Solarframe Direct Limited

From the very first visit things were going wrong. I twice tried to cancel the project but was talked round. When the foundations were put in the base height was too high and had to be lowered. When the build was due to start the parts had been built wrong so I had another 4 week delay. The fact that the base had been lowered meant that the only way to cover the water membrane was to plaster the inside which is not what I ordered I wanted brickwork showing. I was not happy with the way the final technician left the conservatory and if I hadn't paid my final bill before he finished work I wouldn't of paid the bill. These are a quick list of the problems I encountered during my time with Solarframe.

From start to finish the project was excellent. From the initial contact to the completed job. Outstanding quality of roof. Really satisfied. Would highly recommend.

We had the front windows of our bungalow done and a new front door. They fitted them all in one day. We were so pleased we ordered the back windows the next day. The day of the fitting it rained all day it the two fitters never stopped. Really great job. The chaps who came to measure up for the windows were really good as well. We have had lots of compliments on how nice the door looks. Very pleased.

Solarframe were brilliant from start to finish! Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable ... and not a pushy salesperson in sight! They replaced the roof and windows on my conservatory and all doors and windows in the house. The whole process was slick and seamless with the job being completed in 5 days. Everyone I encountered was really professional and clearly cared about the job they were doing. I cannot recommend them enough and the finished product looks great!

We had a composite door fitted and the whole process from my first call to the fitters arriving and fitting the door, was a professional one. The fitters were a credit to themselves and the company. Very poite, informative and hardworking. I have no hesitation in recommending this company. A first class service throughout. I will definitely use them again.

Replacement conservatory and new SupaLite Roof was carried out from start to finish in the most professional way. From the placement of the contract I was kept informed from the initial survey to the final completion survey and Clean, the fitters and plasterers worked to a very high standard and treated my home with respect all the time they were there and completed on time. I have ended up with a new room that is now warm enough to sit in, even in the snow and cold weather that we're having at the moment, something that we haven't been able to do in our old conservatory. I would recommend Solarframe direct without hesitation.

The finished extension certainly looks OK and would represent good value for money but took a complaint before we got to a satisfactory finished product. Issues were as follows:- * We had to clean up a few times. * Builder severed the roots on the neighbours hedge. Concrete also left all over the hedge. * Lack of communication. * The door sill was removed but was badly cut. * There were 2 holes in the concrete floor. * There was a hole in the plaster work in the corner on the rear wall. * The soakaway on our driveway was blocked with concrete by the builders. * The glass on the patio door was scratched as well as some of the other glass panes. * The window nearest the party wall, the beading that holds the glass in was missing. * Cracks appeared in the plaster underneath the window. * A crack appeared in the windowsill near the patio door. * The extension developed mould. * The builders put the wall tiles back incorrectly. * The roofer missed off some of the roof edging. * Contractors smashed the old conservatory down rather than demolishing with care as promised. * Keys were left in patio door after it was fitted (we were out).

SolarFrame were professional, thorough thoughtful and communicated with us throughout the whole process. We were kept informed and updated of timings and who would be doing the work. The builders, fitters, electricians and plasterers were courteous and considerate that this was our home. There was minimal mess and the final construction is better than we could have anticipated. The finishing is superb and we have ended up with a stunning extension that has enhanced our house. Visitors are of a similar opinion and they love it! Warm, bright and cosy just what we wanted!

We initially thought we were dealing with a professional company but their response to both door restraints breaking within days of installation was shocking. The managing director did not reply to my letter of complaint, on several occasions I was told that I had damaged the restraints and would have to pay for rectification. Fortunately I had CCTV evidence which changed their mind, when the new restraints were fitted the installer found they were only secured with one screw not two. We suspect the other hole was not drilled because they had fitted the gutter before the restraints, deny access to drill the frame. We also suspect this was because the installation was rushed into two days, not the three allocated. There were other issues indicating a rushed job, maybe we are too far away, my previous local window company were much more helpful. The company never contacted me after to apologise and I believe they owe me one. I could not therefore recommend this company.

Excellent customer service. Quality of door and fitting also excellent. No pressure at all during the process of choosing the door etc. The whole experience I cannot fault. Would highly recommend Solarframe.

We had our old polycarbonate lean to roof replaced with a solid roof. What a great improvement it is. Solarframe are a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Probably the most professional company we have dealt with. Its nice to have a company who turn up and follow exactly the schedule of works. The quality of build and workmanship is second to none. Highly Recommend.

Today I had two composite doors fitted by Solarframe and I cannot recommend both their service and products highly enough. I received a courtesy call yesterday to tell me when the fitters would arrive (Andy & Ben) and sure enough, they arrived this morning right on time. They worked solidly for over 3 hours, and when I came downstairs to see my beautiful new doors it was like they had never been here - no mess or disruption whatsoever. The new doors truly have transformed my house, and I have already received a number of compliments. From start to finish I have been so impressed with Solarframe’s service. They really have perfected the balance between local company giving a bespoke, personalised friendly service yet with the professionalism and security of a large company with years of experience in the industry.
