasure to have around. Would have no hesitation in recommending him (and have done so to various friends numerous times).

I had trouble fitting an aerial for all my tv ports in the attic. Stuart was able to help and installed with no issues. He was very thorough and courteous, Would use again.

We needed a Wi-Fi extension to a new garage conversion, some distance away from the house. We contacted Stuart who arrived, examined the property and went over the various options available, recommending an overhead CAT-6 cable to a Wireless Access Point in the out-building for reliability and speed (this wasn't the most expensive option, but he said it would have the best results). He identified optimum route for the cable (out to the front of the house from the router, up the wall, back through the attic, out to the garage) and even ensured the cable colours to be used would look good against the house walls. The quote he gave us was good the so we booked him in - he arrived and promptly set about installing the cabling - our attic was not easy to access or to work in but it was no problem for him, and he did a really neat job getting the cable across to the garage. The access point was installed next and a speed test showed speeds the same as the main system in the house. He was efficient, very tidy and cheerful (especially given the freezing conditions outside), and we're really happy with the service. Would definitely recommend.

Stuart resolved the issues with our Sky signal and fitted CAT6 ethernet to an upstairs office. The price was as quoted and the work carried out to a very high standard. Communication was excellent. We have been experiencing problems with our TV reception and found Stuart’s details via Which Trusted Traders. A quick phone call managed to diagnose the potential problem. After trying to find a mutual time to come to complete the work, Stuart offered to come to the house within half an hour! Stuart was asked to resite an exterior tv aerial, and gave a viable estimate over the phone. It was convenient for both parties for the 1-hour job to be done the following day. Stuart arrived as planned and progressed the job professionally; he was not chatty but answered in full the questions I posed. He was considerate about removing outdoor footware when indoors. The job had no unseen complications; the final invoiced amount was less than the provisional estimate.

Asked Stuart to install an aerial on a house we have just bought which only had a satellite dish. Stuart did an assessment of what was needed, gave us a quote, came back the next day and did a great job installing the new aerial and amplifier, and removing old cables etc. Didn't try to persuade us to have anything we didn't need (he checked whether or not we needed an amplifier before installing one, we did, but expected that), tested the signal on completion and left everything tidy. Stuart arrived within the time frame that he gave me and had the courtesy to phone me twenty minutes prior to his arrival. The problem with the television was that I could only receive two channels. We have a Victoria three-storey house with decorative roof finials, and Stuart could not rule out causing damage to the finials with his ladders, but came up with a perfectly acceptable solution, fixing the aerial on a long pole to the rear of the property. He gave us a clear, itemised quotation for all the materials needed for the work, and also recommended deterrent bird spikes, which would not have occurred to me. The date and time were agreed with him for installation. He rang me to keep me updated on progress and arrived when he said he would. Despite wet and miserable conditions, he installed the aerial, aligned and tested its signal, and explained exactly what he had done. He ran three cables into the house for individual TV points, and then tested them to ensure they were working properly. An additional amplifier was also put in to give optimum signal strength. Stuart worked quickly, was clean and tidy and polite. His quotation was very reasonable and, even though he needed to use an additional piece of equipment, he refused to charge me for it because he hadn't included it in his quotation. His work is guaranteed for 12 months; customer service second to none. I am 100% satisfied with what he did, and wouldn't hesitate to use him again if necessary or to recommend him wholeheartedly.

Contacted SMT requesting that they review the aerial configuration and remove old H type aerial. SMT arrived on time, reviewed set up as requested, advised no need to replace YAG aerial. I confirmed old H type aerial was redundant and removed. All work was done quickly and efficiently.

I moved into a new build on 26 Feb and wasn’t able to get any terrestrial channels in my TV or free view box. After some calls on Monday, I found out that the aerial wasn’t live. I called Stuart and he agreed to fit me in after his calls but couldn’t guarantee what time that would be. He called me just after 1 pm and said he would be here just after 2 pm. He arrived and was friendly and quickly got the aerial installed and then checked all the sockets in the house. He even taught me how to tune my TV properly! I would highly recommend Stuart and will use him again if the need arises.

5 stars! I had terrible reception on all my tenants TV's. I made an appointment with Stuart easily over the phone. Stuart was at my door exactly when he said he would be and within an hour and a half he has solved the problem and now all the TV's are working perfectly. After temporarily losing reception, Stuart offered an emergency call-out during the holiday period to sort things out. As it turned out, our reception was only a temporary fault, so by mutual agreement, he gave us an alternative appointment (only a week later) so that he could remain available for those in real need. When he did come to see us he gave as great advice, which meant that he repaired rather than replaced our aerial, saving us money. He also installed 2 tv sockets for us. Stuart responded to our enquiry immediately and came on time on the arranged date to put up a double freeview aerial on the roof. He talked over the best way to do it and finished the work excellently and very quickly. No fuss!. He tuned it all in and also helped set up a set-top box that arrived that day, with no extra charge. I have no hesitation in recommending Stuart. He replied promptly to my enquiry and kept me updated as soon as he was unavoidably delayed. He did not take the opportunity to relocate my aerial, which he could have done, so generating more business for himself and I feel I had value for money. 10/10.

We had problems on all TVs with sound and vision breaking up. Stuart arrived the day after my call and immediately recognised the problem - antiquated equipment. He recommended replacing the amplifier and aerial, and re-tuning the sets. All this was done in an hour. Reception is now perfect (and sharper than before), and more channels are accessible.

I have no hesitation in recommending Stuart. We called him a week ago, he turned up on time, saw the problem, gave us a choice of options to resolve the very intermittent picture and loss of TV channels we experienced, and did not push for the most complex/expensive solution (replacing whole aerial and cabling), but did give us an estimate of what this might cost. He had the required spares/new equipment in his van (coaxial cable, splitter boxes, terminations, etc. etc.) to immediately fix our problem then and there. Very quick work, good price, efficient, friendly and courteous, and explained clearly what he was doing/had done. Re-tuned our TVs and also removed annoying "New Channels Found" messages that always appears. Invoiced then and there and delighted to pay. All wrapped up in an hour.

Stuart Thompson was recommended to me to replace my external roof-top TV aerial with a new aerial inside my roof-space (I had problems with pigeons using the roof-top aerial as a perch and pooping all over my patio). Rang Stuart in the morning and explained my problem. He arrived next day on time and told me what he intended to do to solve my problem. Off he went. Next time I saw him, he said that it was all finished, and I could have a look if I wanted. He asked to borrow the vacuum, which we gave, reluctantly, when all finished, and paid for, he left. All I have is the invoice, tidy house and a few TVs that actually work. Amazing.

I called Stuart on a Friday afternoon and he came to set up my new BT broadband connection. The house is very new and the service hadn't been installed before so there were no existing connections in the house. Stuart. He diagnosed that no aerial was connected, checked in the loft and found a basic set up. Installed a4 way signal amplifier and then connected the phone line and set up the broadband from there. Really impressed with his professionalism and his ability to communicate what the issues were and how he was gong to fix them .Overall installation was about an hour and submitted his invoice at the end of his call. We had a problem with the poor work that had previously been done on our TV aerial connections in the house. Stuart sorted it all out quickly and with no fuss. He was very helpful and made sure we were entirely happy before he left. Also more than reasonable price for all the work

After recent bad weather we lost the majority of our TV transmission on our Freesat boxes. Stuart quickly established that the weak signal was due to corrosion and water damage to the LNB on the dish and immediately replaced the faulty component. He retuned the two affected TVs and we now have many more channels than we really need! Stuart provides a 12 month warranty on the labour and the new LNB. Job well done and at reasonable cost.

Stuart did a great job taking down my tv aerial, which was on its last legs due to recent strong winds and with it also being awkwardly positioned too. A new aerial was installed and again Stuart did a nice of job of it and left everything neat and tidy.

Used SMT for the first time to run wire up to a new location. Stuart turned up on time to do the quote and was able to return within 5 days to run the cable. Work was carried out quickly and professionally. Grommets fitted where the new wire passed through exterior walls. Wiring was concealed where possible. Saturday before Xmas, our sat. dish breaks. Phoned SMT at about 1.00pm, a new dish fitted by 4.15pm the same day. Cannot ask for better service.

Our old aerials on the chimney in the middle of our thatched roof needed to be removed and new aerials mounted else where. Stuart visited us and advised us where to mount the new aerials and where to run the cables. He then provided a detailed quotation which we accepted. On the agreed day, the weather was appalling! Stuart 'phoned us to discuss what to do. As agreed, he arrived early next morning, the weather was fine, and completed the job very professionally - and he only had one cup of tea!

We recently moved to an older property and discovered the aerial had been poorly installed. We read the reviews listed on Which and on this basis called Stuart who was able to give us a budget quote over the phone and subsequently fit us in very quickly for the work to be done. Friendly, efficient service. Just moved to Winchester and the 'LNB' on our satilittte needed replacing. Phoned ahead to confirm arrival time, had it done in minutes and tested to make sure it fixed the issue. Was slightly cheaper than the other quote I sourced.

Second time we have used Stuart to upgrade our TV aerial installation. This time we had moved to a new property and the existing Satellite dish and connections, having been unused for over a year, needed checking and recommissioning. Stuart worked quickly to check the installation, giving me honest professional advice as to options available, checking in the process whether I would be able to receive a consistent terrestrial TV signal. When I decided to opt for Freesat, he rapidly carried out the work required, to include wiring in an additional aerial point, and supplying and setting to work a Humax Freesat box. He is very experienced, trustworthy and reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend or to use him again should the need arise, which may well be the case should our pending Vodafone WiFi install not meet expectations.

Having moved into a new build I needed an aerial fitted in the loft for Freeview TV. I live in a difficult location being equidistant between transmitters. The aerial was fitted in the loft and a booster installed due to the fact that I had a number of aerial points through the house. Everything was done to a high standard and I've had no problems with the kit since it was fitted. I get a good clear signal. As the TV took a while to tune, he stayed while it tuned and showed me the picture he was getting on his portable bit of kit to show that the signal was good. He also tested each of the sockets to ensure they were working properly. The price charged was what we had agreed on in advance (£200). I have no hesitation is recommending SMT Aerial & Satellite Services to others needing an aerial fitted.

Stuart fitted a new tv aerial and downlead & also a satellite dish for our new Freesat recorder. He came out on time in deep snow icy conditions last week to look at what was required, discussed the solution & provided a quote. He then agreed a date, turned up on time & fitted the aerials in marginal weather conditions (wind and rain). The materials he uses are of good quality and robust. He fitted a new terminal box in place of the corroded one free of charge. He is a pleasant effective and conscientious worker who tells it as it is. He took time to explain the setting up & menus of our Freesat recorder. This is the 4th job that Stuart has done for us. I thoroughly recommend him.

Stuart was brilliant, he came out on Wednesday after I called him on the Monday. He was punctual, efficient, polite, left no mess and got the job done swiftly (installing new aerial). He checked it was in working order and returned TV and made sure I was happy. I would definitely recommend him . Our reception is now perfect !

Stuart was able to come out on a Saturday lunchtime, only a day after contacting him. He was able straightaway to fix (with a new bracket) an aerial which had come seriously loose. He was also prepared to help with a Freeview box which had been temperamental. I was very pleased with his work and am happy to recommend him.

Called SMT who visited & quoted the same day arranging to an appointment to come back once the TV had been purchased. Stuart came back and installed 2 TVs and Sat dish arriving on time and completing the work quickly without any mess. we have had problems with the TV for some time and which we had called earlier.

Stuart was very efficient and diagnosed the issue quickly. Our aerial had suffered a broken cable from a combination of age and strong wind. He had all the replacements in his van and quickly restored the signal having rerouted the cable into the house in a better way. Highly recommended. Nice guy.

Working aerial got damaged, so after survey & quote (very reasonable) I was offered a fairly quick initial date-to-fix - which I couldn't avail of, but appreciated. When I had all my ducks in a row, arranging the actual date was easy enough. Final execution was quick, clean & nicely finished; explanation of setup & use was clear & complete; final output on Freeview was better than previous. We had been having problems with our TV reception and called Stuart to replace our existing aerial which we had been using for a number of years. We have been having TV signal issues for a couple of months. Called Stuart he turned up pretty much on time and got straight to the root of the problem of our 10year+ system. Recent 4G signal changes appeared to be causing interference which he explained. A new screened signal amp and a filter have totally cured the problem. A cheap easy fix without any suggestion of trying to flog me a new aerial installation. Very efficient.

I happen to see Stuart's van when filling up my car with fuel. Having problems with our T.V. reception I went over to discuss them with him, he gave me his card. Later in the week I called him out, he phone me 20 minutes before arrival. He sorted out our Sky aerial problems along with getting us re-connected with the free-view T.V. A good job done, very pleased to watch T.V without any break up of the picture.

An excellent installer. Mr Thompson deserves all the fives he gets. I booked for him to come. He arrived on time and was at work immediately. Fast, efficient and effective. Within 90 minutes we had a new aerial fitted outside; the televisions had been returned and he explained clearly what to look for if we had to re-tune in the future. First rate service.
