Our radiator came off the wall damaging a pipe & causing it to leak into the ceiling below. I tried our usual contacts who were already on jobs or too far away. Solitaire were quick, responsive and no nonsense - great call service & sent a follow up email with ETA. Our tradesman, Paul was with us within 30 mins of the call. He fixed the radiator back to the wall, tested the heating, gave advice on the ceiling fix and offered to get sorted on another date if we required. Was grateful for the immediate response and Paul was mindful not to drag the job into the next hour, which would have been pricey, as it was an emergency call-out. I would highly recommend and use again!

I have been impressed and very happy with the prompt service received from Paul and his team at Solitaire. I urgently needed my Gas Safety Certificate for a rental property and they quickly scheduled a visit, fitting it around my tenant's needs. Carried out the checks and also recommended future maintenance when required. I would not hesitate to recommend them if you are a landlord looking to get any plumbing work done.

Worcester-Bosch gas combi-boiler annual service. The friendly technician arrived on time and appeared to work efficiently and tidily. Labour is charged by the hour even though the job took less than one hour. There was an excessive mark-up on the Fernox inhibitor which was invoiced at 3.29 times the retail price at £36 for 265ml; I paid £20, which was accepted reluctantly.

Can’t thank these guys enough!!! Jack, Sam and Lewis!! After 3 visits from another Company, recommended by my insurance, I posted on Facebook plumber needed!! Solitaire came up! Within 15 minutes of my phone call for help, they were at my home! Can’t thank these guys enough!! Friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel that my issue was their priority!! Have told my insurance company that their recommended plumbers were so lacking in every aspect!!! Thanks to those on Facebook who recommended Solitaire and thanks again to the solitaire team who not only identified the cause of my leak, but fixed and gave me the confidence going forward that all would be good!! Very disappointed with their work, had a service on our oil boiler and was in my opinion not a thorough job. Also had a leak from the boiler which they ‘assured us was fixed’ but not fixed at all and is still very much leaking. Charge £350 for spare parts and the service, boiler wasn’t even turned back on after replacement parts fitted so not sure how we can be assured the leak was fixed. Also told it wasn’t their faulty if the leak they ‘fixed’ has now pushed through to a different place and would be classed as a new leak - which is rubbish, it’s still leaking from the same place & if we wanted them to come and look at this ‘new leak’ that would be an additional charge. Not using this company again.

This the second time I have used Solitaire to do the annual boiler service and all company employees were helpful and professional, from taking my booking to doing the work. The boiler is working better than ever. It was also very helpful to have an email stating roughly when the technician would arrive.

Very reasonable quotation. Convenient timescale for work to be carried out. The work took three days for a single engineer. Each day an e-mail confirmed time of arrival. The engineer was excellent - efficient, tidy, patient with 'senior' questions. The work was carried out in a timely and professional manner. I was very impressed by the new copper pipework for the boiler.

Solitaire attended on Monday 23 Jan to service our boiler. Unfortunately this could not be completed as there was a small leak inside the boiler itself and it required a new gasket. As promised, this part was ordered & successfully fitted by Wednesday morning. Fabulous prompt service, knowledgeable engineers who are happy to answer any other concerns. Excellent work. Thorough, quick and tidy, didn't make the job more complicated than necessary. Office telephoned to say that, owing to an emergency callout, the engineer might be delayed. In the event, only around 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Price as quoted. Scott (who was extremely courteous and helpful) gave me useful information about the boiler setting which no other engineer has mentioned in my many, many years of having boilers serviced!

If I left stars and every time these guys did me a job I would run out of them. From landlord gas safety certificates to putting in mum's tumble dryer, I’ve had many of the different staff turn off including Paul who runs the company & their work has been nothing short of on point. It’s actually a relief to have a company that can do such good work in the plumbing and gas industry without having to stress are they going to be available in six months time to do something else and then you end up with the bloke down the road doing 50% job just to get the thing done. And whatever they charge you, I’m sure they’re not the cheapest but they are no way the most expensive, and considering the service they bring to the table it is excellent value for money.

I wanted a reasonable price that would be project managed at all stages. People who had used Solitaire before had said they where very good. Dan and Harry worked with due care of my house, leaving it tidy each day. The gutting, plastering, tiling, flooring and plumbing etc was performed by this team to a very high standard. We discovered a leak in our bathroom in the morning and after calling Solitaire they went out of their way to ensure that we had an engineer the same day to do remedial works. The problem with our boiler proved not to be a straightforward one, however through the shared knowledge of Solitaire's engineers, everything was resolved and we were left with a fully functional boiler. I would absolutely recommend Solitaire. They worked in my home for 4 days. During that time, they were punctual, conscientious and polite. I also had a new shower bar fitted and the old one removed. I felt that they went above and beyond to work with me to do this and the result in my bathroom is beautiful. I never feel great about having men working in my house but these guys were lovely. I felt totally comfortable with them there, I didn't have any mansplaining or patronising remarks at all, they were just very affable and friendly. The price was very competitive and I have already figured out the next job I would like them to do. They left the house in a clean and tidy state, leaving me with nothing to do except enjoy my lovely warm home. Thank you so much Solitaire.
