More than happy with the service from Solar Gateway, from start to finish. Getting a quotation (and having it explained) was easy, and the installation was arranged and then carried out quickly and without fuss. No cleaning up to do, which is always a bonus ! The only problem came with the app for viewing energy use (though I think that was more to do with my broadband), but they wouldn't leave until it was resolved. Very happy with the service, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Mark at Solar Gateway was very helpful in helping me get to a PV and battery design that was right for my house. This was done over the phone across a number of weeks and involved Mark answering a number of both installation and technical questions. Mark was very clear in what information he needed from me in order for him to plan and prepare correctly for the install and on the day Mark and his team arrived on time and completed the install over 2 days - scaffolding was required hence the additional day. His team were professional and polite and the Inverter and Battery were installed in my garage exactly where I wanted them to be. The installers were also very clean and tidy too! It’s now over a month since the install the system is working perfectly. Mark linked me up with his hardware supplier so I could get some support regarding building a software interface to the inverter. All in all I am very happy with not only the pre-sales work with Mark but also the installation too. I would be happy to recommend Solar Gateway to other potential customers.

I had solar panels installed with batteries and a water heater for the excess electricity produced. The whole system has worked brilliantly. The installation was quick and with no mess. Everyone involved was very professional and explained everything that was being done at each stage. They even fixed an existing fault in the fusebox which surfaced after the installation but which was in no way caused by it, and didn't charge me for the extra work even though it involved a separate visit a couple of months later. I'm really happy I chose Solar Gateway for the work and would highly recommend them. I would definitely go straight to them for any further work I might do in the future. I have also had the benefit of the summer months to know that we were really happy with the job.

A very helpful company Solar Gateway came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. Mark carried out a survey at my house and recommended a system with batteries. I had little knowledge of how solar works and everything was explained to me clearly giving me the confidence to proceed. The installation was carried out quickly and efficiently. They were very tidy and removed all rubbish. I have an app on my phone which shows the system working. It shows me how much electricity the panels are producing and when the batteries are charged. When energy is being exported to the grid, I know then to use my larger electrical items like the washing machine. With the surge in energy prices i thought i'd better get some contol of my future electrical supply costs. Read up on solar energy & read the reviews of installers from various sources. Contacted several companies for quotes & Solar Gateway stood out from the others - price & specification for the installation was very competitive. They started work at 8am 3 weeks later and were finished by 1pm leaving a neat & tidy jobsite. (installed & commissioned 10 panels, inverter, 2 batteries and wiring). 4 months later everything works fine & the performance has been as expected. Can't recommend Mark & the team highly enough

15 solar panels across two roofs with battery and solar boost (water heating). I contacted a number of traders. One gave a quote for the wrong roof using Google maps. Another did not visit. Another was difficult to contact. Mark of Solar Gateway visited twice was easily contactable by phone answering all my questions. Work completed in one day. A mistake was made and rectified within a couple of days. I am very pleased with the performance of the system. It is as predicted.

I found this company through a google search and was pleased to see that they were a Which? Trusted Trader. Mark called out to see me soon after my initial enquiry. I was very impressed with his knowledge, honesty and price. He explained everything very clearly, and happily answered further questions later. The system was fitted by his team of three including himself. They were very professional and tidy. It was installed and working within a few hours. The app that's linked to the inverter is great, and perfect to show friends how the system is working. His aftercare is great too. I bought a system with eighteen panels and a four point eight kw battery. It's possible to run several things in the house, during a power cut, from the battery, which is fantastic. I generally opt for the boiler, router, light and tv. I have recommended Mark to many friends. They have all been impressed with his technical knowledge and fair price. He's not in the business to sell you something if it's not going to be of any benefit, unlike many of the rogues out there. I'm happy to recommend Mark to everyone wanting a good, efficient system, installed well and at a fair price.

I contacted Solar Gateway plus other highly rated local installers for a solar+battery installation quote (we wanted to use a local company). Mark called me within 24hrs of my email to discuss our needs and arrange a site visit (some companies did not even respond). The site visit took place within seven days (Mark arriving promptly) and the competitive quote and associated detailed report arrived within 24hrs of the site visit. The lead time between excepting the quote and the installation itself was surprisingly short. The installation was completed in half a day and in a very courteous, tidy and efficient manner by the whole team, with Mark himself hoovering up before taking me through the installation and how to use the associated App. Mark was always very pleasant and answered all our questions very openly/honestly and he furnished us with lots of extra information that helped us better understand such systems (advantages and limitations). Post installation questions were also promptly answered and both Mark and Alison kept us regularly updated until we were in receipt of all the paperwork for both the installation and SEG payments. Six months in and the equipment has been faultless, while the system App is far more useful than our smart meter! Excellent service throughout survey, fitting and after care of solar panels. I used Which Trusted Traders to find a firm to fit the panels. Solar Gateway is local to my region and have been delighted with the whole process. The costs were competitive (also based on the report in Which), I received all the necessary information in good time, and importantly Solar Gateway have been very responsive to my queries. I have already recommended Solar Gateway to several of my friends.

Mark conducted a site review and initially recommended an 18 panel system with 2 batteries that more than met current requirements. After reviewing the costs (very competitive) we then opted for a 5kW inverter and 4 batteries (12.6kW) to meet potential future demand patterns, but also to take full advantage of off peak overnight charging in the winter. The installation was completed in a day (over a fibreglass roof) and the results were/are amazing. I appreciate that Mark cannot take credit for the weather, but we are seeing up to 6.5kW of generation, so much so we charge the car up during the day, run the washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer instead of during off peak times and we are still exporting c25% at the moment. Who knew that the sun was so strong in Northumberland! Obviously the figures will be different in the winter, but we have battery storage to see us through the dark days. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mark and his team. Quality team, quality products and very keen pricing (and of course excellent guarantees).

In December 2022 Solar Gateway installed solar panels, an inverter and two batteries into my house. The work was carried out to a high standard and on time. The price of the installation was very good in comparison to other quotes I received. The system includes an app which links to my phone so I can monitor how much electricity I produce and use. This was set up for me and works very well. In December 2024 I changed my WiFi router in my house and I could not get the app to work on my phone. I contacted Mark from Solar Gateway and told him about the situation. Mark went out of his way to get the app working for me. This included a home visit and the installation of a new dongle. It is very reassuring to know that this company obviously values its customers and looks after them years after the initial installation. The system works perfectly and I would highly recommend Solar Gateway.

I was recommended to use Solar Gateway and from the very start Mark explained everything how many panels and exactly where my battery would go. they were very competitive with the quote so i gave the go ahead. On the day they had every thing fitted and working in a half a day and were very professional in everything. I was shown how to view the app and was told if any problems just to get in touch. My solar panels and batteries were fitted two years ago, very efficiently and neatly, and have worked really well ever since, with the Lux app to keep an eye on it. Compared to other quotes it was very good value, I felt under no pressure to rush into a decision and had all my questions answered before and during installation. Recently I had to have a new broadband hub and Mark was really helpful when I was struggling to establish the new connection between the hub and the system in the loft. He came and found a solution then fixed it free of charge on the next working day and it’s been working perfectly ever since. I was very impressed and grateful for the swift, efficient follow-up service so long after installation.

Good standard of work throughout and a good attitude whilst installing 13 solar panels and a substantial battery pack. Arrived at the appointed time with a roofer (not just a solar panel fitter and much better as a consequence) and an electrician who knew his way around green energy systems (many don't). Mark arrived and we discussed my requirements, he listened carefully and then offered alternatives, which made absolute sense, so we agreed on that system. At every stage we were kept informed, the scaffolding arrived Tuesday 3/5/23 and Mark and his Team arrived on Wednesday morning as agreed to complete the Install. Jamie the electrician was superb and offered alternative wiring routes, which were brilliant. Scott fitting the Panels did a excellent job, all were fitted and then the whole system, including the Iboost was powered. My 16 panels / Hybrid invertor / 6.4kw Battery storage / Iboost were installed and working, at around 3.30pm on Wed it was producing over 5KW and charging the batteries. The App was installed and I can now monitor the PV system. All this work was done professionally, with care and attention to detail and they cleaned away any rubbish etc. A superb service from Mark and his Team, my wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this Company.

Mark and the team added panels to my current system as-well as upgrading the inverter and added a new battery to the system. Overall a great outcome. Quote was on the button, with swift execution.
