From the outset, Solar Kinetics proved themselves to be a most professional and efficient service. Our initial telephone conversations with Jaine encouraged us to arrange a site meeting with Gordon who directed us through the appropriate choice of extra solar panels and storage battery suitable for our new build house. The construction team worked cheerfully and efficiently and we are delighted with the finished product. Not forgetting the back up administrative efficiency of Carol, Solar Kinetics are well deserving of their excellent reviews.

We contacted Solarkinetics Ltd after another supplier for our project went into administration. It was a very stressful time for us, and from start to finish our experience with this organisation was excellent. My initial call was picked up by Jaine who listened to our requirements, immediately put my mind at ease and booked a site visit in for the following week. Gordon carried out the site visit. He assessed our current installation, offered options for a solar battery, hybrid inverter and meter. (We already had solar panels and part of our project requirement was to replace our old inverter and meter and relocate it from the centre of our home to an outbuilding, which didn't present a problem to them.) A competitive quotation arrived a few days later. Upon giving the go ahead, we were given a project start date. We also received reminder e-mails for our installation which was great. The electricians and installation Team, headed up by Fin were a pleasure to have on site. They were polite, professional, tidy in their work, extremely competent and efficient with our installation. Carol liaised with us on the administration and accounts side of the project and once again all communications were timely and efficient. Their standard of workmanship was second to none and we have no hesitation in recommending them. It was such a refreshing experience from start to finish in this modern world. I have had a 3kw solar system on my home for 13 years and sadly have experienced failures of the SMA inverter on many occasions. Each time I have to get a specialist to install the replacement inverter which I get under warranty from SMA. The original installer will no longer support me in replacing the inverter so I had to find another company to help. I made contact with Solarkinetics when I had the latest failure. I have never used their services before but without hesitation they willing offered to help.The service I got has been first class considering the effort they had to put in to getting the replacement ,and putting up with me chasing them every day to get the inverter from SMA and installed for what can only be described as a very low value job. I only wish I had known about this company before and I would have had the original installation from them in the beginning. I can't sing their praises enough, a great company and first class support. They come to my home installed the inverter, gave me some very helpful advise on my system and left everything in tip top condition. Thank you for a great service Solarkinetics.

Having long wanted to get solar panels I was struggling to get a sensible quote, then I found Solarkinetics and everything felt right. Rather than push a fixed solution Gordon and the team listened and engaged, developing a proposal that we all felt comfortable with. The quote was surprisingly reasonable and we gave the go ahead straight away. The installation was equally professional and the whole team worked as one. We recently had a Solar and Battery installation at our house from Solarkinetics in Hereford. All we can say is positive from getting the quotation to the finish of the job! We decided to use Solarkinetics for three very good reasons. They were a local family business They had very good reviews Their quote was actually the cheapest (although that alone was not the deciding factor) Their communications were excellent. We had plenty of questions which they patiently and helpfully handled. The actual installation process was seemlessly organised with scaffolding erected in the morning followed by rails in the afternoon. High winds delayed the panels until the next day but the whole operation was completed within the 2 days we’d been told to expect. The paperwork and and a couple of minor queries from us were promptly followed up and the whole system has been churning out electricity ever since. The scaffolding was removed in a timely manner and the whole place left neat and clean. The app to monitor the system is simple and effective. Totally happy to recommend this company as professional, helpful and reliable.

Solarkinetics installed a 4.45 kWp Solar Photovoltaic Microgenerator system at my home. I have 11 big panels, an inverter and a small battery. Originally I wasn't planning on having a battery but it was absolutely the right thing to do and I'm glad I agreed to their suggestion. They are a friendly family company and I felt confident in their expertise. The work went smoothly with the minimum of disruption. I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

We had been considering solar panels for some time and decided to approach local companies for a quote. Solarkinetics provided us with a detailed quote based on our needs for a bungalow that runs totally on electricity so we decided to use them. There were several hiccups along the way with National grid and ultimately it meant we couldn’t have the exact system we wanted but Jaine reconfigured the system so we ended up with 18 rather than 20 panels. The installation was swift and efficient and the installers Joe and Kieron and the electrician Dan were very professional and completed the work in two days. Gordon then came and finished commissioning the system and explained how to use the App so we could check on what was happening. All in all a very positive experience and we would most definitely recommend them to others considering solar panels .

Solar Kinetics installed a 16 panel solar system with battery. From start to finish, we felt confident that we were in safe hands. No pushy sales patter. They kept us well informed throughout. The installation took just 2 days, faster than we’d expected. And everyone we dealt with by phone and in person, were very professional.

One word could easily sum up SolarKinetics and that would be ‘Brilliant’ but they deserve more From the point of first contact over the phone with Jaine & Bethany the service and courtesy told me all I needed to know - friendly and polite with no tones of a hard sell whatsoever, just good well informed advice with no pressure. Quotes and relevant information were supplied and the decision was easy to follow up the quote and order an installation. Due to SolarKinetics and their formidable reputation I had to wait almost 4 months before installation, 14 REC black panels and a 10kw SolarEdge battery on a 5.11kwh system. Scaffolding erected 48hrs previous and installation completed within 2 days with owner Gordon taking charge of the electrics etc and his 2 installers fitting the panels etc. Cannot fault the on site guys who were polite and courteous with Gordon taking time out to answer my questions etc - they all turned up in SolarKinetic work uniform and in clean, smart company vans - first impressions are lasting and these fellas and their equipment etc certainly give a very credible first impression, their work rate and quality that follows match that impression and is superb. Right from day one to final completion Solarkinetics Ltd have been exceptionally professional. We had a few queries prior to installation and every question was answered honestly and without unnecessary confusing technical jargon. The team that did the installation were equally professional and very clean and tidy workmen. We had an issue with the battery energy bank which required the manufacturer to inspect the system. The battery needed replacing which was done within a week. The engineer from Solaredge (battery manufacturer) said in all his 8 years in the industry, both in Australia and the UK he hadn't seen a better installation. Since installation we have received all the necessary paperwork and warranties as promised. Highly recommended.

Following a problem with our existing solar PV system, we were left high and dry by the company that originally fitted it, when they refused to investigate the problem as part of our warranty. In desperation I phone around a few other fairly local companies, in an attempt to gain some advice, and was lucky enough to stumble across Jaine at Solarkinetics. After listening to my tale of woe, Jaine was beyond helpful and offered me some very sound advice, with a point in the right direction. After having a replacement inverter sent to me by the manufacturer, Jaine organised our 'case' to be transferred from the original 'cowboy' fitters to Solarkinetics and then organised for their fitters to pop around and switch the inverters over, all whilst we were away on holiday!! And to make things even better, Jaine arranged for the cost of the repair to be claimed back from the inverter manufacturer, so we were not out of pocket at all. The whole experience could not have been more refreshing, from the usual approach a lot of companies now seem to take, especially considering that Solarkinetics hadn't fitted the original system and had no obligations to us whatsoever. I will definitely be having Solarkinetics back to carry out the next phase of our solar system install and cannot recommend them enough.

This photovoltaic system with back up battery was installed in September 2022. We are very pleased with the result, it’s all working very well. Works were completed in two days, the battery being added the following week as the scaffolding had to be removed in order to get the battery into position. The son, Finley, did all of the electrical work and we were very impressed with him, he worked on his own the majority of the time . Then the owner, Gordon, came out the following week to get the Solar Edge App to work on our phones, so that we were constantly updated on what was being generated. The original price we were given was honoured, which we think was very decent as prices are going up all the time in the current situation . Would definitely recommend this firm .

Every team member was friendly, polite and were always flexible. I was very happy with the service and would choose Solar Kinetics again and have recommended them to my neighbours.

We made the decision to go with Solarkinetics based on recommendations from friends and the fact that they were local to us. Gordon came for an initial visit and really spent time assessing our property and the orientation and the structure of the roof. We really felt he was genuinely trying to pick the best system for us and our circumstances - he was NOT a salesman, and that really appealed. Obviously we were installing them at a difficult time at the end of the pandemic when materials were at a premium and it was difficult to be definitive about anything! Solarkinetics kept us fully informed, answered our queries and phone calls - in fact we once had a reply to our email from all three members of the family-run company! The guys doing the work knew what they were doing and completed the work when they said they would and in good time. They really tried to fit round the timescale of our refurb. We did have to wait quite a time for the panels to be available but that was not due to Solarkinetics. Overall a really good experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Excellent product knowledge provided when the survey was conducted. All work was completed on time and to a 5 star standard. Gordon and his team were very polite and answered all questions we had during the installation. Ongoing communication with Jaine, Angus and the office team is promptly answered when questions arose about the App and setting up charging profiles. Our decision to add solar PV to our house was not straightforward. As a listed building we were not allowed to put panels on the roof. Gordon did a thorough site survey and talked us through all possible options. Eventually, we decided on a domestic solar array in our orchard, but this required planning permission. It took many months to obtain this, but Gordon and Jaine supported us with helpful advice on the planning process. The installation was efficient and very tidy. Unfortunately the solar hot water diverter was out of stock with their supplier, but as soon as it became available Solarkinetics arranged to fit this. Throughout the process we found the whole team to be helpful and friendly, and we are very pleased with the outcome. Even 16th-century houses can benefit from modern solar technology! I had quotes for our PV system from 10+ companies and Solarkinetics stood out head and shoulders above the competition. Everything from first contact through the estimate to instillation and commissioning of the system could not have been a better experience. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and efficient. They were super responsive to all our questions and requests. Talked us through all the options for a system best suited for our needs. They went above and beyond in making sure that everything was right even to undertaking a G99 application with our distributor and negotiating an increase in our maximum allowed installation under a G98. The installation and commissioning of the system was quick and efficient even down to the scaffolding sub-contractor. Brilliant. The only down side was that they are so busy that we had to wait 4 months for them to be able to install our system - but well worth the wait! Thank you Jaine and Gordon

Solarkinetics is a family business so you know that if anything goes wrong it’s their reparation on the line. After reading the reviews on Which, we phoned Jaine to see if we could arrange a survey. Gordon and his son arrived on time which is always a good sign. Gordon believes in what he does (he is not a salesman on commission) so there is no over-promising he tells what will work and what will not. A few days later the quote arrived, it was a little bit more expensive than some of the other’s (but sometime you only get what you pay for) So, we decided to accept the Solarkinetics quote. I am so glad we did. Scaffolding arrived on the Monday ready for the start of the insulation on the Thursday. The insulation team arrived on time (Gordon his son and one other) The whole team were very professional, efficient, clean and tidy. The Instillation and commissioning were fast with minimum disruption and they managed the project completely. Soon after completion, they posted us a well-presented owner's manual and documentation, including guarantees, MSC certificate and letter from Western Power Distribution to enable us to apply for the SEG tariff from our supplier. We chose Solarkinetics to install solar PV on our garage as they were the most professional and the cheapest. The installation was well coordinated and the aftercare to iron out a couple of wrinkles was excellent.

Solarkinetics installed our PV system on time and with minimal fuss or disruption. They were willing to answer all our questions and explain the pros and cons of different configurations and possibilities. All together a very efficient and friendly service leaving behind a first class installation using the best available technology. Solarkinetics is a family business. Gordon does the initial survey and (with his son) the installation, and Jaine does all the admin and communications. They provided two alternative and comprehensive quotes, for different levels of generation. Panels were REC and the inverter was SolarEdge. Pricing was very competitive. They require 25% payment in advance and the remainder on completion. Price was as per quote. The installation was very efficient. There was a good liaison with their scaffolder. Installing the panels and the inverter took two days and involved no mess or noise. Scaffolding was in place a couple of days on either side of the installation. The only slight reservation I had was that they did not warn me in advance that I would need a spare ethernet socket on my wifi router to connect the inverter to the internet. Fortunately, I did. Soon after completion, they posted us a well-presented owner's manual and documentation, including guarantees, MSC certificate and letter from Western Power Distribution to enable us to apply for the SEG tariff from our supplier. At the time of writing this review (March 2021) the system has been working for a week but appears to be producing electricity at a level that was projected. Solarkinetics responded quickly to any queries, mainly by email. All in all a very pleasant experience from start to finish.

They carried out a thorough site survey and produced a very detailed quotation. The installation was carried out very promptly (considering problems caused by Brexit and COVID19). Communication with them was very easy. The installation was carried out efficiently and tidily. We would highly recommend them.

We were very happy with our Solar Kinetics experience. We also took quotes from a couple of other installers and there was a definite whiff of “promise anything to get the sale”. Not so with Solar Kinetics. We felt that we were being told the truth, not promised more than could be delivered, and our expectations were managed perfectly. They patiently and talked us out of a couple of ideas we’d picked up which would not actually work for us, and explained why, although other traders had not told us that they wouldn’t work. The office team were friendly and always replied to queries. The installation team were pleasant and polite, cleaned up after themselves and didn’t need babysitting. Our only hitches came from third party supply delays. We have been very happy with our installation since, and the results. We feel confident that we have ended up with the most efficient set up for our site and budget. Would recommend without reservation.

We saw that Solarkinetics had very good customer reviews, and we can see why. From the initial contact, to continuing support post-installation, we have been very impressed with Jaine (on the admin side) and Gordon (on the installation and technical support side). Gordon did a very thorough assessment of our needs, and was always very helpful in explaining the technical issues of which we had a sketchy knowledge. Because we had a Tesla car, we decided to go for a Tesla Powerwall as the battery system, and although Solarkinetics hadn`t fitted one before, as previously Tesla hadn`t permitted this, they did a great job in sorting everything out. We also increased the number of solar panels originally suggested, and Jaine sorted everything out with Western Power, making the process very straightforward for us. The installation was completely painless, with Solarkinetics sorting out the excellent scaffolders, and Gordon and his team did an incredibly neat job. We live in a barn conversion, so went for solar panels which are relatively inconspicuous, and we have been delighted with their appearance. So, we have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Solarkinetics to anyone who is considering installing solar panels, a very impressive company.

Having previously approached another local solar PV company, we turned to Solar Kinetics earlier this year for a second opinion. Gordon made his first visit to our property in mid May, and our solar PV installation was completed in July. We have been absolutely delighted. The initial site review and planning meeting was extremely helpful, and gave us much confidence. Subsequent communication was clear and the installation of the panels went very smoothly. The integrated panels look fantastic and the SolarEdge inverter and monitoring system is highly impressive. We were impressed by Gordon's thoughtful and "non-pushy" approach. His attention to detail was good, and the quality of finish was excellent. Everything was done very neatly and tidily. In summary, we cannot recommend Solar Kinetics enough.

I had quotes from a few solar companies and these were the last to do so. They were the most thorough, came out to look at the house rather than just a desktop exercise and even checked the shading. Helped to guide me through my options - e.g. advised against a NW roof being used. Helpful with options even at the weekend. They then came back with perhaps the most costly proposal and yet the most compelling. Panels I felt I could rely on with an excellent warranty as well as a package including a car charger and water heater. Cost was higher than I had planned to spend but the proposal made sense. They were happy to tweak it with me and change a few things. With no FIT the focus is on using what you generate so made more sense to put in the diverter/car charger than add more panels producing what I cannot use. Booked them in however then had to be put back a week, irritating but not the end of the world. They were out for a couple days and came back again for the diverter. Friendly, informative, did a tidy job. Had a tile slip off but they came back and sorted it, these things can happen.Communication wasn't as great after but I do have a habit of asking lots of questions! Part of it I felt is that solaredge (inverter brand) give too little info on their kit. They sent a pack out with the warranty and some basic instructions which is helpful. Overall I'm very happy with my set up. Still a few things I'm working through but with time and experience should be fine.

Gordon and his son, not forgetting wife Jaine, are a very impressive team in every respect. I had used them at a previous location many years ago and since then they have only increased in expertise and efficiency. Everything from initial survey to installation and paperwork was done with the same friendly and knowledgable efficiency and professionalism that gives one no hesitation in recommending them to others. The scaffolders they used were of a similar standard and the whole job was carried out during a difficult period of Covid-19 restrictions without raising any concerns. We have amended household electricity use to maximise periods of high generation and I have just submitted my first SEG readings for surplus electricity generated and whilst this is nothing like the feedback tariff I received a decade ago, it still felt good to be doing my bit to reduce fossil fuel usage.

From first enquiry to system (Panels, inverter, EV car charger) commission everything was clearly communicated and went to plan. The subtleties of product selection were helpfully navigated from the family team. Now using our excess electricity to charge the car - good news! The piece of the jigsaw I had not considered up front was that it was handy Solar Kinetics used a retained local scaffold company who were there bang on time and cleared away promptly so minimised any inconvenience.

Solar Kinetics were professional in everything they did. From our initial contact, they were well-informed, technically astute, practical, polite and punctual. Technically, they were spot-on and showed innovation in their solution to our challenge. Their proposal was clear, easy to follow, and competitive. Everything they said they would do, they did. They coordinated everything on site, including the scaffolding sub-contractor, performed a risk assessment and kick-off meeting, and their documentation and administrative function matched their technical and practical capability. Today Solarkinetics completed the installation of our Solar Panel system. When we first met Graham, he gave us confidence in his knowledge of all systems, and advised the best position for the panels, which would maximise the amount of energy produced. There scaffolders arrived, ensuring everything was ready, with no disruption. The following day, Graham and his installation team arrived, extremely impressed at the way they all worked. As we are going away tomorrow they all stayed late to make sure all the panels were fitted, thus enabling Graham to complete the process today. We would recommend Solarkinetics 100%, there professionalism, pricing and confidence they gave us was exceptional. They are an exceptional team.

Whilst undertaking a self build we needed a supplier to fit into our build schedule. Gordon from Solarkinetics was outstanding. He provided initial options and quotes, giving details for the different options. He attended site on schedule, liaising with our electrician and plumber. These visits were for initial instillation and for later connection and commissioning. Gordon is extremely knowledgeable about the systems and helps you through the whole set up process and continues to provide post commissioning. I had questions about the FiT application and he was able to quickly answer my questions. I would highly recommend this service.

Having researched solar panels in depth, I asked 3 companies to quote. Important to us was ROI, price, where kit was made and local back up and support. Gordon was very patient with my grilling him on various aspects and the only one of the three companies who did not diss the competition (a sales technique we abhor). Once selected, we booked Gordon and team for an early October install - all done in 4 days with minimum fuss and upheaval. The garden was left tidy after the scaffolding and all gutters were cleaned - even a small area of touch up external painting was done - something a bigger firm would no doubt have refused! Gordon and his team were ever courteous and professional and the paperwork for FiT was not overly complex to do - especially with guidance if asked for. An electrician by original trade, there was nothing to throw Gordon off in terms of cabling, routing etc and a cunning little app on my phone tells me how many KWh we are producing each day - quite obsessional really! Jaine in the office answered emails promptly and all paperwork was easy to follow. A good small local team who I would not hesitate to recommend if you want solar panels with a sunny smile!

We were impressed with the thoroughness and technical knowledge of the initial survey and the impartial advice on what would work. The quote was value-for-money and the work was carried out very well in the midst of a complicated re-roofing project. The estimate arrived as scheduled with all the relevant information. Gordon and his team did an excellent job, liaising well with roofing contractors and, despite the irregularities in the tiles of the roof of our old property, completed the job expertly, tidily, efficiently and on time.
