We recently bought a house that had a 15-year-old solar PV installation on a flat-roofed loft conversion. It needed to be decommissioned/removed to allow roof works, which was all straightforward. Ben also advised on more appropriate/robust fixings that could be installed during the roof works. Things got a bit more complex when it came to light that the installed capacity was below what was permitted on the MCS Certificate, and that some panels had been damaged/removed at some point. Ben was extremely helpful, thorough and knowledgeable in exploring/discussing options to fix this and provided information/words to support discussions with the Renewables Department at British Gas, who were far less helpful - but we eventually got agreement in writing. Installation of the new panels and re-commissioning the system was straightforward, and Ben has provided supporting documentation to keep British Gas happy. Throughout the process - which stretched over 8 weeks - Ben's communication was timely, accurate and effective. He knows his stuff and obviously takes pride in being a subject matter expert. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and recommend So Go Solar.

I rarely write glowing reports for service providers, however for SogoSolar I am happy to make an exception. I had 13 solar panels installed back in Feb 2024, together with a 10KWh Solar Edge battery and a Zappi EV charger. The system has been working perfectly since its start-up nearly two years ago. Over this last summer (2025) our electricity bill reduced to virtually zero, apart from our energy supplier's standing daily charge. Indeed during the summer 2025 we were able to sell £110 of power back to the grid. Recently we purchased our first electric vehicle and Ben was happy to come round and set up our EV charging software to make it all work as required. A company and an owner who is willing to go the extra mile to meet his clients needs. I have no hesitation in recommending SogoSolar for your Solar requirements.

A couple of years ago we were looking for a contractor to install solar panels on our new build garage, to include EV charging and battery storage. Ben was recommended to us by a work colleague who had used him for their project. There were a myriad of options to choose from and Ben was helpful in identifying the pros and cons of different solutions - most importantly highlighting where we could save money. It was this ‘partnership’ approach that meant we felt comfortable working with Ben, rather than trying to speak to multiple contractors and focus solely on price. Ben and his team were extremely flexible to fit around our garage build which was complicated by planning permissions, installation of 3-phase electricity etc and were happy to liaise with the other contractors were necessary, rather than insist on only dealing through me, which saved a lot of time. The installation has been near faultless and the only minor issue was dealt with extremely quickly and without quibble. We had 13 panels installed 9 years ago and we are still happy with them. Ben installed the system in the timescale quoted and the price quoted. Very efficient and friendly. I have recommended SoGo to other people and will continue to do so. There was a minor problem with one of the optimisers recently which Ben resolved quickly.

SO GO installed 14 panels on our roof (4.47 kW peak) along with a storage battery system (7.5 kWh) at the end of 2018 as our roof was being replaced. SO GO provided mounting components in advance to our roofing contractors so that they could be built into the new roof, and then carried out the installation very efficiently within two days, including all electrical installations. SO GO provided predictions regarding likely performance, and they were spot on: the system has so far generated 29800 kWh giving a considerable reduction in our energy bill and making us "greener". SO GO have been available to answer enquiries and to deal with a few issues. We have referred some of our neighbours to SO GO.

Very pleased with my Solarwatt system of panels and inverter. Installed mid August and now earning me money from the SEG export. We employed SogoSolar to install 3 black Meyer Berger solar panels with an in-roof frame, Enphase micro inverters within the roof void and an Enphase IQ battery at the side of the house. The work was carried out to time and budget including re-slating the roof to contain the frame for the solar panels. Handover documentation was received at completion and Ben has always been available to answer questions. The installation has proved trouble free over the past 18 months and the Enphase app is easy to use. I would certainly recommend SogoSolar to anyone looking for a solar panel installation.

Ben and team did a great job of selecting an appropriate system for my small terrace roof of 6 panels and a battery, then working with me to agree on satisfactory cable routings and equipment placement. The information provided before placing my order was reassuring and showed good depth of knowledge and an ability to listen to my thoughts and calm my worries. With their advice, I was able to prepare enough space for them, and they then worked hard to complete the installation in only 2 days. They were pleasant company, polite and flexible people who were a pleasure to have working in my house with a minimum of disruption. I've been very pleased with the neat work and the ongoing remote support as I learn the system.

I contacted SoGoSolar in February 2024 because I wanted to install solar panels on my home in West London. I wasn't able to go ahead with this until autumn last year. In the meantime SoGoSolar patiently dealt with my lack of decision and Ben came round, surveyed and came up with a final plan and estimate. Scaffolding went up in November '24 but it soon became clear that the slightly unusual roof tiles meant that my roofer would have to carry out the fixing side of things. Unfortunately he wasn't free until February this year! Once the work was actually started it was done very swiftly and with the minimum of intrusion and was finished in early March. Having decided to consider a solar panel installation we contacted several companies for advice and quotes. Two companies were the most responsive, visited our property and provided detailed quotes. As a novice to the world of solar right from the initial call with Ben you felt reassured that you were not being sold to but more being educated, advised and guided as to what might be the best system in terms of equipment and layout. This sense of trust only comes when it's clear that your 'salesman' has been in the industry for a long time, overseen numerous installations of different complexity and can actually do the work themselves. Ben was very patient with the barrage of questions and really helpful with setting out the end to end process and likely timescales of third party activities e.g. mains fuse upgrades. He also accommodated a pause in the installation when it became clear that part of our roof would need repairing prior to installing the final panels. This is the second time I have used SoGoSolar. The first was to fit solar panels and this time to fit a battery to the system. Not having any experience with solar systems I asked 3 companies to quote and met two. After getting a hard sell from the first company it was a pleasure to meet Ben and discover that the focus was on getting a viable solution with real world outcomes rather than over promising. I went with SoGoSolar for the solar panel installation because I could ask questions and understand the answers and the reasons behind the answers. The Battery installation was simpler because I knew what I wanted and just needed a good price. I got two other quotes but SoGoSolar was the lowest of the quotes so my decision was simple, go with people I trust. We then hit a regulatory challenge to do with UK Power Networks need for an uprated fuse at our property and that delayed the installation a few weeks but I was kept informed and supported throughout. When the work was done it was very well done (extra thought went into fitting the 'control boxes' into a tight space) and everything was left clean and tidy. I can strongly recommend SoGoSolar and I doubt I will go elsewhere for solar work as long as the combination of good service and fair pricing is maintained.

I was, and still am, very happy with So Go Solar. Ben has always been helpful and patient. He is very knowledgeable about all the options. He worked with us to get the correct solution for a non-standard installation where the panels formed an integral part of a new roof. The installation of the 10Kva battery and controls was very neat with the battery set up to charge from excess panel production or overnight from the grid at cheap rates. Ben has recently been very helpful in resolving a mysterious overnight battery charging problem. Highly recommended.

We had had an issue with our solar panels following a re-roofing and needed an expert to take a look. We contacted SoGo solar having used them about 5 years ago and found them to be extremely helpful and really good at what they do. Once again, Ben responded quickly and did exactly what we needed very efficently and for the cost we agreed. I first contacted Ben in late 2017 to discuss the possibility of adding PV solar panels to my major renovation project which was in its very early stages. During the first meeting Ben gave me a thorough overview answering all my questions as he went through it all. It was refreshing to be able to discuss the installation, which for me was a fairly daunting thought, without any aspect of a hard sell just the free passing of information. When the two roofs were eventually under the early stages of completion Ben visited once again and provided a quotation based on the roof areas available. At the same time Ben provided information for the builder as to how the roofs should be finished off and prepared for the in-roof installation on one of the roofs. The installation went perfectly, the team of installers were very proficient and friendly and happily answered my various questions as they proceeded with the work. If all the other various sub-contractors that I employed on my project had been so plain sailing my life would have been very much less stressful! The system with the hot water boost is working very well and the information on the day to day working of the system provided by SolarEdge is excellent. Post installation Ben has readily answered the odd query that I have had. To sum up therefore I would say that the whole experience with So Go Solar has been first class and I would recommend them for complete solar panel installations without hesitation.
