I found this company to be thoroughly professional in all aspects of their work. They kept us informed about any changes that needed to be made. We had to have the underlay done slightly different and they explained this to us and gave us some time to think about it without any pressure to go ahead with the sale as it was an extra cost. The fitters used asked whether it was ok to come a bit later than the time arranged, again there was no pressure to change, it was a request and not a demand. The fitter John did an excellent job and explained any issues there may be. When we were choosing the carpet the staff were very helpful and knowledgable without being overpowering and left us to discuss our choice. I would definitely use this company again and will be recommending them to friends and family.

We decided to go to Southport Carpets after being let down by another company, and we’re really glad we did. The selection of products in the store is excellent, and Paul was incredibly helpful. He offered some recommendations, which led us to change our original carpet choice – and we’re pleased we did. The whole process was smooth and efficient. While in store, we arranged a measuring date, and the fitter arrived on time as agreed. He measured up and gave us advice on the best type of carpet for our lounge, which we’ll be having done in a few weeks. We had carpet fitted on the stairs along with new underlay. The fitting team arrived on time, were friendly, and worked incredibly fast. The result is fantastic – the stairs look like new. We also had our small hallway redone with LVT. Lee was the fitter for that job and he had to do more prep work than he expected to get the floor level before it could be laid. He promised a neat job, and it is – we’re really pleased with the end result. The stairs and hall have been totally transformed. Cost for the work was also very reasonable, and we are happy to recommended for both product range, service and cost.

I decided to try Southport Carpet Centre as I needed a stair carpet runner installed. There were so many choices in colours and styles. Paul offered some advice as I wanted something hard wearing and yet easy to clean due to having a dog. I was left to browse at my own leisure which was great as I kept changing my mind! Eventually I chose the carpet and the two fitters came this morning to install it. They were friendly, efficient and quick. I'm really happy with the service I received from both the sales then the installation team. What made it easier for me was being able to text via WhatsApp as I'm deaf so phoning me wasn't an option. This kept me up to date with the progress of my order. Brilliant service.

I came into the store a couple of times and dealt with Paul A, he was extremely helpful and forthcoming with his experience and knowledge in flooring. He didn’t try to make a pushy sale and gave me space to shop. On the second visit, he helped me finalise the flooring, price costs, and arrange the fitting. I was extremely happy with Paul’s customer service and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. John and Nick came to fit the flooring, and once again I was pleased with the customer service we received and the work they completed. We have recently had flooring laid throughout our ground floor of our house. We struggled to make a decision as the shop had hundreds of designs to choose from but we were helped by the team at the shop and took samples home to try. They then came out ,measured and quoted for the job. The price was very good and a date was agreed. We then had a couple more visits as we were having work done to the floors so they made sure they were ok for fitting. The floor took 4 days to complete and the fitters were great, clean and tidy workers and did a great job. I have found the whole experience to be stress free and I would definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them.

Southport Carpet Centre were recommended to me by a friend and neighbour when I was looking for new carpets for my bedrooms. I wanted something a bit different so visited the showroom and borrowed some samples. Paul Ashton was very helpful and when I finally settled on Sisal carpets a quote was promptly received. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the fitting took place and was absolutely delighted with the results. The fitters were brilliant, polite and friendly and did a fantastic job. I was so pleased with the results i went back a couple of weeks later and ordered the same carpet for my lounge. From placing the order to fitting was seven days. It was also nice to have same fitters return. This time they had to move all my lounge furniture, take up the existing carpet, prepare the floor and once the carpet was fitted they carefully replaced everything. I would highly recommend Southport Carpet Centre - a great choice of carpets/flooring, great service and a great team.

Having just had a new carpet and underlay fitted I cannot praise this company enough. Right from walking into the shop I was treated extremely well, nothing was too much trouble, I was given time to browse through the stock of axminster carpets, was allowed to take as many sample squares home as I wanted. Was given expert advice without the hard sell had all options explained to me. The measuring man came on time was very friendly and helpful. The carpet was ordered and I was informed at every level of the procedure. The fitters were excellent polite friendly people who certainly knew their job. ( not like other firms I've used before) All in all I couldn't fault the whole service and would recommend this company to anyone and will certainly use them again. And Paul Ashton thank you

We decided to visit Southport Carpets after reading the glowing review on Which? Trusted Traders and were impressed with the Mr Steve Hanlon's professionalism, knowledge and experience. The finished result of the carpet and Kandean flooring are excellent. The incorporation of the edging on the Kandean flooring designed by Steve resulted in astonishing result and we are so pleased with it. His team of staff and fitters are friendly and efficient. Kudos to Steve for his excellent service. When we encountered an issue with the floor boards (through no fault of the fitters) after the carpet fitting, Steve personally saw to the arrangements of all the additional work required and continue to follow-up until all issues were resolved and our satisfaction level met. We can't thank him enough for this. Southport Carpet is definitely the go-to place for anyone looking to have their flooring done.

Two years ago, Southport Carpet Centre replaced our hall and dining room floors with Karndean and did an excellent job, so having decided to have the lounge done similarly, we returned to them. The timing of the work was to suit us and a builder, who was involved at the same time. There were no delays, disappointments or extra charges. The design/layout of the floor was done perfectly by their 'in house' team. They was always someone to listen to a query. We were advised of a local firm for the necessary aftercare for a Karndean floor and this was equally as satisfactory. I would wholelheartedly recommend Southport Carpet Centre and Steve for his kind, helpful manner.

I went to Southport Carpet and Flooring Centre after hearing some very positive reviews about their work. I wasn't completely decided on which flooring and sought some advice. Paul Ashton was so helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble, I took samples and probably went back about 4 times before deciding. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to arrange fitting and Paul kept me up to date with the whole process. The fitters (Lee and Holly) were great, they arrived yesterday and did all the preparation and have just finished today. You wouldn't even know that they'd been, there was nothing to clear up and nothing left behind. They have done a fantastic job, the room is transformed and I am so impressed with the result. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Thank you for an outstanding installation of our Marmoleum Cocoa floor for our residential project. It was difficult to find a company who would install Marmoleum sheets for residential. Southport Carpet came through and took the project on. Steve Hanlon, the Managing Director of SCC personally oversaw our project given the specialist material that was used. He was a consummate professional who has responded to all our queries and exceeded our expectations as a domestic customer. The fitter Lee Titchmarsh was very experience and accommodated our request to net fit without weld requiring a high level of technical ability. The floor is seamless and excellent. We would recommend Southport Carpet to anyone.

I found them very obliging, they were supposed to carry out the work on Monday, but my family members were coming over the weekend, and they agreed to work and finished the job before my family members start coming on Friday. staff were very considered, they work very efficiently, and finish the work in two days, which I thought was very commendable. My wife and I have been very satisfied with Southport Carpet Centre throughout the process of providing the complete flooring to our recently renovated bungalow. Steve was very helpful and provided lots of great advice through the early stage of considering best options for each room/area of the bungalow. Steve liaised with builders/tradesmen involved in the renovation to get the timing right for installation of the flooring in each room. The flooring which is mostly Coretec Essentials Boston Oak 78 looks great together with two rooms fitted with carpets. The Coretec flows from the front door, through the hall, then into the family room at the rear of the bungalow. The installation guys did a great job and obviously took pride in their job. We have no hesitation in recommending Southport Carpet Centre, headed by Steve.

Absolutely over the moon with our new training room floor at EFT, we're updating the facilities and had Southport carpet and flooring centre come in and install new lino and carpet tiles, the staff were great from the get go and the guys who came to fit the flooring were really fast well mannered and are a credit to the company absolutely chuffed and cant sing the shops praises enough, highly recommend.

I had beautiful sisal carpets fitted throughout my bedroom stairs and landing and immediately followed with top quality hard flooring through an additional two rooms. Steve was fantastic throughout, he was so knowledgeable about the products and ensured that I got exactly the quality and finish I was looking for and all within my budget. The fitters did an excellent job with the minimum of fuss or disturbance. We previously used Southport Carpet Centre to supply and fit Karndean flooring in our kitchen/dining room and they did a fantastic job, so when we wanted to replace our stair carpet it was the first place we thought of. Southport Carpets have a wide choice and as we wanted something a bit different it was the ideal place. Steve helped us select the right carpet for the job and advised us on edgings. We were not the ideal clients as we had to push the fitting back several times as we were waiting for other jobs to be completed before the carpet was fitted, however they were brilliant about it. When the fitters came to lay the carpet they did an amazing job. All in all we would not hesitate to recommend them, first class!

Southport Carpet Centre we’re the specialist flooring contractor appointed by our home insurance company to replace the Karndean flooring in our kitchen/dining area after the concrete floor had to be dug up to repair some collapsed drainage. From the initial site survey, Steve and his team were extremely attentive and professional, providing advice and guidance throughout. They were acutely aware how disruptive the works would be to our day to day living and planned the work meticulously in order that we could still function and use our home. The team that came to install the floor were courteous and knowledgeable and completed the work on time and with great workmanship. Steve, who is the managing director, kept in contact throughout and after the work to ensure we were happy with things. Having had such a great experience with Steve and his team, we decided to ask him for a quote to install new carpets throughout the rest of our home. Once again, his advice and guidance was first rate. They have just completed the re carpeting works and we are extremely pleased with the quality of the carpet and the fit. The installation team were extremely polite and professional and trustworthy, to the extent I felt more than comfortable leaving them in my home whilst I was out. The carpeting works were quite extensive but all the hard work moving furniture around was carried out by John and Liam, the installers. Firstly, apologies for the late review. Special thanks must go to Paul who dealt with my husband and I when we first went into the shop. Paul’s attention to detail was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He certainly went the extra mile to ensure we got exactly what was needed. We had the whole of our apartment carpeted, plus, special flooring throughout the ground floor. Every aspect of the project was well within the agreed timescale. The fitting of the carpets was carried out by John and Liam. They were so professional, the carpets fitted beautifully and such lovely guys, a real pleasure to have them in our apartment. We could not fault any aspect of their work. Special thanks must go to Lee, who fitted our flooring. We are thrilled with the work carried out it looks spectacular and beautifully fitted. We had brilliant customer service from start to finish. Steve liaised with us throughout the whole process and he was very approachable and accommodating with any of queries. The quality of the product and the fitting were both of the highest quality with such a friendly fitting team. We had quotes from three separate floor companies and Southport flooring company were a third cheaper than one which is a considerable amount on a full house renovation. It is with every confidence that we can recommend Southport Carpet Centre, after they recently fitted a new carpet to our showroom on Lord Street Southport. Steve was very helpful with the choices and kept great communication with us throughout. It was a difficult job with lots of antique furniture, counters and display cabinets. John and Liam we're not only highly experienced and skilled at fitting our carpet, but we're also very friendly, personable and respectful to our furniture and stock. They worked hard and left the place spotlessly clean. Our experience with Southport Carpet Centre has been extremely positive and we are most grateful and very happy with our new flooring.

Brilliant Service from all the fellas at Southport Carpet and Flooring, our order was dealt with by Steve, he was very informative, broke it all down for us into an itemised invoice. Which for two people who haven’t had anything done to their house or floors was so helpful as it’s easy to get lost in all the ‘shop talk’ we needed quite a lot of prep work done to the floors. The floorers and fitters they use were two really lovely fellas, really respectful of the property and super professional and quick to do what they needed to, no messing and gave us exact times when the floors would be ready and fitted. They stuck to their plan, no stress, reliable. Really happy with the service from start to finish, very rare these days where everything is overpriced and slap dash. Not these guys. So happy with our floors. They are fitted beautifully (not easy in an 1940’s build where it’s all a bit cockeyed) and look brilliant, we have had a lot of compliments. We hired Southport Carpet and Flooring after having great reviews from a friend of ours and also a family member and I am so grateful we did. From going into the shop to first look at the flooring we wanted to the final product, we couldn’t be happier. Nothing was too much and everyone was so helpful throughout. The day before fitting I asked for our old flooring to be taken up and they were more than happy to help and assist and were not phased at the late notice. The final result has completely transformed our house and we are overwhelmed with the result. We cannot thank everyone enough for the amount of time they gave us in order to ensure we were making the correct choices and being patient with us when we didn’t understand the different woods and types of flooring options we had. I can recommend Nick and his crew at Southport without hesitation. They did a great job for us some years ago for fitting downstairs carpets, including high-quality ones for a big hall, stairs and landing. Their prices were very advantageous and the fitters were faultless, especially lining up the sightline for a difficult pattern from the hall and up the stairs. The time came to replace our bedroom carpets and two weeks ago we went straight to Nick to see what he could do for us. He has a huge choice of carpets and flooring an9d took great trouble to fit our budget. He's also upfront about other costs (joiner to trim doors etc). His fitters turned up bang on time and did another absolutely spot-on job. This review is very positive because we've had some cowboys doing work to our house but others have been brilliant (like roofer Jim!) and Nick and Co. are one of the brilliant ones. Beware, if you think Nick has done you a good deal he might ask you for biscuits - I baked him and his crew a cream cake. Enjoy, guys.
