Having decided to consider a solar panel installation we contacted several companies for advice and quotes. Two companies were the most responsive, visited our property and provided detailed quotes. We chose Sogosolar because they showed interest in our specific requirements and were able to provide explanations of the different systems available - their performance, reliability and costs. Ben carefully listened to our questions and was able to guide us through various options, based on a variety of system specifications for our property. We finally narrowed it down to one that suited us (2 Enphase IQ batteries and 14 Aiko panels). We had the added complication of having a new roof at the same time but this was not a problem. Ben and his team were able to communicate and coordinate their schedule with the roofers and all went smoothly. The Sogosolar team installed the system on the planned date, turning up on time with the minimum of fuss and it was up and running the next day. The work ethic of the Sogosolar team is excellent and it is evident that they are proud of their work. Throughout this whole process, Ben and his staff were in regular communication with us. Since the installation the follow-up service has been excellent and four months on we are exceptionally pleased with the performance of the system.

I inherited a system which was not working optimally and then the meter failed. Ben came and investigated the set up then replaced the inverters and meter for a fair price. I have complete confidence in his knowledge and experience.

What swung it for me: During the selling process Sogosolar actually advised me against buying extras like a battery until they had monitored the performance of the system for a while. Other sellers wanted to sell me extra kit from the word go. The installation was expert, advice was clear and the product is good. I am looking forward to seeing how effective the system is when I touch base with Ben in six months time.

Have used Ben and team from Sogo on a number of occaions in the last few years. Firstly he and his team completely rewired the solar and batery electrical installation after the original installer did it incorrectly. Ben has also helped us move the battery and also changed a faulty manufacturer inverter under warranty. He is very knowledegable, gets the work done promptly and is always very determined to get to the solution when the often wayward tech isn't always playing ball. Good relatonships with the manufacturers which is key. Strongly recommended. Prices always sensible and reasonable.

Ben and his team installed solar panels with a battery and also a backup interface for us. Everything was good and we can't fault them. Very pleased with the final product which was installed to schedule and on budget. The whole team were very considerate, polite and helpful. Ben has also been happy to answer any questions post install. Would definitely recommend them.

I first contacted Ben in late 2017 to discuss the possibility of adding PV solar panels to my major renovation project which was in its very early stages. During the first meeting Ben gave me a thorough overview answering all my questions as he went through it all. It was refreshing to be able to discuss the installation, which for me was a fairly daunting thought, without any aspect of a hard sell just the free passing of information. When the two roofs were eventually under the early stages of completion Ben visited once again and provided a quotation based on the roof areas available. At the same time Ben provided information for the builder as to how the roofs should be finished off and prepared for the in-roof installation on one of the roofs. The installation went perfectly, the team of installers were very proficient and friendly and happily answered my various questions as they proceeded with the work. If all the other various sub-contractors that I employed on my project had been so plain sailing my life would have been very much less stressful! The system with the hot water boost is working very well and the information on the day to day working of the system provided by SolarEdge is excellent. Post installation Ben has readily answered the odd query that I have had. To sum up therefore I would say that the whole experience with So Go Solar has been first class and I would recommend them for complete solar panel installations without hesitation.

We contracted So Go Solar to remove and reinstall our solar panels (which they had installed in the first place) so that we could carry out roof works. Felt very looked after throughout thanks to excellent communication from Ben and Sue. They understood our scheduling constraints and helped us to coordinate with roofers and bird-proofing installers smoothly. Richard and Alex who carried out the work were very friendly and take pride in their work. I'm very happy with the work and would recommend this company.

I contacted SoGoSolar in February 2024 because I wanted to install solar panels on my home in West London. I wasn't able to go ahead with this until autumn last year. In the meantime SoGoSolar patiently dealt with my lack of decision and Ben came round, surveyed and came up with a final plan and estimate. Scaffolding went up in November '24 but it soon became clear that the slightly unusual roof tiles meant that my roofer would have to carry out the fixing side of things. Unfortunately he wasn't free until February this year! Once the work was actually started it was done very swiftly and with the minimum of intrusion and was finished in early March. The extra roofing work meant that the estimate had to be increased slightly but this was all communicated very clearly and promptly by SoGoSolar. I am really delighted by the result and asked them to provide an immersion switch which was promptly fitted and comissioned last week. I strongly recommend SoGoSolar: every person I had contact with was extremely polite and professional; they seem able to deal with any challenges in a very calm and measured way; most importantly the end result is superb.

We recently bought a house that had a 15-year-old solar PV installation on a flat-roofed loft conversion. It needed to be decommissioned/removed to allow roof works, which was all straightforward. Ben also advised on more appropriate/robust fixings that could be installed during the roof works. Things got a bit more complex when it came to light that the installed capacity was below what was permitted on the MCS Certificate, and that some panels had been damaged/removed at some point. Ben was extremely helpful, thorough and knowledgeable in exploring/discussing options to fix this and provided information/words to support discussions with the Renewables Department at British Gas, who were far less helpful - but we eventually got agreement in writing. Installation of the new panels and re-commissioning the system was straightforward, and Ben has provided supporting documentation to keep British Gas happy. Throughout the process - which stretched over 8 weeks - Ben's communication was timely, accurate and effective. He knows his stuff and obviously takes pride in being a subject matter expert. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and recommend So Go Solar.

A couple of years ago we were looking for a contractor to install solar panels on our new build garage, to include EV charging and battery storage. Ben was recommended to us by a work colleague who had used him for their project. There were a myriad of options to choose from and Ben was helpful in identifying the pros and cons of different solutions - most importantly highlighting where we could save money. It was this ‘partnership’ approach that meant we felt comfortable working with Ben, rather than trying to speak to multiple contractors and focus solely on price. Ben and his team were extremely flexible to fit around our garage build which was complicated by planning permissions, installation of 3-phase electricity etc and were happy to liaise with the other contractors were necessary, rather than insist on only dealing through me, which saved a lot of time. The installation has been near faultless and the only minor issue was dealt with extremely quickly and without quibble. There were no hidden costs so everything with installed on line with the agreed quotation. I would strongly recommend Ben and Sogosolar.

Friends living nearby had a system supplied and installed by SogoSolar so we were able to observe the process from concept to completion. They were very impressed by Ben and his team. And so were we. We talked to Ben about doing much the same for us. Ben discussed with us what configuration of components would work best for the house, given its shape and orientation, our energy needs and expectations, and so on, for which he provided a choice of estimates. He also undertook to organise and project managing roof repairs (which it turned out we needed), scaffolding, and so on. Inevitably, changes to the original plan emerged; things like adding a couple of panels, reorienting some panels (requested by a neighbour for aesthetic reasons), adding off-grid capability, and so on. Changes like this are disruptive and we very much appreciate the way Ben and his team accommodated them. We also very much appreciate the advice and help that Ben continued to provide after the project was completed and up and running. This was mainly related to issues with our electricity provider. We have no hesitation recommending SogoSolar; we are very pleased we chose them.

I spent a lot of time choosing an installer for our solar setup. There are many options out there, and I got quite a few quotes from companies including council-run schemes. All the other quotes were just done online, and I'd spoken to other people who'd had cheaper installations and discovered that they didn't always conform to the latest guidelines. Ben came onsite to do the quote, and it was obvious from the start that he has extensive knowledge. I had some very specific requests, for example where I wanted cables to go, as I was having a heat pump installed at the same time and wanted both installations to be as neat as possible. I would definitely advise getting solar and a battery when having a heat pump, otherwise the running costs would be extortionate. Ben was able to accommodate everything (including me asking for things as they went along!), and his team did an great job routing cables through awkward locations. We had a bit of a shaky start when they forgot to get the application in to the DNO, but Ben was very apologetic and in the end it only delayed us by a few days. There was also an issue at the end when the battery failed to communicate with the rest of the system so wouldn't charge / discharge. Ben kept chasing SolarEdge to get the issue corrected, and it seemed to be solved by them providing a software update. SogoSolar is not the cheapest option, but I now have a high-quality system which was installed exactly how I wanted it, and it works extremely well.
