Solar Kinetics were easy to work with from the first visit to ready a quote. Information was honest and open unlike other quotes I’d received. Every team member was friendly, polite and were always flexible. I was very happy with the service and would choose Solar Kinetics again and have recommended them to my neighbours.

We made the decision to go with Solarkinetics based on recommendations from friends and the fact that they were local to us. Gordon came for an initial visit and really spent time assessing our property and the orientation and the structure of the roof. We really felt he was genuinely trying to pick the best system for us and our circumstances - he was NOT a salesman, and that really appealed. Obviously we were installing them at a difficult time at the end of the pandemic when materials were at a premium and it was difficult to be definitive about anything! Solarkinetics kept us fully informed, answered our queries and phone calls - in fact we once had a reply to our email from all three members of the family-run company! The guys doing the work knew what they were doing and completed the work when they said they would and in good time. They really tried to fit round the timescale of our refurb. We did have to wait quite a time for the panels to be available but that was not due to Solarkinetics. Overall a really good experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Excellent product knowledge provided when the survey was conducted. All work was completed on time and to a 5 star standard. Gordon and his team were very polite and answered all questions we had during the installation. Ongoing communication with Jaine, Angus and the office team is promptly answered when questions arose about the App and setting up charging profiles. We have already recommended 3 of our friends so that shows how much we rated them.

Having listened to our requirements and what we wanted to achieve they had an Informative no nonsense approach providing as much info as we could need. Our decision to add solar PV to our house was not straightforward. As a listed building we were not allowed to put panels on the roof. Gordon did a thorough site survey and talked us through all possible options. Eventually, we decided on a domestic solar array in our orchard, but this required planning permission. It took many months to obtain this, but Gordon and Jaine supported us with helpful advice on the planning process. The installation was efficient and very tidy. Unfortunately the solar hot water diverter was out of stock with their supplier, but as soon as it became available Solarkinetics arranged to fit this. Throughout the process we found the whole team to be helpful and friendly, and we are very pleased with the outcome. Even 16th-century houses can benefit from modern solar technology! I had quotes for our PV system from 10+ companies and Solarkinetics stood out head and shoulders above the competition. Everything from first contact through the estimate to instillation and commissioning of the system could not have been a better experience. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and efficient. They were super responsive to all our questions and requests. Talked us through all the options for a system best suited for our needs. They went above and beyond in making sure that everything was right even to undertaking a G99 application with our distributor and negotiating an increase in our maximum allowed installation under a G98. The installation and commissioning of the system was quick and efficient even down to the scaffolding sub-contractor. Brilliant. The only down side was that they are so busy that we had to wait 4 months for them to be able to install our system - but well worth the wait! Thank you Jaine and Gordon

Solarkinetics is a family business so you know that if anything goes wrong it’s their reparation on the line. After reading the reviews on Which, we phoned Jaine to see if we could arrange a survey. Gordon and his son arrived on time which is always a good sign. Gordon believes in what he does (he is not a salesman on commission) so there is no over-promising he tells what will work and what will not. A few days later the quote arrived, it was a little bit more expensive than some of the other’s (but sometime you only get what you pay for) So, we decided to accept the Solarkinetics quote. I am so glad we did. Scaffolding arrived on the Monday ready for the start of the insulation on the Thursday. The insulation team arrived on time (Gordon his son and one other) The whole team were very professional, efficient, clean and tidy. The Instillation and commissioning were fast with minimum disruption and they managed the project completely. Soon after completion, they posted us a well-presented owner's manual and documentation, including guarantees, MSC certificate and letter from Western Power Distribution to enable us to apply for the SEG tariff from our supplier. Gordon and his son, not forgetting wife Jaine and Bethany, are a very impressive team, everything from initial survey to installation and paperwork was done with the same friendly and knowledgeable efficiency that gives me no hesitation in highly recommending them to others. We chose Solarkinetics to install solar PV on our garage as they were the most professional and the cheapest. The installation was well coordinated and the aftercare to iron out a couple of wrinkles was excellent.

Solarkinetics installed our PV system on time and with minimal fuss or disruption. They were willing to answer all our questions and explain the pros and cons of different configurations and possibilities. All together a very efficient and friendly service leaving behind a first class installation using the best available technology. Solarkinetics is a family business. Gordon does the initial survey and (with his son) the installation, and Jaine does all the admin and communications. They provided two alternative and comprehensive quotes, for different levels of generation. Panels were REC and the inverter was SolarEdge. Pricing was very competitive. They require 25% payment in advance and the remainder on completion. Price was as per quote. The installation was very efficient. There was a good liaison with their scaffolder. Installing the panels and the inverter took two days and involved no mess or noise. Scaffolding was in place a couple of days on either side of the installation. The only slight reservation I had was that they did not warn me in advance that I would need a spare ethernet socket on my wifi router to connect the inverter to the internet. Fortunately, I did. Soon after completion, they posted us a well-presented owner's manual and documentation, including guarantees, MSC certificate and letter from Western Power Distribution to enable us to apply for the SEG tariff from our supplier. At the time of writing this review (March 2021) the system has been working for a week but appears to be producing electricity at a level that was projected. Solarkinetics responded quickly to any queries, mainly by email. All in all a very pleasant experience from start to finish.

They carried out a thorough site survey and produced a very detailed quotation. The installation was carried out very promptly (considering problems caused by Brexit and COVID19). Communication with them was very easy. The installation was carried out efficiently and tidily. We would highly recommend them.

We were very happy with our Solar Kinetics experience. We also took quotes from a couple of other installers and there was a definite whiff of “promise anything to get the sale”. Not so with Solar Kinetics. We felt that we were being told the truth, not promised more than could be delivered, and our expectations were managed perfectly. They patiently and talked us out of a couple of ideas we’d picked up which would not actually work for us, and explained why, although other traders had not told us that they wouldn’t work. The office team were friendly and always replied to queries. The installation team were pleasant and polite, cleaned up after themselves and didn’t need babysitting. Our only hitches came from third party supply delays. We have been very happy with our installation since, and the results. We feel confident that we have ended up with the most efficient set up for our site and budget. Would recommend without reservation.

We saw that Solarkinetics had very good customer reviews, and we can see why. From the initial contact, to continuing support post-installation, we have been very impressed with Jaine (on the admin side) and Gordon (on the installation and technical support side). Gordon did a very thorough assessment of our needs, and was always very helpful in explaining the technical issues of which we had a sketchy knowledge. Because we had a Tesla car, we decided to go for a Tesla Powerwall as the battery system, and although Solarkinetics hadn`t fitted one before, as previously Tesla hadn`t permitted this, they did a great job in sorting everything out. We also increased the number of solar panels originally suggested, and Jaine sorted everything out with Western Power, making the process very straightforward for us. The installation was completely painless, with Solarkinetics sorting out the excellent scaffolders, and Gordon and his team did an incredibly neat job. We live in a barn conversion, so went for solar panels which are relatively inconspicuous, and we have been delighted with their appearance. So, we have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Solarkinetics to anyone who is considering installing solar panels, a very impressive company.

Having previously approached another local solar PV company, we turned to Solar Kinetics earlier this year for a second opinion. Gordon made his first visit to our property in mid May, and our solar PV installation was completed in July. We have been absolutely delighted. The initial site review and planning meeting was extremely helpful, and gave us much confidence. Subsequent communication was clear and the installation of the panels went very smoothly. The integrated panels look fantastic and the SolarEdge inverter and monitoring system is highly impressive. We were impressed by Gordon's thoughtful and "non-pushy" approach. His attention to detail was good, and the quality of finish was excellent. Everything was done very neatly and tidily. In summary, we cannot recommend Solar Kinetics enough.

I had quotes from a few solar companies and these were the last to do so. They were the most thorough, came out to look at the house rather than just a desktop exercise and even checked the shading. Helped to guide me through my options - e.g. advised against a NW roof being used. Helpful with options even at the weekend. They then came back with perhaps the most costly proposal and yet the most compelling. Panels I felt I could rely on with an excellent warranty as well as a package including a car charger and water heater. Cost was higher than I had planned to spend but the proposal made sense. They were happy to tweak it with me and change a few things. With no FIT the focus is on using what you generate so made more sense to put in the diverter/car charger than add more panels producing what I cannot use. Booked them in however then had to be put back a week, irritating but not the end of the world. They were out for a couple days and came back again for the diverter. Friendly, informative, did a tidy job. Had a tile slip off but they came back and sorted it, these things can happen.Communication wasn't as great after but I do have a habit of asking lots of questions! Part of it I felt is that solaredge (inverter brand) give too little info on their kit. They sent a pack out with the warranty and some basic instructions which is helpful. Overall I'm very happy with my set up. Still a few things I'm working through but with time and experience should be fine.

Gordon and his son, not forgetting wife Jaine, are a very impressive team in every respect. I had used them at a previous location many years ago and since then they have only increased in expertise and efficiency. Everything from initial survey to installation and paperwork was done with the same friendly and knowledgable efficiency and professionalism that gives one no hesitation in recommending them to others. The scaffolders they used were of a similar standard and the whole job was carried out during a difficult period of Covid-19 restrictions without raising any concerns. We have amended household electricity use to maximise periods of high generation and I have just submitted my first SEG readings for surplus electricity generated and whilst this is nothing like the feedback tariff I received a decade ago, it still felt good to be doing my bit to reduce fossil fuel usage.

From first enquiry to system (Panels, inverter, EV car charger) commission everything was clearly communicated and went to plan. The subtleties of product selection were helpfully navigated from the family team. Now using our excess electricity to charge the car - good news! The piece of the jigsaw I had not considered up front was that it was handy Solar Kinetics used a retained local scaffold company who were there bang on time and cleared away promptly so minimised any inconvenience.
